We have recently transitioned one of our Ecommerce products to a new data center, at which we now use a one-armed load balancing approach rather then the routed load balancing approach we used previously. This is casuing us some issues as we generally log the source IP address a user comes in on when he fills out an application. Now the logs only show the natted ip address recieved by the load balancer, which does us no good. Any way to log the source IP address when a new connection is created to a particular vip?
I've configured the ACE4710 to bring the logging to a syslog server! Here's the configuration
[...] logging enable logging fastpath
I saw to log with connection on the syslog server but It would be interesting to know the "source ip address" and my question is : It may be possible to configure for the logging a kind of "transparent pass through"?
I'm encountering what I think is an issue on logging system on FW ASA 5520 - Asa Version 8.4(2), ASDM version 6.4(5). When I disabled the logging inside a rule from ASDM, or from console with the "log disable" option inside ACL, If I check in ASDM logging real time window I continue to see all the entry related to disabled rules. This is a correct behaviour about ASA logging ? How I can "hide" the entry related to disabled rules (this is what I need for troubleshooting purposes) ?
there are always some Traps more or less processed by LMS showing up in Fault Monitor View.Especially some Pass-Through or Unidentified Traps can be annoying if you want to keep the view clean.I wonder how to disable such Traps to not beeing displayd on the DFM Fault Monitor View?
I'm having some issues with Web-Passthrough, I'm using two 4404-50 controllers. Clients get IP addresses well. I'm using the controllers internal DHCP Servers. Controllers can reach DNS public IP Addresses (from management and guest vlan), the issue is that only very few clients are able to get displayed the Web-Passthrough page, the rest of the clients never get the page.
The controllers also work as anchor controllers for two more foreign controllers.
i have trying for a few days to connect my HP G7000 notebook to the internet through my wireless but i have tried everything i can think without getting anywhere. I only got it a few days back for my daughter to do her homework ect, but can't get it to connect i see a post on here about updating drivers but i can't get it to connect to do this, then thought about downloading the driver update it may need to my laptop but i really dont want to download anything onto my laptop as its a different model with different drivers and dont want it to stop my laptop working.i get on the HP G7000 is cannot communicate with primary DNS server 188.8.131.52 then underneath that message it is saying Network diagnostics pinged the remote host but did not receive a response
When i web browse to the ASA i get the certificate warning page, when i click to continue to the website it loads the normal "this page cannot be displayed"..
I use to have the ASDM software on my computer to manage the device however its been uninstalled now.. can this be downloaded somewhere? i have already tried upgrading the asdm and asa files on the asa?
I have a Cisco ASA 5505 V10. I've upgraded it to use asa825-K8 & asdm-649.103. Before the upgrade I was able to get to the ASDM via https://192.168.1.1. However after the upgrade I just get a page cannot be displayed. I have rebooted the ASA.
I have a neighbor whose wireless network is not secured (open). When I try connecting to it, it appears connected like a normal wireless network -except without the bell sound that I get form my wireless card software when the connection is successful-. However, web pages cannot be displayed nor can I update any software, and it is as if there is no internet connection at all. Actually, I have used my neighbor's wireless internet for a long time before the occurrence of this problem, and I can connect to any other open wireless network without any problems. Do you think that my neighbor has changed something in the settings of his wireless network to prevent me from accessing it? What should I do in order to solve this problem from my laptop?
i'm having an issue with a computer on my home network (Windows XP Professional SP3, latest updates) where i can't access the Internet or even the router on my home network (which it is part of).if i look at the network connection (wired) under control panel it shows as connected, and it's set with a static IP address (always has been), so nothing looks out of the ordinary there, yet if i try opening Internet Explorer i just get the "page cannot be displayed" page, and i can't even ping my own router- request times out.I've tried connecting a wireless adapter that i use on my laptop every day.. it connects to the wireless network no problem, but still the same results with IE and pinging the router.
My computer connects to the internet but when i try to get it on it pops up webpage cant be displayed. Then when i diagnose the problem it says somethings wrong with my proxy server ive followed the instructions.
The problem i am experiencing is that on my home network i have been using for several years now one computer on my network suddenly cannot get online..however it can connect. They determined that all is working well and all settings are as they should be. I then contacted my ISP, Cox communications and was essentially told the same thing. This is after going through several tests with each, such as ping tests, turning the gateway off/on, reviewing settings such as TCP/IP, DNS, etc, etc. The findings were that i have IP addresses and everything else that should be there. Ive turned off the firewall, disabled antivirus, reset tcp/ip stack and winsock. I have been working on this for two days and after paying for it still do not have it fixed. The computer acts as it normally does, no other problems except that when i press the IE icon to open a browser window it tries to go to my homepage, google, but then reverts to the "page cannot be displayed screen". This computer is running XP SP2 and is a wired connection(although it was wireless when i first experienced the problem because i have a network adapter installed as well..but i disabled it and enabled my LAC and used the ethernet cable because this is one of the exercises cisco ahd me perform to see if i could connect wired/wirelessly.. better bandwidth anyway at 100mbps compared to the 56mbps with the wireless-g adapter). The othe computer is a laptop running windows 7.
Basically we have 5 users in one of our offices and the internet works completely fine. However we cannot access the company Intranet. We receive 'The page cannot be displayed'.I have no idea why because all other sites work okay!Note: The Intranet can be accesed from home and libraries as I have checked aswel as 2 offices we have, everything works fine. It's just the one office and everything else works fine.
I have a problem with my Linksys X3000 and Samsung TV. When I use X3000 as Media Server and connect TV from Lan, I see the list of MKV files, but when a want played TV displayed that file not supported!I knew, that TV support this format from USB, and installed the Twonky MediaServer 6.0.34 (as on Linksys X3000) on Virtually Machine under Windows XP and try, but again displayed file not supported. Then I change (Virtual_Machine_IP:9000/config) in Media Receivers "Generic Media Receiver" on "Samsung TV" and My can play mkv files without problem. Why I can not entered to Twonky Media Server config page (I see a "Service not available") and why I can not change "Media Receivers" on the X3000?
I have a custom webauth page installed that I am using with web passthrough authentication on my WLC2006 in order to put up a acceptable use policy page. The WLC uses HTTPS to display this which causes a security certificate warning to appear if I go with the WLC's own self-signed certificate. Is there a way I can get the WLC to use plain HTTP to display this page instead so I can eliminate the warning? I have already tried installing a trusted 3rd party certificate on the WLC, but I have this very strange problem where mucking with the WLC's web authentication certificate in any manner causes all network activity on the WLC to break except for CDP and ARP, essentially leaving the WLC dead. Three weeks of troubleshooting with Cisco TAC has yielded no progress on that front so now I am trying to bypass the need for a security certificate altogether since I really don't need to encrypt my acceptable use policy page.
My wireless is connected, but I get page cannot be displayed when I go to the internet. I have all the correct wireless settings, IP address, etc. I have tried to connect by ethernet and then internet works fine. I have done a million different troubleshooting steps. I have other computers using the same router and they all work fine. The laptop that is not connecting is an Inspiron 1501 and it is windows Vista. My internet suport it must be in my Laptop.
we have just purchased a few 3750x's that we intend to add to our 3750g stacks. We've purchased the 10gb uplink modules, C3kx-nm-10gt, but when they are installed they are not appearing in the switches web gui nor can you configure them correctly. If we upgrade a 3750x to 15.0.1 they seem to work fine. All of our current 3750g's are running 12.2(58)SE2 IPBASE so we don't really want to have to upgrade them all to 15.0.1
Are we missing something or do the 10gb modules only work properly with ios 15.0.1?
I have already seen many threads with the same problem but none of the solutions worked for me.I am unable to connect to my router (Beetel 450TC1) via wireless network. Even if I enter an incorrect security key, no authentication error is displayed. The wired connection works flawlessly and I can access router admin panel through wired connection. Things I have tried:
1) Called up the ISP customer care. They upgraded the router firmware, did a hard reset and did all settings remotely. This did not fix the problem and the executive reported that I have a faulty hardware. I think my hardware is fine because the same problem exists with other smartphone devices and I can connect to college WiFi easily.
2) Changed wireless security authentication and SSID.
3) Tried a manual hard reset and firmware downgrade (same problem persists with downgraded firmware) and again upgrade.
4) Tried different operating systems (Windows 8, Windows 7, Ubuntu 12.04). Same problem exists with each of them.
I am trying to configure below commands in Cisco 4506 E with SUP 6 LE but these commands are not not supporting in the switch.Even QOS command is not taking in the siwtch....This was working fine in Cisco 4500 with SUP 2..not i upgared to 4506 E with Sup 6 LE.

I need to configure DSL Load Balancing on Core Cisco Switch 4506-E. I have a Router Cisco 2811 with 2GE Ports and a Firewall Cisco ASA5505. I have 8 Physical DSL Connections with 1Mb each. I need to combine that 8 Mb on Core Switch and allow each end user to access the Internet via the available DSL connection which means that every user has 8 Mb available.
I m a Network engineer in company, we have around 800 users in the office.Below is the details of my network infra. We have 4506 chasis with IOS version of 12.4 (44r) SG3HSRP is configured for redundancy.HSRP is configured on VLAN besis
The problem that HSRP is not working working properly, When my active VLAN goes down, Standby VLAN act as a Active VLAN but traffice is fail to route trought that VLAN and i m not able to ping another vlan from that VALN.
I am in the process to route two buildings together. Both building have the same network setup. 2 Core Switches 4506-E Chassis having glbp for layer 3 redundency on about 20 vlan in each building with default intervlan routing in place.Below is a simple sketch of how these are connected. Blue lines are still not connected...
What I need is to setup routing onto the blue fibre links so that networks from building 1 can reach networks on building to and vias versa. I would also need to implement some sort of redundency since I have to fibre links between the 2 building.
