Cisco Application :: ACE 4710 Device Manager ERROR In Loading Configuration

Nov 20, 2012

When trying to view the status in the Monitor tab and the Config tab after you log in to the ACE 4710 Device Manager A5 (1.2) management GUI tool, I could not retrieve the status data and the following message appeared.

"Faild to upload Adimn configuration: There is error in loading configuration: Error in loading RMO config from DB:The given index XXXXXXXXX.bak does not match table index definition"

Other features include all normal, so I can get information by using the CLI.In addition, this configuration is redundant in the Primary / Secondary, this event occurs only on the Primary.

Other:-XXXXXXXXX.bak is a backup that you created in the checkpoint, and it does not already exist.

-When I'm logged on to the GUI, the above message is displayed in the status bar always.

-It was not recovered by ACE restart it.

-When I try to create the same configuration in a different environment, it did not reproduce.

Cisco Application :: ACE 4710 Active Using Virtual Partitions

Feb 14, 2012

I am completely new to the Cisco ACE devices but have been asked to look at deploying them.  I have read the ACE virtual partioning paper which covers the ACE module, and it mentions the following;"In an active/active high-availability design, both the primary and backup Cisco ACE modules are active simultaneously. The active virtual partitions are distributed across both modules, such that approximately half are active on the primary module and the remaining are active on the backup module."does the same resilience model work the same using the Cisco 4710 appliances?  I.e. can we split virtual partions across two physical devices thereby having an active/active scenario.

Cisco Application :: ACE 4710 A3 (5) Logging New Connections?

Jul 31, 2011

We have recently transitioned one of our Ecommerce products to a new data center, at which we now use a one-armed load balancing approach rather then the routed load balancing approach we used previously. This is casuing us some issues as we generally log the source IP address a user comes in on when he fills out an application. Now the logs only show the natted ip address recieved by the load balancer, which does us no good. Any way to log the source IP address when a new connection is created to a particular vip?

Cisco Application :: ACE 4710 Failed Probe And Established Connections

Jan 23, 2013

I have four ACE 4710. Each pair of ACE is in one geographical location. Probes are configured so that it is checking regular regex (HTTP GET).When there is need rserver update we change text in our testpage.html (for ie. from "OK" to "SUSPEND" ) so that probe detect fail. In fact rservers are still operational, but should not accept new connections. This works fine. BUT I observed that established connection/sessions did not end up after probe fails. ACE probably wait for openned/established connections to end up and it is what I am askign for. What happens if probe fails but in fact rserver is operational? I thought that if probe fails it also end up/cut all established connections to rserver. But seems it is not true.

Cisco Application :: 7341 Can't See Connection Statistics In Central Manager GUI

Aug 7, 2011

I'm running v4.3.5 in our WAAS environment.  At the CLI of one of our 7341 WAEs, there are several connections that show up [code] However, in the Central Manager nothing shows up - not even empty graphs - when I click on a device and go to monitor/connections statistics. After a few minutes, I do get an error message that states "Error retrieving connection stats. Please ensure that the device is online and then refresh." By the way, I get all other statics in the GUI such as Optimization Details Report, Traffic Summary Report, etc. Another thing, these WAEs are behind a router and supposedly the ports to allow access to/from the WAEs and other data is allowed through the firewall.

Is there some special port that needs to be opened on the firewall to allow for 'connection statistics' information displayed, that doesn't need to be opened for the other statistics to display? Or could this be a bug in the software?

B) Is it an overall throughput limit on the interfaces i.e. includes all traffic not only load balancing traffic but also normal routed traffic crossing the appliance

I've done all the set-up through the web interface so far, can this be done? If so, how?
