I have upgraded gss to version 3.2(0) because I need to track a server that uses only https.I configured a https head KA VIP answer type but the answer never goes on-line.I tried using url... as the VIP address but not go online too.The gss is behind a firewall.I suspected of the firewall but from the gss CLI it seems that the firewall is open for the https traffic: [code]

"SSL Weak Cipher Suite Supported - The web servers tested supports the use of weak SSL ciphers."
I've logon to the GSS but was not able to find the directory where the apache confs were stored (/cisco/merlot/apache)
My question is, can the cert and private key on the GSS be replaced by a new cert and key with stronger encryption?
I am configuring a GSS to check an Web server that responds to https requests.I put 443 as the port but I don´t see replies from the server and the Answer Status is always offline.Other servers using http on port 80 are showing OK.The appliance is a GSS-4492-k9 Version 3.1(0).

I am in the process of testing VA5(1.2) version of ACE on ACE4710 appliance.I did redundnacy configuration and it is working fine.I have done the snmp configuration and SNMP trap receiver is able to recieve traps like link up/down, so it proves that SNMP configuration is working fine, but i am not able to generate the SNMP trap notification for "clrRedundancyStateChange".I tried two things:
1) Via CLI, ran the command "ft switchover all" and i could see redundancy state changes.
2) Powered down Active 4710 appliance and standby ACE 4710 appliance taking over as Active.
However, none of the above could generate the trap clrRedundancyStateChange. how this trap can be generated? In snmp-server enable traps commands doesn't have any option for enabling FT related traps.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have two ACE4710 in a failover configuration with Software version A4(2.0). SNMP is setup and the receiver is able to receive SNMP traps.The issue is we are receiving a linkDown trap notification at least once every other day, followed shortly by a linkUp notification a minute later. We have checked all layer 2 devices connected to the ACE and cannot see any evidence that any link actually disconnected. We experienced no traffic lost, but this could be because a couple of the ACE links are bundled. The trap notification does not actually indicate which interface changed status. All links are Gigabits, and there are no packet drops either on the ACE or the layer 2 switch.

Post initial config i understand i should be able to open' Device Manager GUI Login Window' but it is not opening.I also need inputs on setting 4710 for the telnet connection
I have setup load-balancing on an ACE 4710 for HTTP for Sharepoint 2010. The Server Admin says that the IIS server will recognize the right site by DNS name. Problem is I have no clue how to make sure the servers get the DNS name passed to them. They says this is for a multi-homing setup so that we can run multiple sites using the same VIP to the same Serverfarm. How do I do this? I keep getting the IIS splash page since the real server cannot determine the IIS site that I am supposed to access.

Ace is running A5(1.2)Content types considered static (like images, stylesheets and javascripts) should be fetched from caches instead of servers.Content from the caches that can be compressed should be compressed by the ACE (stylesheets and javascripts).I am classifying traffic into * static, not compressable (content should be fetched from caches but is already compressed - this class will hold .jpg, .gif, .png, .ico and others - but for this experiment the class is defined with only (a never to be hit) content type .xico* static, compressable (content should be fetched from caches but can be compressed by the ACE - this class will hold .css and .js but for this experiment is defined only with (never to be hit) content types .xjs and .xcssother For statistics purpose I have included a catch all class for everything else (which shold be send to servers) - class-default is configured but will not be hit in this example because of the catch-all class I configured.Since both "STATIC" classes include only content types that has been renamed to content types not used in the real world, I will not expect any hits on those and since WWW.SITENAME.COM:80_STATIC_COMPRESSABLE is the only class configured for compression I expect that nothing will be compressed since there wil be no hits on this class.

Questions are: Why do I see things being compressed when there is only being accounted hits in a compression:off class ?Why does enabling compression in one class (never being hit) cause hits in other clases to be compressed ?

LMS device credential is as per above SNMPv3 config.Can't get this to work. Digging aroung but no avail. I also try this on ASA 9.1 but same result.
My network is currently running with SNMP v2 configured in easch devices. With snmp v2 our LMS 3.2 server is working fine. However we have planned to migrate our network to snmp v3 . I have configured my few devices for SNMP v3 and added them to my LMS server.
Except DFM module these new SNMP v3 devices are working fine in all other modules. In DFM these devices are reflecting under "snmp timeout" group. I checked with device center -> management station to device; where the SNMP v3 connections are showing "okey"
