I'm doing a few upgrades on my Asus UL80Jt and I've hit a wall with the wireless adapter... I think I've found the one I want [URL] which I believe will work but I can't for life of me find out where that little card goes! Will that card work on this laptop and where do I even put the thing?
I have recently purchased an ASUS PCE-N13 wireless adapter, and I cannot get it to work for the life of me! I have tried installing the driver from the disk, however, when I try and look it up under device manager, I go to the "Other Devices" section as instructed and it just says "Unknown Device" instead of what it is supposed to say according to the manual. I have tried installing the Ralink driver, however I don't know if that was done correctly or not. I have gone through my BIOS and enabled the PCI slots power, so it isn't that.
The wireless adapter keeps saying unidentified network, I can connect from other computers and they are all working fine.
Edit: Forgot to mention its a ASUS wireless n-15 adapter, also the system is a Windows 7 64 bit. Also, has a ip address 169.x.x.x which i know means no internet connection.
I would like to know if the D-Link DWA-525 Wireless N 150 Desktop Adapter [URL] is compatible with my ASUS P6X58D-E motherboard ?Its a PCI card, and even my mobo had the PCI 2.0 slot, but i happened to see the photo of the card and it seemed to have two gaps in its PCI connector,]
I have a friend who's wireless is not working (it connects but then there is no Internet acces). I understand I can fix this by getting a new wireless driver.
I recently bought an ASUS RT-AC66U Dual-Band Wireless-AC1750 Gigabit Router. It is working great. Now I would like to replace the wireless card in my Asus N61J laptop.
I have an Asus Model U56E. Recently the wireless has been disappearing whenever I turn off my laptop. What I mean is that when I turn on my laptop, the wireless doesnt seem to exist. I go under device manager and all I have is the eternet and my bluetooth device. About 85% of the time, when I go under "action" and click on "scan for hardware changes" the my Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N1030 will show up along with the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adaptor and I'll get my wireless back. However, when my laptop turns off, the same thing happens.
In addition, my fn F2 button no longer seems to work. I'll press on it and majority of the time my light that signals that the wireless is working does not turn on. Most of the time it stays off whether or not I am connected to the wireless
This is what I already attempted to fix it, based on googling for answers: 1. Under the properties of my wireless and miniport adapter, I went under power management and unchecked the box that says "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
2. I went to my laptop's power plan and changed all my wireless adapter settings "power saving mode" to maximum performance for both battery and cord
3. I went to the intel website, had it look at my laptop wireless system and followed their recommendation of installing an updated wireless software thing. All that happened was that it told me to disable my old wireless and then install it. However, even though I followed their instructions, it continued to repeat the same message. I had to perform a system restore to get my old wireless back
4. I disabled wireless console 3 (by Asus) under programs and it seemed to work. My laptop was getting connected whenever I turned it on. However, the next day my laptop updated itself (b/c of my system restore) and I am back to the same situation except my wireless console is still disabled.
I have a P5QL-E and i cant get this network adapter to work. I enabled it in BIOS, but nothing happens in win7, driver says i dont have any device isntalled.
I have been hacking at this problem for two days and can not figure it out.I built a new computer ASUS M3A78-T and installed windows 7 64bit everything was working fine. I did not validate the version of windows because I was waiting to replace the 500g hard drive with a 120 ssd. By the time I recieved the ssd windows validation time had expired, I tried to validate the version of windows and I could not because the network adapter was now gone! This is strange because when I first built it it as fine and I was all over the internet via broadband ethernet cable. Now the internet box has a red x and will not recognize the cable and no lights are flashing on the back as well. It seems I ned to reinstall the driver so I used another computer and downloaded the only LAN file from ASUS website and nothing.
i upgraded my laptop from window 7 home to windows 7 unlitmate and the wireless network adapter has been removed is there a link i can download to re install it so that i can connect wireless again?
attempted to upgrade their wireless adapter? I know I can go buy a $40 fat USB adapter, but I would like to get dual band abilities without a USB adapter. I hate that I got an upgraded Inspiron 15R that did not have a dual band wireless adapter.
I have an ASUS Z77 Motherboard and when I install the AI Suite II which comes on the installation disc it blocks my internet connection. When I uninstall the software my connection is fine. I am using an Ethernet connection by the way. I think it is being blocked by the component called Network iControl. As soon as that component is uninstalled my Internet connection comes back. I want to have the software, but I also want to have my connection.
I recently moved into a larger 2 story house, and for the first few months I was using a Linksys E1000 I've had for about 2 years now. It's a fine single band router, but the people upstairs and the xbox/PS3 in the living room didnt have the strongest connection.
I shopped around and finally got a ASUS RT-N66U for a really good, strong dual band router that would supposedly give better range and performance than my old E1000.
Unfortunately, since I got it everyone is having issues they never had before, namely:Signal dropping all around the house and having to search for the network much slower performance than before the xbox/PS3 cant hold a stable connection even for a few minutes now, when before you could watch Netflix HD programs easily
I've upgraded the Firmware to 3.0.0.3.178 since I heard earlier firmwares had issues, but other than that and opening my ports for qTorrent it is relatively stock settings.
I have two Windows 7 computers and neither one will successfully upgrade a 1242 AP to LWAP. However, I go to a coworker's XP machine and run the tool without issues. On Windows 7 I keep receiving the error message of ACL or Firewall is blocking. I have added rules and then even tried disabling the firewalls completely on both computers and still no success.
I have a new ASUS Eee PC notewbook, dual core.. Windows 7..I can connect to my wireless network but it wont let me load any webpages on Chrome and with IE I can sometimes get Google (homepage) but cant go anywhere. On my older laptop, I can surf no problem, I'm here, so I know my network works.. When I use the Windows trouble shooter it fixes my adapter, but the problem persists.
My Asus eee pc netbook won't load webpages. It is connected to the internet, but won't load pages. I know it isn't the internet connection because others are able to access it on their computers on the same network.I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling my network adapter. I've put the power save mode on my adapter to off. I uninstalled Norton. I've turned my firewall off. It won't load in Firefox or IE.If I repair my connection, it works for about 30 seconds, and then will stop loading.
I've been using the ASUS 802.11 n13 wireless key for approximately 2 years with no problems. However ever since about two days ago it decided to quit on me. [code] This web page is not available. The server at Google can't be found because of DNS look-up failed..When right click to repair network connection.Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed:Connecting to the wireless network. So far I've uninstalled the driver and reinstalled (heard that could be the issue on several other threads I've read) and tried rebooting the modem. All other devices in my house can still access wireless (smart phone, laptop)
one of my wireless computers (windows 7 pro) won't connect. I am baffled to the problem.
Router: Asus RT-N12 with latest stable firmware version
2 other laptops will connect with no problem. My phone will connect to it no problem. My 3 other laptops also connect to it with no issues as well. A wired computer will get Internet access to it no problem. This computer (a desktop with a pci wireless card) won't connect to it. The SSID will not show up on the computer unless I manually put in the SSID. Then, it tries to connect, fails, and the SSID goes away. It will connect to the wifi tether on my phone with no issues. My phone has the same security settings, encryption protocols, etc. as my router. It will connect to a neighbor's unprotected wifi without issue as well.
I'm installing all the drivers and such, and the wireless network card will not seem to work. I tried installing the packaged driver and it seemed to work, but it won't find my wireless network. So I went to the manufacturer's site and downloaded the latest, dated April this year, still nothing. The card shows up in Device Manager with no red X or question mark, and says is 'working properly' but in network connections I can't get it to recognize a network. It's inconvenient to get a ethernet cable run to my room, so I'm not sure what to do now. I tried manually entering the SSID and WEP to no avail?
I recently bought a Netgear switch in order to hook up to wired PCs to my modem. I also have a ASUS n53 wireless router that I am trying to connect to the switch. The problem is I can't seem to get internet access to the wireless router I have tried setting it up as an access point, I have tried disabling the DHCP on it.
trying to put my RT-n66U in wifi repeater mode or bridge mode as i have only one lan cable and no wifi adapter where i connect n66u dark knight and my pc . and connect the modem n10e and rt66u,setting up rt66u was pretty easy but i cant give my modem the repeaters mac as there's no WDS management interface in the modem, how would i do it, is there any other way to bridge between wireless routers?
I have an ASUS G71gx laptop with Windows Vista 64 bit. I noticed upon start up my wireless connection would not automatically connect. I hit diagnose and repair, and it stated that I did not have wireless connectivity turned on. I tried flipping the wireless switch on and off a few times to no avail. When I would turn it on and off, the blue LED light was OFF. Also, each time I switched it on and off, it said on the screen that the wireless LAN adapter was OFF (even if the switch was turned on). Then, I restarted the windows explorer bar a few times as well as flip the switch again. This time, the blue LED turned ON. However, the internet was still turned off. I hit diagnose and repair again and it said the same thing as previously stated. It gave me the option to repair it by turning on wireless compatibility/connectivity, so I hit that. After that it turned on and I could use it with no problem.
Where I can find an "ASUS Wireless PCI Driver" for WinXP?I've found many but ONLY for Vista, 7 or 8. The ones that I've found say that their for XP, but when I download them and try to install them on my XP system,it says that the OS (XP) is NOT supported! They all happen to be for Vista.
So I have an Asus laptop and every time I restart the computer, when the computer boots up, the wi-fi drops. This isn't just my laptop. My roommate just got an Asus as well, different series a lil cheaper but a lil newer. My laptops only about a year or so old, but his does the same as well. When we boot up the wireless drops and seems to restart because if we wait long enough about 2 mins or so the wireless will come back up. BUT when someone comes over with any other computer like a mac or something it doesn't do it. They just can connect no problem. I'm not sure if its Asus or the wireless router we are using which is a Linksys N. Also it will just randomly drop.
I'm using a Windows 7 ASUS laptop, with a Netgear RangeMax Wireless Router model WPN824v2. I can connect to the internet when I am connected directly to the router, but as soon as I take the ethernet cable out, my computer can't detect anything. On device manager, under the network adapter tab, there are two items.Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20) Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter. The wireless network adapter has a small yellow exclamation mark on its icon."Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)" [code]
I just bought a Asus PCE-N15 and installed the drivers and utilities but after I restarted the utility told me that I have taken it out of my computer but it was still in there. I have tried all of my PCI slots tried ASUS and Realtek drivers and utilities and uninstalling removing and reinstalling and even contacting costumer support. Costumer support didn't tell me anything but reinstall the drivers.
