I have a Belkin N600 HD.I'm on an Off-net ADSL2 Connection with TPG.It took 2 weeks to connect.I've connected and I'm still downloading at 1.5Mbps (150kb/s)I bought new Lie filters/splitter in case the same ones I have were faulty (C1024M) and connected them correct to both my home phone and my Modem.So I've connected to my net, I can download and do whatever but I'm going at my ADSL1 Speeds. My friend is on the same connection, same modem (he bought it cause of me) and he's hitting higher then me (500kb/s, 600kb/s) Although he's on a separate line so no filters required (I think).He lives about 5minutes away from me (car) and is about the same distance from the exchange as I am (2.5km give or take) [code]
Having an issue with my Belkin N600 router - when initially installed it was working fine but in the past week it has gtten slower - if I connect directly to my DSL modem my speed is 1.5 MBS when I use the router connection my speed drops to .1 MBS - tried resetting to factory defaults & that did not work also tried resetting my modem *& router still having the same issue.
I was having problems setting up dd-wrt so I wanted to flash back to the Belkin firmware and try again. I went to what I thought was the product page for the N600 and found the latest version of the firmware and flashed to it. The only thing it does now when I plug it in is 2 slow flashes of the green light and then nothing. I tried holding down the WPS button while plugging it in and I get the light to stay green but it doesn't respond to 192.168.2.1.\
I just installed a band new copy of xp on my system and I cannot connect to the internet! I'm connected via Ethernet to my Belkin n600 HD and whenever I go try to follow the steps via Microsoft [Go into Network Connections > Create a New Connection > Connect to the Internet > Set up my connection manually > Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password] It just brings up the old school dial up vpn style thing and never connects to the net. Secondly I tried to install the Belkin software but it just has errors trying to establish a connection with it. The Internet is working fine, I have 5 laptops connected to it.
I have a N600 router. Yesterday, for the first time, I was unable to connect to the internet from my TV. It keeps saying network connection failed. I have unplugged the router and modem several times and that does not work. When I check the various wireless systems available (on the TV screen) I see mine there but it will not connect. At one point I did see something that said ethernet cable disconnected, but I checked and the cable is connected.
Just installed N600 router. Works for my Windows 7 PC and my Android phone. Does not work with my Windows VISTA PC. It connects to the Router ok, but does not connect with the Internet. Also says UNIDENTIFIED NETWORK. What am I missing?
Just purchased a Belkin N600 DB N+ Wireless Router because the wireless on my Actiontec PK5000 really isn't so great. When I hook up the router to my modem and after running the install CD I couldn't get connected to the internet. So I looked at my modem and noticed the light where I had plugged in my router VIA ethernet wasn't lit up like the rest of my ethernet ports even after switching them around.
I just bought a new netgear n600 now it seems all my devises are slower. 2 Xbox 360s 2 laptops. 1 pc also on my dell d610 now when i try to watch any video the internet stops working. we use google chrome. I am pretty sure its the router. we use mediacom for internet and get at least 20 mbs. oh and the slowest xbox is run with a ethernet cable so its not a wifi issue with that one.
Installed new N600 router and every box in the house can access the internet - except for my Vista powered laptop. My network shows up as Unidentified network with 'locla only' access. Ben scouring message boards all day. Can't find a solution at Microsoft.
F9L1101 N600 DB Wireless Dual-Band USB Adapter : recognizing and connecting to wireless network but unable to use internet. Changed static IP adress, etc but no luck. Followed instructions on support email response:

Am currently unstalling and reinstalling. The network is WEP with a long alpha numeric key, which was accepted and network detected and connected. No internet. No internet. No internet.
My internet has randomly been slow lately. It used to work fine at about 6.0 Mbps from speedtest.net but suddenly i'm barely getting 2 Mbps. I don't know why this has happened. I've been getting very high ping spikes during gaming making me unable to play. I've done a virus scan using Avast, and have come up with nothing.
I bought a sony vaio I3 2.1 ghz 4mb ram laptop yesterday, and it has a very unstable wireless internet connection. The internet might be super slow at first, then drop entirely to where it says "you are not connected to the internet," then after not changing anything it will have a normal connection speed for a few minutes before repeating this cycle again. I have a macbook pro that I've had for two years connected to my wireless internet, and it has never had a problem. Even now it runs as usual on the wireless internet. I also have two ps3s that are working fine on the wireless, so I know it's not the router or signal.
I have 3 laptops, an ipod and an Xbox connected wirelessly to my router. I have no troubles with either of them but one laptop which runs really slow through wi-fi. I have been reading on people with similar examples and here are some stuff I noticed.
1. The laptop is new and I ran it as a virus check with no viruses
2. I did notice two wifi adapters as follows. Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter and Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2. They both show that they are working properly and I have checked for updates.
3. My router is a Netgear DGN1000 modem/router. It is also updated on firmware.
4. I have the right password etc.I do however have my xbox set up as DMZ and ports forwarded on the static IP for my xbox
I recently purchased a new laptop, the HP Envy 14 Beats Edition (i5 processor, 6GB ram) and the internet has been working great (Verizon Fios, MI424WR modem) until yesterday. My internet at that point went incredibly slow all of a sudden, on both firefox and internet explorer. I eventually managed to transfer over some antivirus/spyware/malware software, and found that I had the msiexec.exe trojan, among other trojans (or installers?) on the system. I've deleted what I could find. But, with such slow internet, I couldn't update any of the antivirus software, and eventually did a system restore to out-of-the-box conditions. Using a new internet connection (free wifi at a store), I easily downloaded AVG, Malwarebytes, and Spybot, all of which declared my computer clean. However, upon connecting again to my home internet connection, things ran really slow again.
I just set up a new computer with win 7 - 64. The cable broadband download speed is less than 1 meg/sec. My wife and daughters computers, which are wireless, see now slowdown. My computer is connected to the router thru the ethernet connection. The previous computer using win xp - 32, plugged into the same router had no unusual speed problems. I did turn off the windows 7 firewall. Did no good.Could there be some incompatibility between the router and win 7 - 64?? Are there some settings that need changing?
I'm using Dell Inspiron 1525. i just reformatted it because of some hard disc's problems. the first night after it is repaired, everything is okay. the internet is fast. but the next day, the internet is just running really slow, i dont even think i have loaded a complete page for the past 3 days, let alone downloading stuff.
well, i've tried most of the solutions i found online like turning off IPV6 and something else but the internet is still slow. and im using a ADSL modem, not a wireless one. the internet works just fine with other laptops. i called my technichian and asked. he said its the matter about laptop brands. every laptop has different.. i dont understand what he's talking about. so..
i used to have slow internet connection before reformatting but i thought its cause by my overloaded laptop memory, but now that it's reformatted i hardly have any software in it so what can i do?
I have a dell studio 1557 running windows 7. I live in my own apartment with roommates in college, and i've been having some very bad issues with slow internet or constant down time. Here are some key points:
- I have Charter internet.
- My 2 other roommates have NO ISSUES.
- My laptop works in my family's house. They have Comcast. I went on vacation a week ago and there were no issues on the hotel internet. No issues from the school's internet.
- I have been using my android phone as a tether because the internet is more stable. It's slow, but consistent for the most part. This is extra frustrating because I shouldnt have slow internet. And I sure as hell shouldnt be paying for internet I can't even enjoy.
- Charter has replaced 2 routers. Both are brand new. They are net gear. Charter is clueless to my problem.
- I have reinstalled windows. Dell told me to try safe mode. I noticed NO ISSUES WITH STANDARD BROWSING IN SAFE MODE. This leads me to believe it is a software issue.
- The connection is non-existent when coming out of hibernation or rebooting. In the morning, i have to boot up, make my coffee, and only then will it give me access to the internet. Otherwise, page timeouts. It can take up to 10 minutes for the internet to work.
- Youtube and general multitasking is very bad. Slower connection than ever, page timeouts, and I often need to wait for a video/music to buffer before I begin enjoying it.
My laptop has been this way for upwards of 6 months.
We have ASA 5540. We setup Site-to-Site VPN and Remote Access VPN (Cisco VPN client). If are running full tunnel on the Cisco VPN client, the internet access is slow. For example, when we are running full-tunnel, the internet speed is 16 Mbps based on Speedtest.net. When we go to Speedtest.net, some of the graphics do not load. If we are running Split-tunnel, the internet access speed is 78 Mbps based on Speedtest.net and the Speedtest.net web site loads all the graphics.
I have a Belkin N+ Wireless Router (F5D8235-4) and the loading times when I'm on the Internet is slow, it used to fast. I've tried using Firefox, Chrome, Opera but the loading is slow on every browser, I've also tried on different computers but still the same thing.[code]
Ever since I upgraded my PC to Windows 8 the internet has been SLOW... It works fine still on my tablets and PS3. Looking online they seem to say I need new drivers? Not sure what to do.
I recently purchased a new Belkin Play Max N600 HD, much different to my old Billion 5100. I'm only on an ADSL connection but will be upgrading to ADSL2 soon.
Anyway I have a Netgear WG602 v3 Wireless Access Point, and I was wondering am I able to put this somewhere else in the house and have it relay the internet connection to my devices (iPhone for example).
I'm in the User Interface of my Belkin Device but I have no clue how to actually set up this Netgear device to act as an AP. I've changed one thing on the Belkin device, not sure if it'll make any difference. I changed the Wireless Band from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz hoping that it'll strengthen the signal. I've attached a print screen of how the User Interface looks like in case any of the knowing would need some guide to where things are placed. =/
EDIT: Also whenever I'm downloading it's a bit slow. I don't have the fastest internet only 1.5Mbps (150kb/s) but now I'm downloading at about 50kb, and from my computer at about 70kb. =/ These are at separate times.
I just bought a Belkin N600 USB adapter for my desktop PC. However, after I installed it I only get a "limited connection". I'm a pc novice I've tried everything I can think of. My router is a Verizon Fios Actiontec.
N600 router will not comunicate with my desktop computer through a cisco switch. The LAN was working fine when I was using a Linksys router. Is this a compatability problem between Belkin and Linksys products?
I have a N600dp. My printer, Brother MFC-J410W, is plugged into the router USB port. The printer function works but the scanner function doesn't. I keep getting an error message that the printer is not connected.
Will the N600 Belkin router is DD-WRT compatible, because I saw in a database it is not. Is there also a way to make it DD-WRT compatible, e.g. flashing it ? Do you have a download on the router support side.

also every other device I have can connect except one laptop, ipod, printer, xbox360 all connect just fine. and I have tried iprelease and renew.
My roommate and I have High speed cable internet and the modem is set up in his room. I bought a n600 belkin router and a usb wireless adapter so my computer in my room will get internet. Only problem is there is only one ethernet port on the modem that the internet provider gave us and of course that is taken up by his computer. How do I hook up the router to the modem and get all this to work so I can get on the internet as soon as possible?
I just updated my router to a Belkin n600 hd dual band n router. anyway i set it up one band for the "family" on 2.4 gig and my gamer on 5 gig. But the problem is none of my desktops and my latptop doesn't see the 5gig at all the only thing that picks it up is my ipad.
I just purchased the N600 DB Wireless Router with my ISP (Road Runner) I can connect wireless thru a laptop and a tablet, but when I try to connect wired(LAN) thru desktop (XP Pro SP3) I receive the Limited or No Connectivity. If I bypass the router and plug straight into the cable modem I can connect without issue. I have tried resetting the router, modem and computer to no avail.
