Belkin Surf Wireless Modem / Router Crashing Windows 7?
Mar 13, 2011
I am using a Belkin Surf wireless modem/router with this computer (Vista) no problems at all. When I boot up my HTPC (Windows 7) all is fine until it tries to connect with the Belkin Surf. Then its Blue Screen of Death and no joy. If I turn off the modem, the HTPC boots up perfectly normally. Turn the modem on and as soon as I try to recognise the home network, it crashes again.
I have replaced my father's wired modem (he's with [url]... in the UK) with a Belkin Surf+ (F7D2301uk) router running firmware version 1.00.16. When he tries to access the network from his Tosh C660 Win 7 Home Premium, 64bit laptop the network connection between the laptop & router disconnects after a minute or so. The only way to reestablish a connection is to Disconnect and Connect again in the Wireless Network section of Networking panel. But here's the weird bit. My own Mac Book keeps connected fine without any problems as does my Sony Ericsson X10 phone.
I'am having problems when connecting to the internet. I'am running Win7 64-bit and i have Belkin USB wireless adapter( Belkin surf N150) When i first bought the adapter it didnt connect to internet, so i though it is not working and i got it replaced. I got the same problem with the second one as well, and then i have changed the wireless mode on the device manager from: IEEE 802.11b/g/n to: IEEE 802.11b and eventually i have connected to internet without any errors, but in this mode the internet is unbelievably slow which is very slow when compared to another wireless mode where i have changed it from. So my question is why i can't connect to internet IEEE 802.11b/g/n in this mode? The weird thing is that some times it connects to internet with no error and dissconnects again in a short while. Also when the windows tries to repair it, i get this report:
Windows Network Diagnostics Publisher details

I am experiencing a great inconvenience with my relatively new Belkin Surf+ N300 wireless ADSL router.I am confident that the router has been doing this since I got it, however I have not noticed until now. Whenever I try to access a URL with the word "router" anywhere in it (e.g url...) it will take me to my router's settings page (usually comes up when the router's LAN IP is entered)Yes this is very handy if you don't know the LAN IP, or are less skilled in router management, however if, like in my case, you like to access websites with "router" in their URL, you have a serious problem. I have tried factory resets, and have scoured through the settings of the router but have been so far unsuccessful.
I connected a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Modem-Router have been trying 2 weeks to get it to work wirelessly, The icon for Belkin bottom right side of screen says "Connected to the belkin router via ethernet cable, and if I click the icon for computer connection info it says "Unidentified network (Belkin) Acess: Local Only.) I can use the internet while I have the ethernet cable attached to computer and using wired broadband, but once I take out cable I lose all connection. Have been in touch with Belkin by phone for 4 hours, they replaced unit but still can't get the wireless internet, the wireless is turned on(WAN & Bluetooth are turned on)
this has been a new developing problem i have been having it its starting to be a pain in the you know what. Recently i have been losing connection off the network countless times a day then to have problems getting back online. I have a Belkin Surf and Share Wireless N router that was working perfectly. i have a laptop sitting next to me that doesnt go offline when i do. Seems like im the only person in the house hold experiencing problems. I even tried a different wireless card and still have the same issue. im clueless on what to do. i tried flushing my DNS several times. I have a connection of only .30 mbsp from this issue as well.
my TWC connection and I can surf the net everywhere but when he takes it to his home and connects through his DSL he can pull up Google and can even search through Google but he cannot go to yahoo.com or Aol.com. Malwarebytes comes up with no infected files. I did a restore and the same problem. I did a recover! And same problem. I pulled up a Cmd window and run an ipconfig. I am used to seeing a 192.168.x.x address but on his I get a 10,x,x,x number.
If the Belkin Surf N300 (Model No F9J1002v1) is CN21/ADSL2 compatible? It doesn't mention it on the box and try as I may I can't get through to tech support UK as I keep getting cut off and the J model router is not recognized on the UK website only the K

We have 12 PC connected through a Switch(D-Link 10/100 mbps) with Configtured with Manual IP Address. the IP address range is 192.168.1.1 subnet mask 255.255.0.0 default gateway 192.168.1.1.Internet Cable Connected from Modem to Switch Directly & all the computer access internet by filling DNS with 202.56.224.153 other 59.144.127.17, We fill this DNS only where we want Internet access allowed by limiting that pc with Limited User access. How to configure Belkin Surf N300 Router with this network.
I have a belkin surf n300 usb wireless N micro adapter. No problems installing this adapter on a HP Desktop running windows 7. I have tried to install on a gateway laptop also running windows y 64 bit. In device manager it show that the product is working. It will not connect to any network. The adapter is an F7D2102 az ver. 2011az
We have owned a this router for nearly a year now, and recently it has been acting up.Today I added a static connection or something of the like for my Xbox, with the correct ip gateway and subnet mask. Since the restart it has never stopped cycling the boot sequence without end. The download lights cycle and the router light flashes constantly. And I am unable to connect to the router page at 192.168.2.1 So I cannot reset the router, the hardware reset button just momentarily pauses the endless booting process.
I have a DSL model from AT&T that gives me 4 ports and I have a Belkin Wireless router that gives me another 4 ports. BUT, the computers on the AT&T modem cannot see the computers on the Belkin router. Should I set the address in the Belkin router to the one the AT&T modem has?
My Belkin "ADSL 2+ Model with Wireless G" router suddenly stopped allowing wireless access this afternoon - right in the middle of use - although the wired connections to that router still work fine. No settings seem to have been changed on the router, and I'm the only one with access. Two phones and a laptop that normally work fine just won't get an connection. The laptop - running windows 7 - says the configuration saved did not match what the router was asking for. I tried another computer that doesn't normally connect by wireless and was prompted for a WEP key - which is odd because the router is configured for WPA/WPA2 AES access with a 9 character pre-shared key. After trying a key unsucessfully I haven't been able to get that prompt up again.Meanwhile I've gone into the router settings and it's definitely set to ask for WPA/WPA2. There are some WEP keys specified if I use the drop-down menu to select WEP, but I can't get any device to prompt me to enter one now.
I have recently installed a TWC Ubee modem/router combo and have networking a laptop and another PC (this one). The holds a constant internet connection. The PC using a Belkin Wireless G network adapter card is frequently losing connectivity to the internet.
I have a Belkin F5D 8633-4 wireless modem/router which also has ports for wired connections. Would like to network the 3 PCs that currently use it for internet to be able to share printers. 2 are XP Home and 1 is XP pro. XP pro is the wireless the other 2 are wired.Tried the Wizard on XP pro but could not get it to work. Ideally I would like all 3 PCs to be able to access either of the 2 printers that I have but if I could do it with 2 of the PCs that would be OK.
I bought this ( Belkin N150 Wireless Modem Router with Push Button Security Set Up and Network Status Display (F6D4630uk4A): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories )I want to use this instead of the modem I have now. Is it possible to make this my modem to connect to from the internet? I have a cheap talktalk modem and I want to get rid of it.
Basically what is happening is I have a fiber decoder whitch goes into My belkin modem which controls my phone and Internet and with the company I am with we need that modem, I also have a netgear router so I can have wireless through my house but I want to plug LAN into the belkin router and still use the netgear for transmitting wireless. In short I want LAN in belkin but still have the netgear transmitting wireless and everything on the same network,E.g I have a pioneer amp and I use the iPhone app icontrol over my wireless but I can't because the amp is plugged into the belkin and the app is using netgear.
Just purchased a Belkin N600 DB N+ Wireless Router because the wireless on my Actiontec PK5000 really isn't so great. When I hook up the router to my modem and after running the install CD I couldn't get connected to the internet. So I looked at my modem and noticed the light where I had plugged in my router VIA ethernet wasn't lit up like the rest of my ethernet ports even after switching them around.
I bought "Belkin N150 Wireless Modem Router" and while installing noticed that the ADSL slot is too short that does not fit the LAN chord, instead fits the telephone chord. How do I fit the LAN chord fit in the ADSL slot? Any alternatives? My ISP comes with a LAN chord and is connected directly to my PC.
I have a WRT120N router set up with WPA2 security and set to channel 11. Everything is connected via the router (one wired computer, up to a max of 5 laptops but just 2-3 on a regular basis, a wired xbox360, wireless wii and a few cell phones occasionally connect wirelessly). Everything has been working great, been getting at or very close to the 6mbps we are supposed to be getting...until the past 2 weeks. Suddenly the connection drops repeatedly throughout the night. It either shows local only or just "limited connectivity". Normally when this happens my laptop will pick the signal back up when things are normal but I am actually having to disconnect and reconnect for it to work again. It happens again in about 30 min to an hour after that. Also, our connection speeds are showing at .5 - 1.5 instead of 6. I plugged the cable modem (the 660 series sent out by sprint/embarq/century link (or whatever name they are going by today lol) into the computer directly and got 5.7mbps. I have tried power cycles of both pieces of equipment but that doesnt work.
I bought a E1200 and have it hooked up to my Comcast internet.. When I have my computer hooked up directly to the modem I get a 30mbps download speed. When I connect it to my router the download speed crashes to about .5-.75mbps.. My upload stays pretty stable at around 6-7mbps.
I am trying to set up a new Belkin modem/router.I have Internet on all three computers over both ethernet and wireless, but no local network. I think the problem may be IP addresses, but I cannot solve it.The LAN settings in the router now are:
DHCP (.) On
IP Pooling Start 192.168.2.2 IP Pooling End 192.168.2.100
Lease time: forever
LAN/DHCP Client List is empty. With the previous modem the IP addresses of the machines were from 192.168.1.2 upwards, but the new modem considers this range invalid.(This isn't specifically an XP problem as one of the machines is Window-7).
My WRT160Nv3 appears to be working fine however, I believe there's something wrong with the setup that's making my connection unreliable. All my devices can detect the router, they can connect, but once it comes to surfing on those devices, no pages are loading up despite being connected with excellent signal strength.
I have a network with xp and vista and want to add my computer with windows me. The network worked well with my linskys router but the modem went out and- frontier net came and put in a westell 7500 which is a router modem not supporting windows me
My new Windows 8 computer is not wi-fi capable, I bought the adapter but it only works with Windows 7, they have a link to upgrade to Windows 8 but I don't know where to go from there.
