I can't access the internet through my home pc. I can't setup a new connection because I'm missing the network icon. It was fine a few days ago but somehow somewhere I've lost the icon. I have tried to restore but couldn't bo back that far.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using Fedora 15, in GNOME Shell, my mobile broadband connection was working absolutely fine, until I set the connection type to Connect Automatically using nm-connection-manager. Now, when I start the Fedora, the Top panel network icon shows red exclamation symbol and when I click it, instead of showing me available networks' list, it shows only "Network Settings", and when I open it, it shows GNOME 3's new Network Manager app, and it pops out the dialog saying that, "Current network settings service is incompatible with this version". And after a few seconds of log in, the shell freezes and all I can do is log out using Ctrl+Alt+BackSpace.
I'm facing this problem since I opened old network manager app using nm-connection-manager in the run dialog, and editing my connection to connect automatically.
After logging in to the shell I somehow managed to delete that connection from the same app and created a new one, but the problem still exists. How can I delete all network preferences (by deleting its configuration files from my home directory or something like that) and reset the GNOME 3's network manager to its default state?
Half of the time i have to stay at hotel due to business trip. The hotel i stay will provide free internet broadband with cable but no WIFI. Can i set up WIFI if i have router?

I've tried releasing and renewing via IPconfig. Renewing gives me the following error message: An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.
I've got limited connectivity. It's trying to send but cannot receive.
My laptop used to connect wireless very well. About 10 days, it lost the connection even though the wireless signals were excellent. I guess it might be due to a virus attack that disabled my wireless connection. I run System Restore on Networking but not successful.

But my wireless connected BT internet radio and my wife's Kindle can no longer connect to the internet. The radio says connecting to network but does nothing. I have changed nothing I am aware of. I have looked at the BT Home Hub Wireless set up page and the settings are Using WPA and WPA2 and the correct wireless encryption key is there. Channel selection is automatic. View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to enable client to router VPN connections. I have a question how to make any sucessful VPN connection to RV220W. From all the tests I made only SSL VPN on Windows XP x86 client machine was working.
For IPSec VPN I always receive this message: [rv220w][IKE] ERROR: Could not find configuration for XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX[500]. I tried with windows and shrewsoft vpn client.
Can't make SSL VPN to work in Windows 7 x64 client because the drivers are not digitally signed. It only works in Windows XP x86 but this is not acceptable. I need universal solution for win clients.
I also need working solution for Android Phone? Router firmware 1.0.3.5. I also tried this step by step guide. No go.
