Cisco Switches :: SWR 2048 Good Source For A Replacment Fan
Mar 5, 2013
I have a SWR 2048 switch that has started to make some noise - I suspect one of the fans is starting to go. It looks like the fans are from Sunon, 40mm x 40mm x 20mm, 3 pin, 12v. Does anyone know the model number or a good source for a replacment fan?
First of all, is there a document on the SG300 that explains everything in plain english? Here is what I am trying to do...I have a Charter Communications connection to the internet through their modem. This modem has a static IP.I would like to make this internet connection the source for the SG300 and all the other ports be DHCP.I was told when I purchased it that being a layer 3 device.
I have a question for Cisco Cat.2960-s Flex Stack switches which are installing on our sties. Two of 2960-s Stack switches as access switch and two of Cisco ME 3600X Series as distribution layer switches are to be installed in our sites. In case of two stack switches, One is will be a Master and the other one will be a member logically, as you know. So, if the master fails, the other one automatically becomes the stack master following a well-documented election process.
Now, it is my question. How long takes to be a stack master from a member switch ? I cant find it on white paper of Cat.2960-s flex stack . And also, I heard that sometimes a member switches don't election process when the master fails as a result, all stack members become a panic. Is that really right ? In addition, I heard that the stack switches have many troubleshooting points than stand alone switches. I really wanna know if the stack switches are good solution for resilience of huge network site. I'm waiting an answer from those who have experience of maintenance or installation.
How do I monitor the traffic passing each individual ports on a Cisco SLM2048 Gigabit smart switch. This switch is the core where other switches connects to.I wanted to know which ports carries the most traffic and probably apply some changes.
I have a doubt about CiscoWorks. I need to generate the self-signed certificate with a key of 2048 bits to generate a CA with VeriSign. CiscoWorks do this automatically with a key of 1024 bits and I do not find a form to elect a a diferent key. Is it possible to generate a certificate with 2048 bits key?
Another problem is that I have CiscoWorks installed on Solaris. Many times at day the web application does not work and the only way to recuperate it is with the command "init 6" and I have to way 15 minutes until I can have access again. Why is produced this error? Who can I fit it?
I have bought and installed a 2048bit certificate from Thawte on a ACE20-MOD-K9 module. The appliance can't use it and gives the following error: "This certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted certfication authority."I have contacted Thawte about this and they suggest to install an intermediate certificate from Thawte on the module, but I can't find such a certicicate for Cisco on their site. Also I'm not sure how to go about implementing such an intermediate certificate on the ACE.
So because of the way active directory handles Group Policy I have been tasked with finding out why this is failing over the WAN. Basically I know why, but don't know how to correct it. I am trying to increase the MTU over an ipsec tunnel to 2048 to allow Microsoft Slowlink detection to occur. [URL] Basically, it sends 2 icmp packets. One at a normal size and one at a size of 2048. In my case this is trying to occur over an ipsec tunnel and failing due to the MTU being at 1440. I have seen a few articles about increasing it to 1500, but is there a way to increase the MTU to allow the 2048 sized icmp packets?
I'm working on task to update the SSL certificate for an application. steps to upgrade the SSL, stuffs need to be checked before and after the installation and how to verify the new certificates.
MY voice conversation on magic jack breaks up when I download a movie to my direct TV. I have a Belkin F9K1103V1, N750Db. I'm not using WiFi, Im wired to ports on back of Belkin.
I just built my first pc and realized I can't connect it to the internet. An ethernet cable is out of the question since our router is on the clear opposite side of the house. So now I'm looking at some wireless adapters. I have decided that, for simplicity's sake and portability, I want to go with a usb adapter.
I have a PC attached to a standard 192.168.1.1 router with port forwarding turned on. The PC has an IP of 192.168.1.10 and I have Port 3389 (RDP) on the router forwarded to that PC's internal IP.
I currently have a DynDNS hostname, example.dyndns.org, and I type that into MSTSC (remote desktop) whenever I'm traveling.
But, is there a better way of doing this? The IP of the PC is not static, but it rarely changes. I do have a domain registered with GoDaddy and have full access to DNS records.
A thunderstorm about 3 hours ago fried my DIR-655 rev. A3 router. I heard a zapping noise and that was it. All the signals are messed up, even after a hardware reset, and the router runs extermely hot, with lots intermittently blinking and no connections.
I need another router with similar features, especially with a USB port for my printer.I found the DIR-655 reliable a long as it lasted, but I never upgraded the firmware, which was fine with me. Nonetheless I want to buy a more modern solution.
Talking to tech support at D-Link the DIR-825 was recommended. Is the DIR-825 router a good router for my needs ? Is it a worhty upgrade to the DIR-655 router ? Does Shareport work well with it ?
My house is wired so any demanding network transfers are done over the wired network, wireless is reserved for casual stuff. This month my internet connection is eventually going to exceed 100Mbps so I need to dump my WRT54G and while I'm sure the RT-N66U is very nice, I could save $100 buying the RT-N16.
I have a gigabit switch that works great and handles all of the local traffic, I just need the router for DHCP, NAT, basic wireless connectivity, and it needs to be able to pull in over 100Mbps from the internet. So is the RT-N16 adequate for me?
Any good WiFi card. As accordind to my network engineer my 6 year old Netgear WG111v2 has some problem as a result the connection continuously looses connection. Although in my Laptop which has onboard Wifi the connection is consistant. Out of internal and external Wifi card which one is more reliable?
I'm looking for a good managed (i.e. a unit with stats and troubleshooting capabilities) fiber-to-copper media converter. I know there's plenty of "dumb" media converter choices out there, but was hoping to get one that has a console conn or the like to troubleshoot any possible issues. I'm converting between 50nm multi-mode fiber with an SC connector to 1000-bT copper.
good IP Address hider or blocker. I have looked into "Hide My IP" which has about 8 different ones and also one called "Tor" but not able to find much information on it.
I have a cable lan connection for internet.i check speedtest.net for the results and it showed.9mbps download speed and .10 mbps upload speed.but when i download something i only get 0.45 mbps speed.Sometimes i get 9mbps but not often. But speedtest.net always shows my speed to be 9mbps.So that makes me guess , that there is actually 9 mbps available.now how do i utilize it.?
I deployed wireless mesh with 3 RAP and 1 MAP (AIR-LAP1522AG-E-K9 with 4 antenna) + WLC 2504. The AIR-ANT2480V-N are installed on pole from a height of 17-15 m. I noticed that I can't get a good signal (front of antenna between 40m to 60m I got between -60 and -70 dbm) with slow connection.
1) What is the best antenna height on pilone? 2) Can I use other antenna (directional) with AIR-LAP1522AG-E-K9? 3) what is the area covered by antenna? 4) the RAP and MAP establish a neighbor between them and work with same fréquence for Mesh connection. is there any impact with that?
I have a small building which has two levels. I have a 1230 on the top floor and about 10 people. Below that floor is another office with 10 people. They don't all use wireless, infact its only used for guests and smartphones, tablets of which there aren't many.I was wondering instead of sticking another unit in the downstairs office, Can I either use two anntenna's, one on each floor connected to the one controller or is there a good antenna which will do both floors? The floor is concrete, I have one antenna attached to the right hand connector of the 1230 and can get 2 or 3 bars in the lower office. Thou as its a flat antenna this doesn't cover the part of the office directly beneath it.
II am trying to download and watch an educational video and it won't play. The owners of the videos said to make sure I had the latest Flash Player...I have '11'. And that my computer speed was high.Did a speed test and got Download: 73 kbps and Upload: 240 kbps...which means nothing to me.Don't know if those are good or bad speeds fast enough or too slow.
I am in a location where I can pick up great wifi signal, but when I connect to this unsecured signal, my page won't load. I ran a diagnostics & Association failed. I would also like to mention that I am also configured to use a broadband usb through a cell phone carrier, but if I can get the wifi free, I certainly don't want to pay for the broadband.By the way, it's an XP operating system.
I have ZyXEL PLA4201KIT Mini Powerline Ethernet Adapter Starter Kit Up to 500Mbps to connect my desktop to the internet and recently i've been getting random moments where i lose internet connection so everything stops working. I have to either restart my comp or take out the ethernet cord and put it back in. my router is next to our tv and i read somewhere that having it next to a big appliance will suck all the power for itself.
Does any one know of a good parental software, one that controls searches and websites. I just bought my 12 yr old daughter a laptop and want to keep her safe online
