How do I go about changing the mac address on a Westell A90-750015 (Verizon Wireless Router), I have checked all the web-interface menus and don't see anywhere to change it. I need to clone my Main computer's Mac address to this Westell's Mac address in order to connect other LAN computer to the Internet. I'm using Comcast cablemodem to connect directly to main computer, but as it is right now if I try to connect the comcastmoded to the Westell router and from westell router to computer, then Internet does not work.
I found my old Westell modem/router that was through Verizon DSL, but I don't have Verizon anymore, and I have Service Electric. I had asked my questions over at DSLReports, and they said Westell could be used as a Ethernet router, but they still doesn't fully answer my questions. The Westell modem/router model is A90-750015-07. I only have a modem through Service Electric. My questions are could this Westell modem/router be used as a separate wireless only router? Like, the D-link, and Linksys sells wireless routers, right? People could connect to it, or people could enable WPA for more secured? Could this modem/router act as wireless without the need of a DSL link through Verizon? I know on some wireless routers others are able to connect the modem to router using a WAN port, and then router to PC using a LAN port. However, I did not see any ports on this Westell for LAN and WAN. I'll show what I see from left to right.
I have all the PS3 and Activision ports. What numbers go where in the router's port forwarding screen. My ISP says that the PortStart and Base Host Port should be the same numbers and the PortEnd should be the number at the end of the range (10070-10080 for ps3). I'm going with that for the PS3 TCP numbers, but don't know which numbers to put in for the PS3 UDP or the Activision TCP and UDP.
I am having some problem with fowarding some ports. Everytime I try to open a port, specifically 27015 it wont open. I go onto canyouseeme.com and it says there is no route to host. I have a Westell A90-750015-07. All of my firewalls are also turned off.
I'm wondering is there a way that i could actually change the IP address of a computer based on its MAC Address that is connected to a network via switch only ? By running some bat file ? I only manage to change a target computer ip,dns, subnet via running the bat file on the physical computer but not through a network with switch.
My IP address was stolen. Someone sent me a file that I was expecting. It had a very misconcieving title. I opened it and it wouldn't work, but I let it slide. A week or two later I found pictures of myself on a forum from a hacker. The file I had opened had been a virus that hacked into my webcam. This creep told me that this had spread to 1000+ people and they all had my IP address. I am so scared! If everyone has my IP address anything could happen. How do I change my IP address without it messing up other settings in my computer and how do I remove this virus from my computer?
I have a TP-Link device TL-WR340G Wifi Device. I connect a PC through one of the LAN ports.Mow my WiFi router's MAC address has not been registered at my ISP system. I need to find a way to 'change' my Routers MAC address to another MAC address. The cloning doesn't work. I need to change my Router's LAN MAC address.
I'd like to register another account in a forum to comment anonymously so I need a different IP address for browsing.I remember that I had been trying this long time before but it was not easy to make it. Using proxy website is useless because the speed is very very slow. Is there any way to painlessly, easily change IP to browse websites?
I have bought a new belkin router since my old ITI router had some problems and it died. My ISP used to check my old router's mac address to authorize me to use the internet but since i have changed my router i cant access the net from home anymoreBefore i used to change the mac address of my laptop to be same as that of router to be able to access the net. How to change my new belkin router's mac address to the old ITI router's mac which i have saved in my laptop.
I have been having considerably slow internet compared to the other guys I live with and decided to investigate. I have run the speedtest.net on a good chunk of their computer and they all get around 40 mb/s while I am getting 2 mb/s. I have figured out that when I go in and change my MAC Address, I am able to get the same speed that they do for a short amount of time, but after a while(I haven't figured out a time interval) my speeds go back to the 2 mb/s. I can then go back in and change the address again and the same thing happens. I thought I might have a virus, but the different scan that I have tried running show nothing and when I do netstat from the command prompt, nothing abnormal shows up.
I need to connect to my work PC remotely through VPN, but the address of my home router (Verizon Fios) conflicts with my work address. IT guy at work is clueless, so I am stuck - been trying with him for months and this is his solution. I need to change my address on my personal router, Westell brand, but I am having no luck. I have been told to use:
ID: admin
password: password
When I tried that, each time I press a key in the password field, it enter 4 characters... I have never seen anything like that. Honestly, I'm a graphic designer and am also clueless on networking issues.
The laptop can connect to the internet using the wifi card. However, it cannot connect to the internet when using the wired connection but it can be pinged from other machines at work. The NIC does not pick up a different IP address even after releasing and renewing the IP address through cmd. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the NIC. The NIC is working because when I set a static IP address the machine can connect to the net. Using DHCP it goes back to that same IP address. I have tried a winsock repair as well with no go, as well as taking the machine off the domain and re-joining it. Is there something I can do on my end to get a different IP address through DHCP or do I have to get a Network engineer involved? This is a machine on a corporate LAN?
So I want to watch some videos on justin.tv, but for some reason I have been IP blocked. I actually went on their support forums and the guy basically said "I picked up a bad IP address", so I didn't do anything wrong, I just got unlucky.
I play a game via gameranger, and i want to change my ip address. the replays for this game retain the ip of each player, so that is how it is traced. I have used various ip changers, however they only work properly when i am the host of the game. How to keep my ip protected 100% of the time, rather then only when i am hosting?
I wanna change ip address 192.168.1.1 on Vista, but I couldn't find the Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) Properties according to the instructions, to the Local Area Connection Properties and nothing.I don't know whether it's because of the vista. What should I do to change ip address 192.168.1.1?
How come my IP address does not change when i'm using my router.... (TP-link WR340G)But when i connect my DSL directly to my computer it my IP can be changed..... and when i put back my router my IP address is the same.
My galaxy tab has a difficult time connecting to my wifi. it seems that the only time my galaxy will connect is when i change the DHCP reserved IP address i setup for it. it wouldn't connect before i setup a reserved IP address. now my galaxy tries to connect over and over and won't until i change the reserved IP address by a few digits.the router is an older d-link wbr-2310. i know routers occasionally die, but this is the only problem i have with it.
