View 2 Replies View RelatedNetwork hub, model f5l009 not registering as a connected network USB Hub. Therefore, unable to update firmware. Devices connected to HUB are of course also not showing up. Reinstalled drivers. PC Windows 7 home pro on Comcast and a Cisco router. Firewalls are set to "allow". Only change in system is from internet providers to "Comcast". What might be causing the problem? Tried connecting directly to the Comcast router and that didn't work. Tried a hard reset on the HUB and that didn't work. If this device has failed is there a way to replace it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin F5D7050 USB Wireless G network card and it won't connect to windows xp. It tried using on Linux (ubuntu 10.04 live cd) and it works perfectly. But when I boot into windows, it doesn't. I have installed all the drivers and software I could find for it. But the programs for it don't open at all and for some reason i cant even configure it using windows "Connect to". (You know how usually you get the little wireless icon at the bottom of the screen and stuff)
View 7 Replies View Relatedwhile my younger brother borrowed my USB adapter to fix somerhing on his computer (he normally doesn't have net), I was using a flash drive. I had left the drive in, and my (very heavy) DVD drive was dropped on it, breaking both the front USB 2.0 ports and the flash drive. So I had to put the adapter in the back ports. The first few hours were fine, then net cut out. I repaired the connection, only to have to keep repairing every 30 seconds to 10 minutes. Then it stopped working altogether. I've attempted re-installing drivers, but when I do, my computer tells me that the driver I'm installing from my hard drive "Has no information on my hardware", but it's the correct driver and version for my hardware.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUpstairs I have a Century Link modem/wireless router. My wife and I use our laptops, smart phones, and XBox 360 on the wireless network. Downstairs I have an older Dell PC that I use for my business. I have an Ethernet run from upstairs to downstairs. The Ethernet jack upstairs is near a cable outlet because we used to have cable internet. Now we have DSL and the phone jack is on the other side of the room. Here's my question... I have a Belkin N600 wireless router, is there any way I can plug it into the Ethernet port on the other side of the room, and use it like a wireless adapter? I have tried a few time to set it up as an "access point" but it doesn't seem to work. As soon as I do, I can no longer access the Belkin router to make any changes and I need to do a manual reset. can I plug my downstairs PC into the Belkin N600, and have wi-fi internet access from the wireless modem/router upstairs?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy USB Belkin Wireless G Network Adapter seems to disconnect whenever I remove another USB device (usually a memory stick) from the PC.The problem started when I accidentally updated the driver via Windows. It didn't seem to work at all with this updated driver and I couldn't roll back or do a system restore to fix it. I'd done this before and ended up doing a complete re-install of Win 7. This time I did an upgrade install and the driver problem was cured.I'm running a HP XW8400 with Win 7 64 Pro which has been faultless for the 5 years I've had it.The only other change I've made recently is that I've stopped using a D-Link USB hub and started using the USB connectors on the HP LP2465 monitor. This only affects the wireless and no other USB devices.
When it disconnects, Win troubleshooting goes through the motions and reverts to LAN and doesn't see the wireless USB at all. This also happens if I don't use the troubleshooter.Device manager shows the driver to be working, but the wireless USB doesn't function even if I connect it directly to a USB port. The router is still working as all other devices in the house are connected. The only way around it seems to be a re-boot, but when this fault happens the PC gets stuck at "Shutting Down". Without the fault, re-boot or shut down works fine. When it happens I have to power off and on. This usually works fine but every now and then I notice the device driver for the Belkin is disabled.I've found a workaround in that I can take out the Belkin USB before removing another USB device. After the USB stick or whatever is removed if I then reconnect the wireless USB it reconnects fine.
A N600 Router Model F9J1102v1 router first installed in July 2012 with WPA-PSK, MAC Address Filtering and "Self Healing" enabled would not allow a new PC to connect via an RJ45 port. Belkin support ask for the unit to be reset to factory settings which is done and the Security system re-enabled again. Valid MAC Addresses start to be added and midway a PC is discovered in the Network without its MAC address added. Closer scrutiny reveals that another unknown device has also found a way into the router and that the 'Block' option on the MAC list is also failing to work. Anyone think of what one should do with this security shambles other than turn the thing off quick?
View 7 Replies View Relatedearlier i got a BSOD and researched this and it turned out to be due to my wireless network adapter. View 3 Replies View RelatedI reformatted my father's laptop, upgrading the OS from Vista to Windows 7 but now the wireless network adapter isn't working. Basically, the laptop doesn't know that it has wireless. In device manager there is an exclamation mark against the "Atheros AR5007UG Wireless Network Adapter" entry. I've tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it, restarting the computer, updating the driver etc but it always fails to install the driver correctly. I don't know for sure the model of the network adapter, (windows tells me it's atheros but I'm not convinced seeing as the driver always fails to install) so I can't go to the manufacturer's website to download the latest drivers. I opened up the laptop but couldn't see any brand names on the network card. I don't have the cd's with the drivers on them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy laptop won't connect to the internet at all and status shows limited access to router. It was fine a few days ago until a Windows update. I did a system restore on it back to before the windows update and the internet was working just fine but then there was an automatic windows update again and the connection is gone again. When I try to troubleshoot it says the network adapter is not working properly. I'm currently using the main computer in the house. I can't access any network at all on my laptop and I'm nearly in tears. This has happened before about 7 months ago after a windows update. At that time I did a system restore and reinstalled the updates and it worked just fine. This time nothing. I have tried to check for updated drivers for the network adapters but windows says I'm running the recent ones.

I have an Asus M50Vm laptop
Specs are as follows:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
2.26 P8400 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB DDR2 400 MHz RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS Graphics
And of course, the Atheros AR928X Wireless Network Adaptor. It seems that no matter what I do wireless capability cannot be enabled. I tried turning the wireless capability button on and off but to no avail. Then I pressed FN+F2 and it didn't fix it. In both those situations a box which displays the status of the wireless LAN connection comes up, however, it reads "OFF" regardless of me performing the above two "fixes." According to my computer the card is enabled and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device driver but nothing changed.
I cannot stay connected to the internet with my Asus. When I troubleshoot, it says the wifi was not on, turns it on, but I lose connection again and then can't get it back. Brand new. No hardware button.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with connecting wirelessly with my laptop (Inspiron 1525). Suddenly it's only able to connect to the local network, but I have no internet access. When I've tried to diagnose the problem, it's given me the option to reset the network adapter, but that hasn't solved the problem. The person who started this thread seems to have similar issues - [URL], however, unlike him my drivers aren't missing. I tried downloading the Dell driver which applies to my WLAN card and reinstalling it anyway, but that didn't work. When I go to device manager, the device status claims that the device is working properly. I also did a system restore but the situation remains unchanged...I still can't connect to my wireless!
My computer is running Vista and prior to this happening I hadn't reinstalled or tried to change any settings, it just seems to have happened spontaneously.
I have purchased a couple network usb adapters (Netgear N-300 and Linksys AE2500) and both work fine surfing the internet but when I try to play World of Warcraft the wifi loses connection to the router and I lose all internet capabilities on my computer. My friends computer is still able to use the internet though.

View 14 Replies View RelatedThe other day I went to a friends house, came back home, booted up my PC, and my wireless network adapter wasn't working. I've tried everything to fix it.It's a D-Link DWA-525 802.11n Wireless PCI netowrk adapter. On device manager it just says 802.11 Wireless LAN Card with a yellow exclamation next to it. And when I check what the error is, it's either error 31 or 52 at different times, depending what I've tried to do to fix it.I tried downloading the driver for it off the D-Link website, nothing happens at all when I install it. I tried taking it out of my computer and plugging it in. I tried enabling it and disabling it on device manager.I noticed one thing, when it's in my computer the green light at the back that says activity next to it isn't on.
