I have a problem with a client/server app: It is a web application that resides in C:inetpubwwwroot (aspx pages) of the server. The client is a Windows app that is installed into Program Files on the clients and when running receives commands from a webservice on the server. When I install it on a PC on our own test environment it communicates with the server perfectly, no matter how many times I re-boot the client, the connection never goes down. When I give the client to someone on a separate domain, they install it and everything is OK. However, once they reboot the PC (Windows XP) the connection to the server fails. The can still ping the server from the PC, they can even see the web service is up and running by typing into a browser but the connection now fails. If I get them to uninstall the client all and re-install, it is fine again. As I say, it is a reboot that breaks it (communication to the web service that is.) My problem is that I am completley blind to the setup on the client-side of those I give it to (I only email it to them, I have only been in the site once). The PC is obviously on a domain (with static ip addresses I assume) but other than that i know nothing. I think it is something similar to the way when you map a drive in Windows and then when you reboot it has lost the connection and you have to re-map it.
I use vmware workstation, and doing small networking project.i use 1 windows server 2008 x64 sp1 as DC, DNS and DHCP with 2 nic(1 nic for local(vmnet2) and 1 for internet(NAT)) and i use 1 windows 7 client machine.in server local nic settings are ip 200.200.200.1 sm 255.255.255.0 gw: empty dns 200.200.200.1

I have a work computer...Dell Latitude 6400, AT&T Global Network Client (Company VPN service), using Novatel USB551L from Verizon, with their new 4G LTE. First connect to Verizon, then it automatically launchs ATT Global Network Client, once connected, the system automatically maps drives. I stay on for about 15 minutes average to 40 minutes that's when the Verizon drops/disconnects. This consistantly happens throughout the day!
1. If I connect to a "local" wireless signal NO dropping.
2. If I tether my Sprint Android, NO dropping.
Only dropping with the Verizon. I MUST have the Verizon dedicated to this work computer to run the VPN and hopefully (very soon) a mandated VOIP with Avaya!Called Verizon- they sent me a new USB thinking that might fix it. But same thing. They are showing signal strength 4G. Nothing on their side.
A lot of times our users will have a bad connection from where they are connecting in from. Their Internet connection will drop and the VPN Client disconnects but on our Cisco ASA5520, the connection will still be connected and when their Internet connections comes back, they are not able to connect as the session is still up on the 5520. Is there a way to make the connection clear quicker? I have IKE Keepalives on the RA Profile (Confidence 300 seconds, Retry Interval 2 seconds) but it seems to keep the session longer than that. Is there anything I can do to make the connection clear quicker?

I am trying to connect some thin clients to a domain based windows 2003 server. This the first time mi trying to do this. If the computer is set to workgroup there is no problem. The problem comes up when its a domain based server.I keep getting the message that the user is logged in. The host computer connecting to the server has the user name "thinclient" and I use the name "user" to log in from the thin client. But it says "thinclient" already in use and disconnect my connection between the host and the server.
I am installing Window Server 2008 with file Services, and I am making my clients to save files to their documents folder but those files are being saved straight in the Server. I was wondering if It is better to save files direct to the server or save files in each client?

I'd like to configure a VPN with two SR520. the first router is a SR520-FE-K9 and it's at office, the second router is a SR520-ADSL-K9 and it's at home.
Each router have a static IP and individually works well. I tried to configure, by CCA, the office router as a server and the home router as a client: at home I can't see the office network and I can't navigate.
Need step by step, using CCA to configure a secure VPN.

Web server is behind Cisco RV180 VPN Router. Port 80 is forwarded to web server. all the rest is default. when web application requests user's host address, then it appears as coming from our router's local address (10.0.0.1). what needs to be configured so that RV180 would pass on client's original IP?
I have created Remote VPN on ASA5510 (8.0(5)) the Tunnel is UP and client machiches are able to connect to the VPN but not passing traffics between Server & Client.
