View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased the latest 2012 27" iMac and I would like to know if the Belkin AV360 (F2CD007) works with this iMac as it has thunderbolt ports and not the previous mini display ports that older iMacs have? I have searched online and asked Apple directly but they referred me to Belkin. I have emailed Belkin and the reply was not useful.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA N600 Router Model F9J1102v1 router first installed in July 2012 with WPA-PSK, MAC Address Filtering and "Self Healing" enabled would not allow a new PC to connect via an RJ45 port. Belkin support ask for the unit to be reset to factory settings which is done and the Security system re-enabled again. Valid MAC Addresses start to be added and midway a PC is discovered in the Network without its MAC address added. Closer scrutiny reveals that another unknown device has also found a way into the router and that the 'Block' option on the MAC list is also failing to work. Anyone think of what one should do with this security shambles other than turn the thing off quick?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNetwork hub, model f5l009 not registering as a connected network USB Hub. Therefore, unable to update firmware. Devices connected to HUB are of course also not showing up. Reinstalled drivers. PC Windows 7 home pro on Comcast and a Cisco router. Firewalls are set to "allow". Only change in system is from internet providers to "Comcast". What might be causing the problem? Tried connecting directly to the Comcast router and that didn't work. Tried a hard reset on the HUB and that didn't work. If this device has failed is there a way to replace it?

Created the Wireless Network (As far as I'm aware) with a WPA-Personal. I think in might be that I need to connect via Static IP. I have it set for Dynamic IP.I can use internet via Ethernet but as soon as I try to pick the nework I created. It tells me Connection was Timed out!
View 8 Replies View RelatedIf your wireless indicator is flashing red when you discover the smurf, it can mean that someone has tried to logon with an incorrect password. this is not necessarily an attack, it could be someone you have allowed access too, who has forgotten the password? In this case entering the correct password will solve the problem. However putting your own MAC address into the filter will simply block your own machine.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to upload some files to my school server will Filezilla. It worked the very first time I attempted to do this. A box popped up and read something like, " The key is unknown, this may not be the computer you think it is", there was a check box asking to approve this server and save the key. I ticked this box and everything was fine, it was connected. I disconnected from the server and went back an hour later to upload something and got this message when attempting to connect, "server has unexpectedly closed network connection", then, "unable to connect". I get it every single time I try to do this from home. However, I have been able to connect everywhere else but my house. I can connect with the same computer from my friends wireless at his house, and from the wireless at work, all from the same computer that will not connect at home. I have also tried different operating system, Ubuntu, and nothing same error message. I have reinstalled the program, and tried other programs,,nothing. I have also deleted that key in the registry, from the check box earlier. At home it does not have that pop up saying " the key is unknown" anymore, even after deleting the key. Yet it does from all the other locations. I do not check it from anywhere else from fear that this will happen everywhere and then I can use it at all. The only difference I can see in these situations is my router, as my friend uses the same ISP, and the same computer was used from each location.

Our computers stay connected but the router keeps telling us that it's trying to connect to the internet again. The apartment wired connection is just fine. Right now I'm writing this and the stupid router is blinking at me... Our apartment complex provides internet so I don't have access to the modem, or even know if it's dsl or cable. I've checked the firmware and it's up to date. All the settings are factory pre sets.

I've been using a Belkin 54g Universal Repeater for around a year and a half to extend my wireless connection around the house but recently it's stopped working completely. I've tried everything... Diagnostics say it's fine but then other times it says no IP address. Other routers work fine though. And the other computers I'm the building all have perfect connection... I have a Win 7 machine with Win SBS 2011 in my office and an iMac. The Win machine is being setup for Exchange 2010. My problem is this: I can't Remote Desktop in from my iMac into the Win machine, but CAN when outside the network. The Win7 machine has a static IP, the iMac a dynamic. When I access the internal part of my router I can only see my iMac. I get a "can't connect to win-based machine" error when I try to Remote Connect. The only thing I can think is that using the same gateway is somehow messing things up? I've had two techs try to figure this out and they're both stumped.I was maybe thinking that since both comps are going out the same gateway that I should try anc configure the iMac to try and RDC on a different port, since maybe the iMac is listening on 3389 and sending the RDC back to itself?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe setup: My main router is a Belkin N. It is the DHCP controller. I have another Belkin N router connected by CAT5/RJ45, and DHCP is turned off. Each router has a different SSID, and WPA2//AES/TKIP is the security. The purpose of the second router is to act as an access point and extend the wireless range. Now I need to extend it further, but without through wireless. I had a G bridge connected to the second Belkin, and it in turn connected to a third router which was G. This worked but was sporadic. I bought an Amped SR150 N repeater to replace the bridge and third router. The repeater will connect to the second router with no problem. It shows the IP of the main router as the gateway IP. The laptop that the repeater is connected to then received an IP from the main router. However, the laptop has no internet. It also will not go to the IP of the main router.I tested the repeater by connecting it to the main router. That works fine, and the laptop gets internet. I tested the second router capability by connecting the laptop to it through wireless. That works fine to, and the laptop can go to the home page of both the main and second router. When I put the repeater back into the mix, the laptop does the same tihng: It gets a new IP from the main router, but no internet, and it will not go to the homepage of the main router.
