I'm trying to change the RF Channel and Tx power level on my AIR-CAP36021-E-K9 from my WLC WISM2. I do the following;
Wireless --> 802.11 b/g/n --> Access Point --> Configure. I then select custom on both Power and Channel and make my change and then
click Save Configuration in the top righthand corner. I go back to 802.11 b/g/n select my AP and the power and channel setting have reverted back to their default selection.
We have just rolled out the 3600 AP's in a bunch of sites and we're seeing that some are not getting layer 2.
They are all patched to a variety of cisco switches (6500's, 3750's 4500's).
We're seeing a blinking green light on the AP itself and have tried restarting the port, and also see the port drawing power. But no mac address is presented to the switch. I have been going over the cisco documentation regarding these AP's and apparently the blinking green light indicates that the AP itself cannot conttact our Wifi controller, but to me that does not add up since AP itself isnt even have layer 2 connectivity.
We were expecting some DOA's (order was 800 APs) but the amount we're seeing with this issue seems to be too many to be DOA.
I have a question regarding to AIR-CAP3602I-A-K9. May I know does AIR-CAP3602I-A-K9 has the 802.11a module? Since I configured it with vWLC, I haven't AIR-CAP3602I-A-K9 inside 802.11a/n?
If so, any module I need to purchase to enable 5GHz.

I got a brand new 3602I that I want to join, from a remote site and I am getting these error messages and cannot join :

As far as I can tell, the AP seems to be loosing packets that are coming/going away from its own subnet.
AP address : 192.168.1.1 (mask 255.255.255.0)
WLC address : 192.168.2.1 (mask 255.255.255.0)
If I ping the AP address from a computer in the *same subnet*, I get a perfect 0% packet loss.
If I ping the AP address from a computer in ANY *other subnets*, I get about 50% packet loss.
If I ping anything else *other than this single AP*, to and from any other subnets, I get a perfect 0% packet loss.
Only packets orginating or sent to the AP from other subnets are getting lost.To me it looks like there is something wrong with the routing table of the AP, as if some packets were not properly returned ?
I tried to configure two RV042 working together. [code] WAN2 of both Router1 and Router2 are unused (unplugged). However, the Host2 can never ping to Host1. So as to Host1. Should I need to configure the protocol binding for all the traffic to the WAN1?

A few days ago my internet suddenly stopped working. I plugged in the ethernet cord and everything worked fine. Checking the properties in the device manager showed the device was working properly, I also tried resetting it to make sure it was enabled but it did not work.
Upon troubleshooting, the "Windows Network Diagnostic" said the problems was that the Wireless adapter was not turned on. Using the switch on the front of the laptop as well as the function keys does nothing. Usually a graphic pops up showing if the WiFi is on or off, changinging transparent to show the WiFi is disabled. Now when I turn the switch on it always appears transparent, effectively going from off to off
So I know the computer reads both the function keys and the switch on the front but both methods never actually turns the adapter on. I just finished a system restore and nothing has changed
Today, while surfing the web my internet connection on my PC just randomly shuts off. I go check on my laptop and its normal. My WiFi says that I am connected to an Unidentified network with no internet access. So i got frustrated and checked all the forums and nothing seemed to work. So i restored my computer to factory settings and I still got this problem. Does this mean my Wifi Card is bad? Is it a virus? I can see other networks fine but i just cant connect to mine!

Another question : What the bestway to use this example, but with a single "nat" for all outbound traffic (I want all outgoing traffic (on the main FW) to be seen from a single domain encryption)

- there is a group of HUB tx modems, each one is shared for approx remote 10 sites with a total bandwidth tx 2048k
- each remote site is to be guaranteed min 512k but can burst into the 2048
- remote sites must be somehow grouped to a member of each modem to set the bandwidth constraints
- a single DMVPN/multipoint GRE is configured on HUB. all remote sites connect to this (redundancy comes later )
The challenge is how to configure the QoS on the HUB side to meet this policy, Currently, I use ip nhrp group MODEM1 on each remote site, and ip nhrp map group MODEM1 service-policy output MODEM1 on the HUB. This is working ok. This works nicely, however I am left with the constraint that within each modem group I must define a class for each site and set the guaranteed bandwidth. As the policy is applied pre-encapsulation, I must create a class with an acl matching the remote sites IP ranges. An administration nightmare and prone to failure! I want to avoid this if possible.
I have Switch 6509E wich is the core of the network, and we have 4 llink form 4 ISPs, all the link will work at the same time?how can I confiugure the BGP , as I know if I configure bgp it will work with one ISP as an active link,if that link goes down it will automatically begin to work with other ISP. My question is that how can configure the network so that,some vlans work with one ISP, some vlans with the others and so on.If configure it with route map I will have to track every time to change the confiration if the links goes down, but I do not want to track it, Can I do anything with BGP to implement this task?The core of the network is Switch 6509E, intervlan routing is implemented on it, no dynamic routing is enabled.The firewall module installed on it the implementing the NAT processes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have a Cisco 891 running with a FTP running on port 21. I currently have the NAT from external IP to and internal IP 192.168.12.6 for port 21. And the firewall allowing that traffic through and client software is working fine. However I need this FTP to be running on port 990 and anytime I change the NAT and the firewall, the external FTP clients connect but then drop when recieving the directory listing.

I'm trying to configure a Cisco 3800 with a WIC-2AM-V2 to do DDR. I've gotten it to work before, but it was a while and now the config doesn't seem to work. I'm using an Lo0 interface and ip unnumbered on the Dialer interface. Using debug dialer and debug ppp and see nothing at all trying to dial out.
