Thin Client Won't Connect To Server
Feb 28, 2011I am trying to connect some thin clients to a domain based windows 2003 server. This the first time mi trying to do this. If the computer is set to workgroup there is no problem. The problem comes up when its a domain based server.I keep getting the message that the user is logged in. The host computer connecting to the server has the user name "thinclient" and I use the name "user" to log in from the thin client. But it says "thinclient" already in use and disconnect my connection between the host and the server.

Mar 28, 2011I have a problem with a client/server app: It is a web application that resides in C:inetpubwwwroot (aspx pages) of the server. The client is a Windows app that is installed into Program Files on the clients and when running receives commands from a webservice on the server. When I install it on a PC on our own test environment it communicates with the server perfectly, no matter how many times I re-boot the client, the connection never goes down. When I give the client to someone on a separate domain, they install it and everything is OK. However, once they reboot the PC (Windows XP) the connection to the server fails. The can still ping the server from the PC, they can even see the web service is up and running by typing into a browser but the connection now fails. If I get them to uninstall the client all and re-install, it is fine again. As I say, it is a reboot that breaks it (communication to the web service that is.) My problem is that I am completley blind to the setup on the client-side of those I give it to (I only email it to them, I have only been in the site once). The PC is obviously on a domain (with static ip addresses I assume) but other than that i know nothing. I think it is something similar to the way when you map a drive in Windows and then when you reboot it has lost the connection and you have to re-map it.

The user are already able to connect to the ASA Server on its static outside IP obtaining an IP from a 192.168.21.0/24 pool. This works fine. But how am i able to connect to the 192.168.1.0/24 network from this client?
Can't Get The Server Network Card To Connect?
Mar 26, 2013I have a client using a Dell Poweredge SC440 server. About a month ago the system crashedfter some detailed checking I found it had burned some caps. on the motherboard. I replaced the motherboard & had to reinstall SBS 2003. Since doing this I can't get the server network card to connect. The machine does have 2 NIC's one for the server & one for the internet, neither of which will connect. I believe I have the IP address of both cards incorrect. Could someone tell me what the correct IP addresses (all of them) should be for a new install of SBS 2003? I know the IP address of the router & the service provider (AT&T), but these don't work. I do have a printout of the server when it was originally setup but it only give the server IP which is 192.168.2.1 I have put this address in the IP of the card but don't know what goes in the default gateway nor the perfered DNS

I always connect with a VPN first....and that went fine.Then - when I tried to map to a network drive, it wouldn't connect. I get error code 0x80070035.When I disable my AVG firewall, I'm able to connect perfectly.So, I'm guessing I have to create some type of rule for my firewall, but I have NO idea where to get the info with which to do so. On the router, you also have connected a server farm for your network and all the apps are stored there, say MS Word, Excel and such.Now, you have your network running, every ping comes out successful, so you know you did that part right, so the next part is to get the host use the MS Word or any other app in that server. How do you do that? Is there something that need to be configured on router/switch or is it with a software on your host? If its a software, whats the name of it and how you make it work?

Then i have 5 site to site VPN working fine but when im traying to access to those L2L VPNs from the remote acces client im not able to do that. So after that i decided to obtain IP addresses from my DHCP server so i can obtain IPs from my local network (172.17.16.0/16) and then access normally to the VPN site to site. But the surprise was that the VPN cisco client is getting local IP address (172.17.16.222) perfectly but im not able to access even to my local network.
I have the same-security-traffic permit inter-interface same-security-traffic permit intra-interface enable.
