Mar 2, 2011I'am having problems when connecting to the internet. I'am running Win7 64-bit and i have Belkin USB wireless adapter( Belkin surf N150) When i first bought the adapter it didnt connect to internet, so i though it is not working and i got it replaced. I got the same problem with the second one as well, and then i have changed the wireless mode on the device manager from: IEEE 802.11b/g/n to: IEEE 802.11b and eventually i have connected to internet without any errors, but in this mode the internet is unbelievably slow which is very slow when compared to another wireless mode where i have changed it from. So my question is why i can't connect to internet IEEE 802.11b/g/n in this mode? The weird thing is that some times it connects to internet with no error and dissconnects again in a short while. Also when the windows tries to repair it, i get this report:

Feb 2, 2013I have belkin f5d7632-4 router, it works ok wirelessley with my smartphone when it is 'open' but setting a passphrase on the router stops access from the phone even with the correct passphrase, other devices act the same as though it is the wrong passphrase

The printer sees the belkin wireless router network name but cannot connect to it( after entering the correct security key). It worked fine with a previous wireless router. My desktop PC is connected to the belkin router via direct ethernet, and I want to be able to access my wireless printer which is located in another room from my PC. I think I remember reading that the canon mg5220 may not support WPA2 security, but Its only a year old and would prefer not to regonfigure my router's security setting. how I can get this printer to connect to my router?

Steps taken:Modem and router have been shut down and restarted.Router has been returned to factory settings and reconfigured.Validated with my ISP there are no issues with my internet service. Router software has been uninstalled, reinstalled I do not use McAfee. I've run a full virus scan, a full malware scan and just for good measure, a defrag. I've checked my firewall.

Then its Blue Screen of Death and no joy. If I turn off the modem, the HTPC boots up perfectly normally. Turn the modem on and as soon as I try to recognise the home network, it crashes again.

Based on that experience I upgraded to a e4200.But so far it's not living up to my expectations (media server not probably working with external harddisk, no advanced logging of incoming/outgoing traffic, connection problems) and I'm getting pretty frustrated with it.Problem right now is that one of my laptops with Windows 7 is often not connecting correctly to the wireless network of the e4200. It's giving a "unidentified network" error. Rebooting computer and router is not working. The computer is (always) reliable connecting to another wireless network in my home. Nov 2, 2012Uninstalled McAfee. Installed Frontier Secure, which uses the Windows Firewall. Received Windows Security Alert message that my Belkin USB Storage Center (where the printer is listed) was being blocked, and would I like to allow access. I selected "Allow Access". Printer has not been connecting all week. No error messages - it tries to connect, and then just stops. Can't find issues with the router or the printer - only with the firewall. Everything looks the way I assume it should - the printer is listed in the Belkin storage center. The Belkin storage center is listed in the firewall. There is no tech support for the firewall. There is no tech support for the printer.

BUT try as I might I can't get an old sony vaio running windows 2000 professional to connect to the internet. It talkes to the box and even allows the lap top to hop on as a guest but it goes through to a guest sign on web page and no matter what combination of passwords (i am sure i have the write guest sign on) it just refuses to actually connect. I never had a problem connection to our previous wireles router.
Belkin F5D7633 Connecting WIMAX Internet To ADSL Router
Mar 12, 2013I have a Wimax internet connection via an ethernet cable from a small roof top receiver dish. Inside the house the cable (RJ45) is plugged into the POE slot on one side of a small electrically powered black box, and from the other side, an ethernet cable (RJ45), connects to my PC. I want to share my internet connection with my HTC mobile and would prefer to make use of an existing Belkin 54g ADSL2 modem/wireless router (Belkin F5D7633) if I can. As this router's incoming port is specifically for ADSL my internet RJ45 cable can not plug into it. I have been advised that I can still utilise the router part of the Belkin though, using my PC as an access point, by plugging the ethernet cable from the PC side of the little black box into LAN 1 on the router, then joining the PC to LAN 2 of the router with another ethernet cable.I did not alter the configuration of the Belkin at all (having reset factory defaults beforehand), mainly because although I could access the internet from my PC and my mobile, I could not access the IP address of the router, presumably because the properties of the local area connection on my PC remained unchanged with the IP address (172.168.1.149), Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0), Default Gateway (172.168.1.1) and 3 DNS addresses (172.168.1.1) (10.30.0.1) (8.8.8.8) as they were before hooking up the Belkin. The IP address the mobile received through WIFI on connecting to the Belkin was 172.168.1.148
I was not unduly concerned about not being able to access the configuration of the router as everything was working as I had hoped it would and even when I powered off my PC I still had internet access on my mobile. On rebooting the PC, however, I found that the router changed the DNS addresses on the PC to 2 only, both identical (192.168.2.1) and the IP on the mobile was allocated 192.168.2.2 Although I could still access the internet on my PC, I no longer had access from my mobile although the WIFI connection to the Belkin showed as being 'excellent'. When I did a 'repair' of my internet connection, hoping to revert to a fully operative state, the PC configuration changed again as follows: IP address becomes that of the router (192.168.2.1), Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0), Default Gateway (192.168.2.1), 2 DNS addresses (192.168.2.1) and the IP address allocated to my mobile remains (192.168.2.2) This configuration means I have no internet access from either PC or phone, but CAN access the router configuration. I restored a usable operating state by unplugging the power from the router, transposing the cables in the LAN ports on the router (swapped cable from LAN1 to LAN2 and vice versa), turned off WIFI on mobile and waited a minute or two. When I powered the router back up and switched on mobile WIFI again, everything was restored to the original working state and I have, once again, access to internet on both PC and mobile. It is very frustrating, however, to keep performing this ritual and I wonder if any of you more technically minded, know a way to work around this, perhaps by manually changing the configuration of PC or router?

However If I connect from a MacBook / safari, I'm able to reach the page fine (and admin the router).

Belkin N Router Connecting To G Modem/Router?
Oct 21, 2011I recently purchased a new Belkin N wireless router, model number (F5D8236-4 V3), i am however trying to connect this router to my old Belkin G wireless Modem Router (F5D7632-4 Ver7000uk).Now i can't seem to get the N router to connect to the internet-after much faffing about i can get all the LED lights to turn blue-bar the wireless which blinks amber (i did this by turning the DHCP server off, and by using the same WEP code). I get limited connectivity wirelessly and wired, which basically might aswell just say no connection.
Taking the N router out of the equation, the g router can connect to the internet wired (it no longer seems to work wirelessly, and had a horrible range on it anyway). I use a PPPoE connection-all my ISP details are correct.how i can get the N Router to work wirelessly and wired.
