Aug 26, 2012I trying configure ASN traffic load balance, but doesn't works.I have one Cisco Catalyst 6509 and onde Cisco Ace10 module, in my context "PanWEB" i have the interfaces above: [code] If i try to establish a telnet session(telnet 10.96.202.10 80) i see the SYN packet passing through the ACE and going to the real server, but, the server do not response the SYN packet. I done a capture in the server using wireshark and could see that the IP address of the destination is the VIP and not the rserver ip address , this is a problem? Why can not I have the SYN + ACK from the server?

But now I am facing a VSS scenario, I will need to combine switch and slot in order to reference each of the individual modules...
How do I "index" each of the ACESMs in a VSS cluster? ¿Is there an extension of the aforementioned command to be able to combine switch and slot information?

Setup is the following.
Cisco Catalyst 6509 with Sup720-10GE IOS 12.2(33)SHX7. There are around 30 L3 vlans configured on the switch. I'm only interested for the traffic on one L3 vlan which is the connection to wan cloud.
I wanna see only the traffic that goes to and come from the wan. On other Catalyst where I have routed interfaces i successfully configured netflow. I read a lot in the forums and documentations but i didn't find the right one.

Jun 29, 2011A customer observes SNMP timeout problems on a Cat6500 with IOS 12.2(33)SXI. As a result every 2 days (more or less) all interfaces are marked DOWN and a couple of minutes later all interface are up again - but in fact there is no interruption, it is just the snmp request getting a time out. the customer does not have problems with IOS 12.2(18)SXF14.
In the Bug Details the "Known affected versions" lists the following beside others:
12.2(33)SXI
12.2(33)SXI1
12.2(33)SXI2

Now I am confused; both IOS versions are listed as affected (12.2(33)SXI and 12.2(18)SXF14) but the customer does have problems only with one version. Is the customer hitting this bug or is it another one ?
He upgraded 2 Cat65xx on which he observed the problem to IOS 12.2(33)SXI6 and the problem is gone; is this just a coincidence or is CSCed52841 really fixed in 12.2(33)SXI6. This version is not listed as affected but on the other hand, "Fixed-In" lists only these 3:

Before going to upgrade around 50 Core / Distribution switches the customer wants to be sure with the IOS version. Tracing the issue is not that easy because the failure occurs only from time to time.

Jul 20, 2011I recently picked up a Catalyst 2960G and am trying to get SNMP management working over IPv6. I have the IP Address set to the local link, and can successfully ping and telnet to the switch (so the network can get traffic to and from the switch). However, SNMP packets just seem to disappear. I am running WireShark on my machine, and I see the packets go out to the proper IP, but nothing comes back. When I check "sho ipv6 traffic", I can see where there are UDP packets that are received, but, again, none going out. Also, when I run "sho snmp", all of the packet counts are 0.
Here are some relavant snipets from my "sho run":

Doesn't seem to be the case on an ACE30.How is the SNMP engineID derived on the ACE30?

(snmpv2 or v3, OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6)I believe pretty much any Cisco Catalyst above a 2950 do, however don't believe any of the SG series do. I realize I could pick up a 2960G for $1500-2k and be good to go, but I forsee a larger switch purchase in the future, but still could use a switch in the meantime that was able to allow accurate monitoring of closet uplink bandwidth?

So i want to know if is possible run a VSS cluster, whit only one ASA service Module. and also i would like know what happens if the single ASA service module fails? can the switch cluster continue operating just as if there is not a firewall installed?

Jun 20, 2012I am in the process of testing VA5(1.2) version of ACE on ACE4710 appliance.I did redundnacy configuration and it is working fine.I have done the snmp configuration and SNMP trap receiver is able to recieve traps like link up/down, so it proves that SNMP configuration is working fine, but i am not able to generate the SNMP trap notification for "clrRedundancyStateChange".I tried two things:
1) Via CLI, ran the command "ft switchover all" and i could see redundancy state changes.
2) Powered down Active 4710 appliance and standby ACE 4710 appliance taking over as Active.
However, none of the above could generate the trap clrRedundancyStateChange. how this trap can be generated? In snmp-server enable traps commands doesn't have any option for enabling FT related traps.

In the second case, can you tell me the oid string to use?
In case the module should receive a higher number of connections to that provided by the license, what's the issue for new https connections?

So now our client wants an url like https://www.yyy.com . The backend realservers and place of virtual dirs on IIS stays the same.
So now /yyy/ needs to be added to the backend realserver request, so the correct virtual dir is used. Therfore I need to add this Uri towards the realserver.

We're running on version 3.2(12) at the moment and I'm looking to jump up to 4. Any recommendations around whether I should to go to 4.1(6) or 4.0(16)? There aren't any features in particular that I would need in 4.1 but want a good stable base to sit on for 12 months until I look at this exercise all over again.
