Cisco VPN :: ASA5520 Internet Connection Will Drop / Client Disconnects

A lot of times our users will have a bad connection from where they are connecting in from. Their Internet connection will drop and the VPN Client disconnects but on our Cisco ASA5520, the connection will still be connected and when their Internet connections comes back, they are not able to connect as the session is still up on the 5520. Is there a way to make the connection clear quicker? I have IKE Keepalives on the RA Profile (Confidence 300 seconds, Retry Interval 2 seconds) but it seems to keep the session longer than that. Is there anything I can do to make the connection clear quicker?
I have a Cisco RV120W router with 1.0.4.10 firmware. The router drop the internet connections, freeze/timeout in admin interface randomly. How can I determine that this is the router's fault, or if it's the switch / internet access is causing it?
My internet connection seems to drop offline randomely while surfing the net. It basically results in yahoo or google freezing for 20-60 seconds before unfreezing and running flawlessly again. I seen a previous post that requested the individual hit start, run, cmd, and enter tracert google.com.

We have a several SonicWall TZ 190 establishing VPN tunnels with a ASA5520. Pericodically random VPN tunnels will drop and can not re-establish a connection. In order to re-establish the dropped VPN tunnel, our firewall folks manually drop all VPN tunnels connected to the ASA (they use to physically power cycle the ASA). They claim this is the only way to resolve the problem and since the SonicWall Life Time seconds for Phase 1 and 2 are set to 28800, they reset the tunnels every 8 hours. Additionally, they claim that SonicWall IPSEC is different that Cisco IPSEC which is the main problem. Hence they are requesting a SONICWAll VPN concentrator..
Ok, I have a huge problem with my wireless connection. It will constantly lose connection to the internet from my PC, IPod, Laptop etc. What will happen is a yellow warning triangle appears which tells me I've lost internet access. I have had the modem checked and replaced by the ISP with no success so it's likely that it's not a problem on their end. I've changed the wireless channel to move it away from my neighbours with no success.

I’ve bought a router, and a wireless antenna for my laptop, since I have a high-speed internet outlet in the living room, but I use my laptop in the kitchen (I don’t have any other pc). So I’ve configured my Linksys WRT120N router in the living room, unplugged the ethernet cable from my laptop, plugged the wireless antenna in the kitchen, and everything was working fine with the wireless network. After about one month I was not able anymore to enter my network with the security key, there was actually no prompt for the security key, just a message “Cannot connect to the network”. I then had to reconfigure the router, going to the router IP address (I used the default settings, a blank for username, and “admin” as a password, as per instructions), use another network name, security key and password, and was able to start again a wireless network with the wireless antenna as before. This problem represented other 3 times (in the last 3 months), and was working fine, but now I cannot reconfigure the router anymore, since the IP address doesn’t accept BLANK/ADMIN anymore, and if I go ahead and reconfigure the router a message says I have to use the default settings in the IP address…
I purchased a WRT110 router about a 18 months ago. Â I am currently experiencing an issue where the wireless connection to the router will become randomly erratic. Â My internet connection will slow down or drop entirely. Â Sometimes my laptop will disconnect from the router entirely. Â I don't think it's the wireless card in my laptop since I have seen the issue on my desktop using a wireless N USB adapter, my Nintendo Wii, and my wife's Macbook, all within the last week. Â I am positive it is the router. Â I set up a coninuous ping command to the router accross my laptop's wireless using "ping -t 192.168.2.1" in a command prompt. Â Most of the time, the round trip is 1 to 3 ms or <1 ms. Â When I am experiencing the connection issues, the ping time will rise significantly, sometimes going as high as 2000 - 3000 ms. Â About 25% of time, the ping will just time out. Â When this starts happening, the only way I have been able to restore proper connectivity is to manually reboot the router. Â The issue eventually re-appears. Â Sometimes in a few days, sometimes in as little as five minutes. Â I've gone so far as to restore the router to factory defaults and reconfigure it, but that has not made a difference.
I have experienced some strange behavior of WiFi connection using WRT320N router. ISP provides me the internet in 2 modes (day and night). During day mode max speed is 24 Mb/s and during night 60 MB/s. Modem ADSL (Cisco EPC3010) is connected to Linksys WRT320N and on router is configured WiFi.Now issue. In the day mode everything is perfect. Cable connection gives me 24 MB/s and WiFi connection around 22 MB/s so not so bad. Â However when my internet speeds up to 60 Mb/s (cable connection via router gives exactly 60), WiFi connection instead speed up as well, just drop to max 17 Mb/s. I have tied several different settings on the router including changes in WiFi band, channel width, different channels (now channel is setup to 1 which is maybe not totally free but no so occupied) and others but unfortunately without significant improvement (in many cases connection just slowed down more).
And some details: Wireless configuration (now) Band: 2.4GHz Mode: Wireless-N only Channel Width: Auto (20MHz or 40 MHz) Channel: 1
Wireless adaptor:  Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 (I know that this doesn’t mean anything but Win7 shows that connection is established with speed 144MB/s)Router firmware and WiFi card updated to the newest version.
Recently came back from college to a terrible internet connection that frequently disconnects or drops in speed randomly (for all computers on network). This requires me to perform a hard reset to restore connection. This usually happens at least once a day and sometimes several. Current set up is a Motorola Surfboard SB5100 Cable Modem and a Linksys WRT54GS router.
I have got ADSL 196kbps PPPoe internet connection and lately there has been some problems with it. Sometimes the internet connection disconnects itself and again reconnects. And the internet connection is getting very slow. While downloading, I am able to download at full speed only at those download providers which provides full speed but at other download providers I am able to download with not even half speed. While browsing, the internet loses connectivity sometimes and from my guess I am able to browse with only half the speed. I have tried in different browsers and it is same with all of them.
The problem is that my internet connection either randomly loses connection for about 5-10 seconds until it gets back online or disconnects all together. When it disconnects and it can't get back online on it's own, I have to pull the power plug and plug it back in. My sister in law and I are sharing internet since our houses are about 100 feet between each other. We are using one modem, and two routers. All we did was just plug the second router to the first router and it worked! We didn't configure anything in the router control panels, we basically just plugged and play. Since it's been kicking us off or resetting on us, I feel it might be something that we had to configure in the two routers. But I don't know what to configure. I have installed CSC-SSM-10 on cisco ASA 5520.I am facing two problems
1 : When I send traffic from ASA to SSM module then internet connection becomes slow and sometimes internet session disconnected. 2. When I try to manual update then following erros shows please see attachment .
I have a belkin wireless router/modem running our home network. We connect using 3 android devices, a wii and wireless printer with no problems. However, when connecting using either a windows 7 or windows XP laptop the internet connection is lost after a couple of minutes. I can't work out the cause of the problem but resetting the router gives a couple of minutes of browsing before it goes again. I have tried using static IP addresses for the laptops but this hasn't worked, furthermore I have tried a winsch reset.
i have my router connected to ISP then my router directly connected to my ASA5520....i use also ASA5520 as my DHCP Server and i was wondering with the DHCP Server function of ASA 5520 because if i use the ASA 5520 LAN ip ...all workstation will not be able to browse anything from the internet unless i use my ISP DNS IP which they gave me?
I have recently added a wifi router to my home network. The connection is from my cable modem to a wired router to the wifi router. Everything on the network works great except when I turn on my cell phone's wifi connection. That disconnects my entire network from the internet and I have to unplug/replug my wired router to get reconnected. If I leave home with my phone and return, leaving the cell's wifi setting on, it reconnects to the network without disrupting the internet connection.
I can't seem to skype or video chat of any sort (ie: aim video chat, facebook video chat, etc.) on my computer. Whenever I start skype or try to start a video chat on aim/facebook, it fails and my internet disconnects for everyone. I don't know what could be wrong. Using the same wireless internet, my friends are able to video chat on their macbooks. It seems like my computer is the only one that can't video chat. Video chatting works when I use a sprint internet card. I have a sony vaio laptop running on windows 7. Our router in our apartment at school is a D-link wireless N? In addition to this problem, my internet loves to disconnect randomly too...this problem also persists at home with my Cisco Linksys router (model WRT160N V3) and Speedstream 5100 modem.
I have implemented a Clientless SSL VPN solution with Smart-Tunnel feature on Cisco ASA 5520, software 8.4(4)1.I have been successful in making Bookmarks which employ Smart-Tunnel feature to avoid content rewritting (if any). And in reality it works fine with some links. However there are some links to an Oracle portal, it doesn't work.I was able to log into the Oracle portal with its username/password. However when i click into a button of the drop-down menu, nothing happens while normally there should be a box appearing. The Oracle portal runs with some Java stuffs which i don't really know as i am not a programming engineer anyway.
I have been having problems with my Internet the past couple weeks. If I am watching a video, it doesn't matter which site, the video will stop and start from the beginning or the video will just stop altogether and I have to refresh the page. Another problem that happens while browsing, it will take about a minute for a page to load. The computer I am using is wired right into the router.
The rest of the family's computers the apple tv and the roku are wireless. I have been hearing complaints from them and have witnessed the laggyness. While streaming videos on the roku or apple tv, the video will stop and say video is not available or no connection. This is what I get from ipconfig/all

I have a problem with VPN Passthrough with a NCP Client and Cisco ASA 5520 Version 8.4(3)A VPN IPSec Connection with a Cisco VPN Client through the Cisco ASA works fine.The NCP Client establish a connection with Source and Destination UDP 4500 to the remote VPN Gateway and the connection setup is aborted.If I establish a connection with a NCP Client on a Virtual Machine with NAT , the connection setup works fine.A connection setup under VM in Bridge mode is also aborted.The VPN Passthrough problem with the NCP Client started with the Update to version 8.4(3)The connection worked very well until version 8.2(5).
I’m intending to establish a VPN connection between Nortel 1140E phone behind a ADSL router and a Cisco ASA 5520.can any one confirm to me if the vpn client on the Nortel 1140E phone is compatible with Cisco ASA
i have configured remote access VPN to cisco ASA 5520, Cisco vpn client is connecting fine and both phases are coming up but ipsec phase packets are not encapsulating. and ima not able reach the remote subnets 192.168.10.0 and 192.168.180.0. [code]
I am using an ASA 5520 running 8.2(4). My objective is to get a VPN client to access more than one network on the inside of the network, i.e., I need to VPN in with an IPSec client and be able to establish tcp connections to servers at 192.168.210.x and 10.21.9.x and 10.21.3.x, I believe I am close to having this resolved, but seem to have a routing issue.
I have a Cisco ASA5520 that I have setup to allow a GRE tunnel through from a router at site B. This all works fine when I use the below NAT with associated router object on the inside  object network SWTEST nat (inside,outside) static interface  My problem comes in that this kills off my Cleintless VPN connection to the same firewall, I changed my NAT to point at another of my statically assigned IP addresses, and then nothing works. Can anyone help with what I've done wrong, or what i should do? My rule base allows any GRE in from the source, and rules all look fine.
ASA-5-305013: Asymmetric NAT rules matched for forward and reverse flows; Connection for icmp src outside:192.168.13.50 dst DMZ2:192.168.13.15 (type 8, code 0) denied due to NAT reverse path failure  Cant seem to get around this one yet. I have a remote ASA that I can VPN into. It has 2 dmz's, outside and inside interface configured.  Inside subnet is 192.168.11.0 / 24 DMZ2 is 192.168.13.0 / 24 VPN client pool is 192.168.15.0 /24  I login in fine. But have no access to the DMZ2 subnet. I get the failure listed above.
I have a client that is getting disconnected quite frequently from our VPN Concentrator and in looking at the server I cna find no issues or cause for the disconnect. his ping to the concentrator never fails, but yet is disconnects. I have hundreds of remote VPN clients connecting to the same concentrator without issues.
I have had an e4200 for about a month now and its been pretty good. But I have noticed that it completely locks up when I go to copy mass amounts of data through it.   I have a NAS drive plugged into it and my laptop is on the 2.4 spectrum. I went to transfer 8gigs of data from laptop to NAS drive and the entire wireless portion of the router locks up. All my wireless clients drop and I have to unplug the router and plug it back in.   Even the 5ghz clients drop as well. I have not tried hardwire, but the main reason I got this was for its throughput.

I've recently just moved house and we got Virgin Media 50mgs broadband installed with their wireless super hub which is also a Netgear product.However I first noticed up in my room I have weak signal on my wireless devices I have my Dell laptop, xbox 360 and desktop pc with wifi card.I researched this and went out and bought a Netgear wireless extender:

Now this does work it gives me excellent signal but it keeps dropping the connection which is extremely frustrating when playing the xbox or on an online game on the pc.I contacted Netgear and all they suggested was updating the firmware
I´m working with the WLC 8500 and 7 AP 1550; we already setup this equipments since last year, working without a problem, because there was not much traffic (This WLAN is working on a university). a few months ago we began to experiment a few drop connections from one AP, but 2 days ago, all AP are having drop connection all the time, with latency of more than one thousand miliseconds.  We checked the setup again, and all seens fine, the only thing that we are not sure is about the "load profile" from the 2.4Ghz frecuency, is changing continiously from passed to failed.  All the AP are working as root (no mesh network), all of them are in local mode, they are working at 2.4Ghz, all AP are using the same VLAN (just one).
I have a customer using the RDP plugin via WebVPN on an ASA 5510 (running 8.2.2).They are complaining that after ten minutes or so, the RDP connection drops. Sometimes they can connect again straight away, other times they even have to re-login the ASA WebVPN again.I can't find any logging which explains what is going on.

I found a few of these on newegg but all of them have reviews which claim that these routers drop the wireless signal every so often and need to be reset. I have a router that has the exact same problem but it is very old now and so I understand. But a new router with this problem is not acceptable.
