View 1 RepliesWe have a Belkin Play N600 model F7D8302 v1 duel band router. It connects to the Blue Ray player about 40' away in living room and to ipad mini used about 15' in adjacent bedroom.I will not connect to the ipad when farther than 20' away anywhere in the house. I moved the router away from the computer as suggested in the manuel, still same problem. I tried to get support from Belkin and they said this is not listed as a supported product without buying something on their website. If I spend any more money, it won't be to Belkin as I have only owned this router 2 months now.

I have many other wireless devices that connect fine (xbox 360, 2 iPod touchs, and another laptop). It will connect fine at my in-laws and my buddy's house. I don't know if this means anything but I set up the network on the HP. It worked fine hooked up throu an Ethernet cord. I know it's not the modem or router. In my network center it will identify the network and show it's connected but in the manage wireless networks window it says it's connected to an unidentified network. The router is a belkin.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Wimax internet connection via an ethernet cable from a small roof top receiver dish. Inside the house the cable (RJ45) is plugged into the POE slot on one side of a small electrically powered black box, and from the other side, an ethernet cable (RJ45), connects to my PC. I want to share my internet connection with my HTC mobile and would prefer to make use of an existing Belkin 54g ADSL2 modem/wireless router (Belkin F5D7633) if I can. As this router's incoming port is specifically for ADSL my internet RJ45 cable can not plug into it. I have been advised that I can still utilise the router part of the Belkin though, using my PC as an access point, by plugging the ethernet cable from the PC side of the little black box into LAN 1 on the router, then joining the PC to LAN 2 of the router with another ethernet cable.I did not alter the configuration of the Belkin at all (having reset factory defaults beforehand), mainly because although I could access the internet from my PC and my mobile, I could not access the IP address of the router, presumably because the properties of the local area connection on my PC remained unchanged with the IP address (172.168.1.149), Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0), Default Gateway (172.168.1.1) and 3 DNS addresses (172.168.1.1) (10.30.0.1) (8.8.8.8) as they were before hooking up the Belkin. The IP address the mobile received through WIFI on connecting to the Belkin was 172.168.1.148
I was not unduly concerned about not being able to access the configuration of the router as everything was working as I had hoped it would and even when I powered off my PC I still had internet access on my mobile. On rebooting the PC, however, I found that the router changed the DNS addresses on the PC to 2 only, both identical (192.168.2.1) and the IP on the mobile was allocated 192.168.2.2 Although I could still access the internet on my PC, I no longer had access from my mobile although the WIFI connection to the Belkin showed as being 'excellent'. When I did a 'repair' of my internet connection, hoping to revert to a fully operative state, the PC configuration changed again as follows: IP address becomes that of the router (192.168.2.1), Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0), Default Gateway (192.168.2.1), 2 DNS addresses (192.168.2.1) and the IP address allocated to my mobile remains (192.168.2.2) This configuration means I have no internet access from either PC or phone, but CAN access the router configuration. I restored a usable operating state by unplugging the power from the router, transposing the cables in the LAN ports on the router (swapped cable from LAN1 to LAN2 and vice versa), turned off WIFI on mobile and waited a minute or two. When I powered the router back up and switched on mobile WIFI again, everything was restored to the original working state and I have, once again, access to internet on both PC and mobile. It is very frustrating, however, to keep performing this ritual and I wonder if any of you more technically minded, know a way to work around this, perhaps by manually changing the configuration of PC or router?
I've got a Belkin F5D8236-4 wireless router. I've had no trouble connecting three laptops to it, but I've completely failed with my HTC smartphone and a friend has failed with a iPhone, I've also failed with an iPod. I've just got a Nexus 7, for my birthday, and that won't connect either! All devices find the network, they just don't connect!

I get limited connectivity wirelessly and wired, which basically might aswell just say no connection.
Taking the N router out of the equation, the g router can connect to the internet wired (it no longer seems to work wirelessly, and had a horrible range on it anyway). I use a PPPoE connection-all my ISP details are correct.how i can get the N Router to work wirelessly and wired.

1. Linksys WAG160N Main router
2. Belkin F5D9630-4 v6
My first question.. is it possible to connect wirelessly from the Linksys to the Belkin, then run an ethernet cable from the Belkin to the PC? If this is possible, then can I use the Belkin to also extend my wireless range? The alternative is to build a Powerline network but I wouldn't get the wireless extension without forking out for more kit.
Have a Belkin F6D4230-4 Version 3, both times we have stayed here we have noticed the same issue, we can connect to the router, but after a while it throws everything offline, and then you will see the orange light on the front of the router flashing. I usually have to reboot the router to get it to come back online. I did check the firmware version and it is the latest version 3.0 something, but it did say it was the latest?

I am having a bit of trouble. I have a Belkin router (this is irrelevant) across the house, which is extended by the Belkin wireless bridge/repeater in my bedroom. The device in my room boosts my WiFi signal for my MacBook and iPhone, and the LAN (ethernet) port on the back allows my Debian server to connect to the network and internet. I have a Linksys switch that I wish to use, for I have another computer that requires an ethernet connection. Here is what happened:Debian 1 is connected via ethernet, no problem.I shut it down, unplug cable. Run cable from bridge to switch's uplink.Plug another ethernet cable into port one on switch, run it to Debian 1.
