got the ac900db router set up and the the setup page to allow me to set security is no longer available and i am now unprotected with my wi-fi for a guest login.....website for belkin is a viscious loop that explains NOTHING at all and has no easy way to find how to fix anything!! how do i get to the DASHBOARD or even log back into my account i set up?

View 1 Replies View RelatedA N600 Router Model F9J1102v1 router first installed in July 2012 with WPA-PSK, MAC Address Filtering and "Self Healing" enabled would not allow a new PC to connect via an RJ45 port. Belkin support ask for the unit to be reset to factory settings which is done and the Security system re-enabled again. Valid MAC Addresses start to be added and midway a PC is discovered in the Network without its MAC address added. Closer scrutiny reveals that another unknown device has also found a way into the router and that the 'Block' option on the MAC list is also failing to work. Anyone think of what one should do with this security shambles other than turn the thing off quick?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new N600 dual band router (2.4 and 5.0 GHz). I set up security to use WPA/WPA2 PSK (AES) on both bands. The devices that can see the 5.0 band could connect without issue, however those devices that can only see the 2.4 band (older devices like the Nintendo Wii, my desktop computer with wireless, and iPhone 4's could not connect). In troubleshooting, I finally disabled security on the 2.4 band and everything connected without issue, but I cant figure out how to successfully enable security on both bands at the same time.

But those routers were different models.This particular one is quite something. I reset it and when I tried to connect back to the network it asked me for a security key! I have tried everything from admin, password, 12345, the old passwords it had.. nothing seems to work.It gives a 'limited connectivity' message and the diagnosis tool asks whether the security key is correct. And it only accepts five characters (alphanumeric)So obviously I cannot try the default IP in the browser to access its settings, I can't even connect to the router.Are there known routers that ask for a security key even after resetting?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi was connected to my rv042 via remote management / browser, and tried to add vpn clients. i generated a new certificate and then i clicked on export for clients. by doing this, the remote management disconnected and i cannot access the router anymore.
how can i get the new .pem file from remote? do i have to make somebody turn off and on the unit to get back remote access??
p.s.: after turning off an on i tried the same steps again: everytime i click on "export for admin" or "export for client", this kills the remote management and the unit must be hardreset. now: how do i get the newly created client certificate off that unit ?? otherwise i will have to drive 350 km just to grep that file ?!?!
I am having problem using the N300 dual-Ban Wi-Fi Range extender with my att 2wire 3800HGV-B router. Cannot use the extender to access the internet. The Att router works without it. Just want to use the extender to extend my att router signal but cannot.

Now only one of the hardwired ports works (#1) and it causes the router trouble enough sometimes to make it disconnect from the cable modem.
