I have dot1x configured on the switch and have a Windows 7 PC connected with 802.1x configured on the interface. I see the EAPoL start message from the PC, but I don't see any RADIUS packets from the switch to the RADIUS server. I have a simple dot1x config just to try to get it working prior to adding additional features such as guest-vlan...

I don't know if the ip dhcp snooping and arp inspection configuration is causing an issue with this or not. I see the EAPoL packet received on the switch as seen in the debug attachment, but I still never see the RADIUS packet. I did set both to trust on the interface but still the same outcome. I can't disable it since it is a production switch with a test interface.
Is there any way to do layer 3 security like a web login to an LDAP server on the wireless portion of the SA 520W?I'm asking because we have this set up on many of our Cisco Wireless Controllers and I would like to do it on the SA520's as well. I'm not sure if it's supported though.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am configuring TACACS Authentication on Cisco 3550 switch .It has Version 12.2(25)SEA IOS image. A strange thing is happening, whenver I am enabling AAA new-model on this switch, and then after enabling I see ruuning-config . It shows me this

I also have a local level-15 user in case all of my RADIUS servers time out and someone needs to change something. This also works well. The issue I'm having is that a low-level user can log on using the RADIUS severs, then issue the "login" command and enter the local level-15 user's credentials and then operate at level 15.
I do not want the local account to work at all, except in the case that all RADIUS servers are unavailable. What I've described above works around this. How to disable the "login" command or force it to try RADIUS servers first? This is for ASA 8.2

Im trying to configure a 7204 for radius login authentication, although the router is also configured with radius for VPN access. How can I configure it for both using 2 different raidus servers? the login via radius is working fine on another router, although that one is not doing VPN access so there's no conflict.
My config:

For some reason, this does not work. I cannot access the router and authenticate via x.x.3.11 radius server. I think there's a conflict between the VPN and the login authentication but im unsure how to resolve this.
I am not able to find the exact bug for Cisco 3750E stack - Debug Exception (Could be NULL pointer dereference) Exception (0x2000) error. Closest i can find is CSCsa72400 which only affects ver 12.2(20)SE4.All the stacks (3 switches) are running 12.2(50)SE3, It appears that the switch 1 crashed and reloaded. My hunch is its software but i cant find any related bugs. It could be hardware issue as well ?

I am having ACS 4.0.2 in my network, which I want to use for 802.1x Radius Authentication for Clients on PEAP-MSCHAPv2 methodology.As per the documentation " EAP Authentication with RADIUS Server", Doc ID: 44844.I have configured Network Configuration and populated AAA client IP range and Secret Key.

I recently got a refurbished external (USB) wireless adapter by Netgear. It's the WNA3100 but who knows what they did to it while refurbishing it.
I tried using it to connect to the wireless network at my university, and I got the above-displayed error. So what's the deal? This RADIUS thing is not a new technology, right? So any modern wireless adapter should be able to handle it. Why would this thing not support it?
Secondly, if it doesn't work, that's alright. I need a second wireless adapter anyway, so I could use this one at home where the RADIUS thing is not an issue. But how do I make sure this does not happen again with another one that I buy? I can't seem to find anywhere in the specs anything about this compatibility. I need to add RADIUS attributes for a custom vendor under "Group Setup" page in ACS 4.2. As of now, I see Cisco Aironet RADIUS Attributes, IETF RADIUS Attributes etc in "Group Setup" page. How can I make sure that the RADIUS attributes for a vendor also appear on that page?

I must have messed up when configuring it as it comes up via TELNET asking for a username and password but doesn't take my AD credentials. How might I login to this router to fix the config? Do I need to do a password recover process?
One note, I didn't save the running-config to startup-config, so if I restart the router will it load the startup-config, thus overwriting the running-config that wasn't working?

Whenever i tried to log on to the computer it is giving me an error message that "The System could not log on the "Domain Name" either the connection is disconnected or the domain is no longer available" somting like that. When i remove the LAN Cable and if i enter the domain password, i can login to the computer. after i log on the computer if i connect the LAN Cable it is working fine. I can access the other computer which is connected to the same domain. Why the error message is poping up?

I've read a few websites already and a lot of them seem to be geared toward VPN and some of the settings each site goes through are different.I've got NPS installed and a RADIUS client configured with the shared key. Right now I'm in the process of creating the Network Policy which only allows a Windows "admin" group to log in. Curious about the "Constraints" section where the NAS Port Type is selected and the "Settings" section where the service-type and vendor specific options are configured.
