I am trying to configure below commands in Cisco 4506 E with SUP 6 LE but these commands are not not supporting in the switch.Even QOS command is not taking in the siwtch....This was working fine in Cisco 4500 with SUP 2..not i upgared to 4506 E with Sup 6 LE.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased ASR1002-RP1-ESP5 with 2 x 4K Broadband licenses to be used as LNS. Cisco have sent me PAK files for the licenses however when I try to enter the licenses into the device I get an error message saying that Licensing is not supported on this platform.
Any experience with this platform and installation of the broadband licenses?
When I spoke to Cisco TAC they told me that for this particular model the licensing is on "trust" basis where you buy license and do not install it on the actual router - similar to what 7200 used to do.
I know this is a small business appliance I got my ccna certification with the hope of practice my CLI skills with a cisco device however I read in cisco docs the small business routers doesn´t support talnet neiter ssh I mean CLI, is thta true ?

I've had a Linksys RV082 for years and years and years. I've been trying to replace the aging thing for a while (with something gigabit and supporting IPv6). Unfortunately, I've really not found anything that comes close to having the features of the old RV. I've looked at NetGear, D-Link, and Cisco/Linksys, but everything seems to fall short (or just have bad reviews). This little RV082 came packed with a lot of features for a lower to mid level gateway.

I have just bought the MR3040. I am using this in India with local ISP Airtel and ZTE MF 880T LTE modem, which normally gives 4G connection when connected directly to the laptop.I have used the normal settings as guided by TP link and checked that dialing properties are all fine. When I am connecting through the MR3040, the blue light is visible in the modem but there is NO internet throughput, the internet icon in the router also remains OFF.
I just purchased a new E4200 router. When I try to set it up, , it says that my software (Lion v. 10.7.2) is unsupported. Is there a download that will allow me to use this router?

The problem that HSRP is not working working properly, When my active VLAN goes down, Standby VLAN act as a Active VLAN but traffice is fail to route trought that VLAN and i m not able to ping another vlan from that VALN.
I am in the process to route two buildings together. Both building have the same network setup. 2 Core Switches 4506-E Chassis having glbp for layer 3 redundency on about 20 vlan in each building with default intervlan routing in place.Below is a simple sketch of how these are connected. Blue lines are still not connected...
What I need is to setup routing onto the blue fibre links so that networks from building 1 can reach networks on building to and vias versa. I would also need to implement some sort of redundency since I have to fibre links between the 2 building.

Iam new on Acs 4.2 and i want to use Certificates to authenticate my windows XP Client and Igels.
On Windows Xp i selected : IEEE 802.1X Authentication enable EAP (Peap)
But i dont understand the Certification of ACS 4.2.
I generated a Self-Signed Certificate. Is this right ? and under installed Certificates the Certificate Status is okay.
Do i have to create for each windows Machine one user Account under user-Setup to authenticate the Machine?
Where do Windows Xp know whitch Certificate he have to take ?

Iam triying to configure ist szenario till 4 days and it still dont work.. On Windows i Only get the Error" authentication failed" on the Switch the same : dot1x : Authfailed
I am getting High CPU utilization in one of my switch which has many layer 3 vlan interface and many other routing interface.In the o/p of show process cpu i get 64 % CPU utilization. The o/p is as below

And rest of the other process are very normal. Only cat4k Mgmt LoPri is consuming very high cpu utilization. I have checked all the interface input queue and all are very normal.
I just started a new Position and they have CATos still runing on some of there 4506 and 6509 switches. I amy trying to come up with a plan to upgrade the switches to IOS but I dont know if they will take it or not. I know I need to get flash Cards to hold the IOS but i need to make sure that I get the right IOS for the Switches.

We are attempting to PXE boot from clients obtaining their DHCP lease information from DHCP pools configured on our 4506. The PXE server, and the client are configured in separate VLANs. We have configured option 66 to point to the PXE server IP address, and the bootfile option to point to the PXE boot configuration filename. On the client side SVI, we also have configured the ip helper-address command to point to the PXE server (which also acts as another DHCP server for redundancy).
The PXE boot continuously fails stating it is unable to find the configuration file. If we remove the DHCP pool from the 4506, and allow the client to receive their DHCP lease info from the secondary server (Windows 2k8 - same server as PXE server), they PXE boot with no issues.
We have no problem obtaining DHCP info, just completion of the PXE process.
