Windows - DSL-2640R ADSL / Wireless Router Setup

We have a router operating in front of one computer which is separate from the rest of the network. Most of the time it operates fine but we find sometimes it loses connectivity, both internet connectivity from the machine and access to the machine remotely. This is not acceptable as the machine is operating rather critical processes and ideally it should be available 100% of the time.
I cannot determine if the fault lies with Windows, the router or the network.

At home I have a D Link DSL-2640R wireless adsl router/modem in my downstairs office.I would like to use the cable which goes to upstairs of the house to link to some sort of extra router or switch in order to provide more network ports upstairs.

I have a bit of an issue setting up an Cisco 837/SOHO ADSL Router.
Basically what it is is that my Broadband router isnt doing its job very well, and the last piece of the puzzle in the server area is to upgrade the router, and I have with this. Now. I hve followed the setups as per cisco's guidlines very well and doen alot of research on the CLI commands, I have access to the router and have setup the system.
My broadband in the office is Orange/EE and its PPPoA. I hvae all the settings, and such and have followed a set of commands that apply to BT broadband but, It simply hasnt worked in my case. Any CLI commands to setup this router so i'll replace my business livebox.

Currently, I have 2 Apple Airport Extremes, and 1 Wireless Netgear ADSL Router. The 2 AAEs are connected separately to the router, and this allows us to get coverage in most part of the house (it's a large house with concrete and granite walls). I also have a HP Officejet 8500 'wireless printer' that is wired to the router as you can only print to the printer when it's in standby with a physical connection to the router (that's a different story). So my goal is to replace everything as the router is slowly dying and as a result of this, I want to be able to access the Internet wirelessly throughout the house, and be able to print from any where in the house without anything connected via cables. And as a bonus, I would like the Internet to be accessible 100 yards/metres down the garden (workshop is there). Basically, blanket coverage!

I'm unable to access the web setup screen from 4 different windows machines running IE 9 or Firefox (various combinations of wireless, wired, etc.). When I get to the certificate error and hit the "yes, i understand, continue", it comes back with a 'can't be reached' page and looking into the details says the 'connection was dropped'. However If I connect from a MacBook / safari, I'm able to reach the page fine (and admin the router).
Using a wrt610n.I am connected to the router, the ip address hasn't changed, the password hasn't changed.I can use the router & connect to the internet.I have the router set to require HTTPS, but switching it to allow HTTP doesn't work. Both Wired & Wireless Win 7 / IE9 machines can't connect.Tried setting the router ip address to 'trusted' zone in IE. Tried setting the router ip address to the 'compatibility' mode in IE. Tried using latest version of Firefox with the same results.

Im new to Cisco equipment and weve just upgraded to a all singing 8000 series (887VA) to be precise.
i'm having difficultys in setting the router to connect to our BT ADSL2 business broadband, we have a static IP but on normal cheaper routers you just input a Chap username and password. and the router sorts the rest.
i've followed the tech support from cisco website inputted the configure commands to create the ATM0 and a Dialer0 but still having no joy.when you log into the gui it only shows you a enable PPPoE tick box. no signs of PPPoA?

I have installed win98 in a PC since my father wanted to use some old programs he likes. the PC has D-link wireless network PCI card. unlike win xp I heard that the wireless internet won't be set by just installing the wireless card driver on the system, but there are far more things to do in win98 to set your internet.

I have an HP G60-530US laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I bought a Linksys AE1200 USB Wireless Network Adapter because the laptop stopped recognizing the internal wireless adapter. However, when I use the CD that came with the Linksys adapter to install it, the adapter is not detected. I have tried different USB ports and also power-cycling the router & cable modem & rebooting. Nothing seems to work. I also ran the Setup program on my Gateway DX4860 desktop but the Linksys AE1200 is not detected on the desktop, either.

I'm getting to the last barrier to my Router USB printer working..The UPS is seeing my printer now but the last hurdle is the Printer Setup program. It is not comatible with Windows 8 apparently. The one I downloaded of the support site doesn't run either. Any news off one coming out for Win 8?

My desktop however, does not have built-in wireless and therefore would have to connect to the ADSL router (Netgear) through ethernet but this cannot be done as the router must remain in my bedroom, much too far away for cables to reach.I bought a USB wireless connecter for the desktop but it doesn't seem to work. It connects but gives "Local Only" as the connection.

I have a BT broadband connection with one of their BT Home Hub 2 routers. Within the house the wireless signal is fine, however I have an outside office in the garden which is just beyond the normal range of the wireless signal. I tested this by connecting using my DELL XPS Win7 laptop and walking from the house to the office and it lost the signal about 10 feet short!
Is there any way to extend the range of the wireless signal? I cannot use homeplugs as the office is on a different fuse box from the house.
The BT Home Hub 2 is an ADSL router using n technology.
I do have a spare Netgear N150 ADSL2+ wireless router, is there any way of using it to boost the range of the signal?

I have an ADSL router like the one showed below & internet from the provider via a RJ45 cable.
I need to share the incoming internet from the RJ45 cable to the remaining three RJ45s & over the wireless. How to configure the router to get this working?
Also the internet provider needs me to authenticate via their default webpage before I can access the internet & I can say it doesn't have any MAC binding.

A friend of mine has given me a D-link DIR-615 Wireless Router. I only have a copper 10 meg ADSL service. The Router Internet socket is an RJ45, the ADSL Filters are RJ11. Is it possible to get this router to work on an ADSL Filter ? Can you get ADSL Filters with both an RJ45 and BT Phone connection on them, or a converter lead which converts RJ45 to RJ11 to work on the current ADSL filter?

I've a Shiro DSL805E Modem and to connect to multiple computers, I connected an Encore 5 Port Switch. Now I got laptop and thought of getting a wireless network, so I bought TP-Link TL-MR3420 Wireless Router and connected it to the one of the wires from the Encore Switch. But I'm unable to access the internet through TP-Link Router but the internet works fine for the computers which are directly connected to switch. how to do ip settings for TP-Link Router. But when I connect router directly to modem by bypassing switch, it works fine but not via switch. I am trying to connect a wireless router (EDIMAX br-6228nc) with a ADSL router (NETGEAR). i assigned the LAN IP of the ADSL modem to 192.168.1.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and enable DHCP server.then i connected a LAN port from ADSL router to the WAN port of the wireless router. i assigned IP of the WAN port of wireless router to 192.168.1.10, subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and default gateway to 192.168.1.1 now on the LAN side of the wireless router i assigned IP 192.168.0.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 enabling DHCP server.on the client pc i selected the setting of automatically assign IP setting (which it got 192.168.0.100, default gateway 192.168.0.1) but my client pc is not able to access the internet.
