I have an iMac running 10.4.11. I would like be able to print through the router. I now have my PC laptops doing so. What voodoo do I have to do to make the iMac work with it?
View 3 RepliesI have a Canon i6700d, which I connect to the belkin N600 USB port to share on the network. Driver for the printer is installed. From the belkin router monitor, the printer is listed under "Networked USB devices". However, the printer is grayed out and can not be selected. the dialog complains that the printer is not available.

I have just changed the structure of my network for reasons of additional services being added. I now have in the front room the ADSL modem connected to a switch and 2 PC's. The switch is also pbugged into an ethernet plug in the wall which feeds to the other end of the house where the Belkin router is. I have all devices working on the internet correctly. The issue is getting access between the two networks and the devices on the two networks. I have added the ip addresses of the PC's to the router's LAN/Static Route, but that didn't work. The network in front room (after ADSL Modem is 192.168.1.x and after Belkin router it is 192.168.2.x. Is there a way I can allow access between the two networks between devices?
View 2 Replies View RelatedN750 DB USB printer not connecting. I'm currently running a Canon MP480 multi-purpose printer connected through USB to the N750 DB router. I have both the printer driver and Belkin USB Print and Storage Manager software installed on a desktop PC that connects wirelessly to the router. The Belkin print manager software "sees" the printer, but when I try to connect it says please install printer drivers. I've installed and re-installed these drivers a few times, with no effects.

The printer sees the belkin wireless router network name but cannot connect to it( after entering the correct security key). It worked fine with a previous wireless router. My desktop PC is connected to the belkin router via direct ethernet, and I want to be able to access my wireless printer which is located in another room from my PC. I think I remember reading that the canon mg5220 may not support WPA2 security, but Its only a year old and would prefer not to regonfigure my router's security setting. how I can get this printer to connect to my router? Any other ways to access this printer from my PC which is connected to LAN via ethernet?

The problem I have is in configuring the old router. It won't allow me to change any settings, or at least the changes don't stick, even after clicking "apply changes". I tried creating an administrative password but I am not even sure that this is working. I am using a Macbook, so perhaps this is an Apple compatibility issue. Downstairs I have an older Dell PC that I use for my business. I have an Ethernet run from upstairs to downstairs. The Ethernet jack upstairs is near a cable outlet because we used to have cable internet. Now we have DSL and the phone jack is on the other side of the room. Here's my question... I have a Belkin N600 wireless router, is there any way I can plug it into the Ethernet port on the other side of the room, and use it like a wireless adapter? I have tried a few time to set it up as an "access point" but it doesn't seem to work. Is it possible to upgrade my router to the v3 firmware? I'm guessing that I can't because its a v1 router, but just thought I'd ask just in case I can. Don't want to brick the thing.

Under the Belkin desktop I can clearly see 2 SSID's. One shows 2.4 GHz SSID & network name and the other 5GHz SSID & network name. media. I have unplugged the router and modem several times and that does not work. When I check the various wireless systems available (on the TV screen) I see mine there but it will not connect. At one point I did see something that said ethernet cable disconnected, but I checked and the cable is connected.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA N600 Router Model F9J1102v1 router first installed in July 2012 with WPA-PSK, MAC Address Filtering and "Self Healing" enabled would not allow a new PC to connect via an RJ45 port. Belkin support ask for the unit to be reset to factory settings which is done and the Security system re-enabled again. Valid MAC Addresses start to be added and midway a PC is discovered in the Network without its MAC address added. Closer scrutiny reveals that another unknown device has also found a way into the router and that the 'Block' option on the MAC list is also failing to work. Anyone think of what one should do with this security shambles other than turn the thing off quick?

I unplugged the router to reset it and whenever it starts up it flashes green and the green light goes solid for less then a minute before turning red. It's a solid red light. I've tried unplugging everything and restarting it and nothing. Ironically it still lets me connect to the internet but when I access the control panel on my computer it shows as disconnected. Is this means my router is busted. This is my second Belkin Router and the only reason I had to replace the last one is because it was a G+Mimi router and I upgraded to an N Router.
