Cisco Routers :: How To Open Range Of Ports In RV016

Jun 28, 2012

I am trying to add a couple VOIP phone units that do not have their own router.  They are designed to run of the existing router and have three ranges of UDP ports opened up.  They also do not advise using internal (private) statics on the phones. So what they are asking for is three different ranges of UDP ports to be opened up to all behind the router?

I cannot figure out how to do this (or if it is possible) with a RV016.

Cisco Routers :: RV016 Some Ports Configured In Setup / UPnP

Apr 3, 2013

I have a Cisco RV016 router, with some ports configured in "Setup --> UPnP". Currently I have problems to configure new ports. I can create the service in "Service Management", but when I add this service to the list, I press "Save" and the router close the session. I need to re-login the router, and it don't save the changes.
However, if I add a service that was already exists before having this problems, the router save the changes (But the router close the session too).
The router has the last version of firmware since the first run.

No Ports Seem To Open Up According To Routers GUI

Apr 6, 2012

No ports seem to open up when they are supposed to be open according to the routers GUI.When i use "port checker"-websites, they even say that port 80 is closed until i actively open it in the router, then it shows up as open. This however only applies to port 80, no other ports shows as open OR allow any traffic through. The same thing happens when the router is in DMZ.What I have done so far is google my butt off without any results, I have tried a new router, a new network card, formated, re-installed windows and made sure that my ISP is not blocking the ports that i have tried to open.My purpose of opening a port is to run a mumble server, which I have run on a Hamachi VPN so far, and that has worked fine.

Routers / Switches :: How Do FPS's Open UDP Ports

Nov 29, 2011

How do FPS's open UDP ports without needing to configure the router to forward them?I never have to forward ports from my router to my PC. Every game i have somehow manages to open the UDP ports it needs without me having to configure my router. Yet when i check to see if those ports are open (prior to starting the programs) they always come back as blocked or closed. Now I'm currently working on a UDP Internet program and need to know how to do the same thing - open ports on a router without having to make the customer configure their routers. I'm THINKING that other programs start with a TCP/IP connection on the desired port and that opens the UDP port. Is this the answer or is there another method used?

Cisco Routers :: Why Won't WRVS4400N Open Ports

Jan 30, 2012

I'm using a WRVS4400N and have all the proper ports open as well as the corresponding ones in the windows firewall. I've tested this with multiple port checkers online, such as I've even go so far as to put one computer on a dmz and turn off the firewall on others. I've tested multiple ports on different computers. As well as from different remote gateways (other people's computers) just to see if it was a loopback problem.
I have the latest firmware installed and have done this from a clean install as well. This problem won't go away. My addy is nbcr [dot] if you'd like to have a test yourself and see that 118 is indeed closed.
I have an extensive computer repair background and run my own shop repairing computers, however networking is my weak area. Oh and its version 2.

Cisco Routers :: Forward Range Of Ports With RV180W?

Oct 14, 2012

I am new to the RV180W. I am running the most recent firmware--version
I am having trouble getting FTP to work with my QNAP NAS.
QNAP indicates that I should forward ports 55536-56559 to my NAS. I created a custom service to accomplish this, and then, under port forwarding, I selected the service and forwarded it to the private IP that corresponds with the NAS.
However, the port forwarding configuration only allows me to specify *ONE* internal port. With other routers I have always specified the same private port *RANGE* that corresponds with the public ports that I have opened up.

Cisco Routers :: RV042 Leaves Ports 80 And 443 Open To Shields UP?

Jan 2, 2012

Is there a way to use QuickVPN with the RV042 without leaving ports 80 and 443 wide open to Shields UP! scans?  As a workaround, I am forwarding these ports to a non-existent IP and forcing QuickVPN to use port 60443.  Yes, 60443 shows as open too if I scan it, but at least it's not in the first 1056 ports.

Cisco Routers :: RV042 - How To Close All Ports And Leave Some Specific Open

Apr 18, 2012

A company with 20 branches in Rio de Janeiro area. The main servers are in a datacenter located in downtown. Each branch has a RV042 router with firmware version (Feb 13 2009 13:03:21) installed. All users in this network have a proxy configuration pointing to proxy.[blah] port 3128.the HTTP/HTTPS traffic should go through proxy only. [code] Some "smart" users were caught using Ultrasurf application, which changes the proxy settings to go through port 9666 or even 443.In other machines, we've found some black proxies [for example: port 8080].
My objective:

- To close all ports in Firewall -> Access Rules section and grant permission only to some selected and specified ports.

- To redirect all HTTP/HTTPS connections to go to proxy's IP address only.
Which Access Rules can I set in these RV042s in order to block and prevent these users to continue abusing this network? The users who were caught using Ultrasurf were fired.

D-link 524 - Can't Open Ports

Feb 9, 2011

I have this problem i can't open my ports on my D-link 524, i have opened about 6 ports so that my XBOX 360 works with a open nat, i have also set the DMZ to my xbox's IP which is static btw, my PC is also static. This is how i basically tested and it told me that it was not opened. I went into: -> Advanced -> Virtual Servers ->

Name: XBL1

Private IP: ( because i was testing it on the computer - if it
were 360 it would be .141 )

Both UDP and TCP at port 3074

Apply -> Then restarts modem/router i waited for 2 minutes before turning them on again, i turned router on first because some guide told me to do that.

I did exactly what they did on then i opened up portchecker and typed in 3074 and pressed check -> This port is NOT opened. What is wrong? This is how my net is set up.

Modem ZyXEL -> D-Link 524 -> D-Link DGS 1005D -> Computer/XBOX.

Cisco Firewall :: ASA 5505 - PAT Range Of Ports

May 31, 2011

I've an ASA 5505 as my gateway for my internet at home. I've one public IP, so I use Port Address translatetion for my internal clients.
Now i wanna setup a FTP server, on a internal client. I will use Filezilla FTP server. I'm running the FTP server in passive mode, since the FTP server would be behind my ASA firewall/nat device.
I need 50 ports for the passive mode to be running.
I will use port range 50000-50050. I can easy make a firewall rule (access-list) that permit that port range.
But how do I PAT(NAT) a port-range on the ASA device? I can only figure out how to NAT one port at the time.

Cisco :: Added New Server To PIX But Ports Not Open

Aug 22, 2012

I am pretty new to Cisco - and I have a little 506E that I love. I got it working with my first scenario where I have one server that is my web, and e-mail server.I also opened the RDP port so I can remote into it. The IP's for the old server are internal name ferbweb-external name ferbwebpub. Now - I need to add another server in the exact same way with the same ports 80, 25, and 3389 open to the outside - IP's internal name ferbmail and external name ferbmailpub.I can get to all of these ports on the new server on the inside network - so that is not the problem. So, I went into the config, copied the statements for the old server, and changed them for the new server and added them to the config. I can still get to the old server from the outside fine, but cannot get to any ports on the the new server from the outside at all.I have done a lot of research, and cannot find what I am doing wrong.
