View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I have two servers, one running Windows Server 2003, and one running Ubuntu 10, what would be the best way to 'map' one's drive to another? Either way is fine. They are each in a different state, and each have an external IP. I just need to do some processing on the Ubuntu server, then write the file either to its own drive, and have the web server (Windows) read it, or, have it write to the Windows HDD, and have Windows read it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 2003 standard machine with networking issues. the nic shows that it is connected and it received the correct DHCP ip from the router but i can't ping the router or any other ip on the network.i ran a TCP/IP fix, Winstock Fix, LSP Fix, checked the services that starts up, checked the startup programs, turned the firewall off, checked in advanced settings on the nic if the correct order is there. the funny thing is that in safe mode with networking it works like a charm but not when i boot in to windows normally. If i ping the router it just shows destination host unreachable.

I've got a Dimension 8300 which I loaded Windows Server 2003. I've looked high and low for a compatible network driver with no luck.
I've attempted to install WinXP drivers as I've read that it worked for others in the past... no luck for me though. I've also tried a number of different chipset drivers without any luck.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know now that this is a Desktop motherboard, officially not supported for Windows Server operating systems, but I would still like to get it to work. I've confirmed that the motherboard network works in WinXP (Intel 82579V Gigabit) and typically the 32-bit Windows XP drivers work on Server 2003 as well. Several of the other drivers have installed just fine, but the network driver install package fails with "No Intel Adapters are present."
I am trying to install Windows Home Server v1 (based on Windows Server 2003) on this box and just want to get a basic network driver up and running. I've checked the BIOS config, and Device Manager shows a yellow question mark by "Ethernet Controller". The ID is:

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have set up a wireless home network using ADSL with the following components: TrendNet TEW- 432 BRP Wireless Router Gateway Desktop with Windows 7 OS, iMac desktop with Leopard 10.5.7 OS Compaq Presario Notebook with Vista Home Premium OS Service Pack 2 I am able to connect to the network with all 3 but I have a problem with the Notebook. It is very slow to connect and sometimes takes 15 minutes or more to find the network. Once it is connected it works fine and doesnt disconnect, but if I have to reboot for any reason the same problem occurs. It does not appear to be a problem with the placement of the router and the signal strength which is "very good" to "excellent". I say "slow to connect (again)" because this had occurred before and I returned the laptop under warranty. HP replaced the wireless network card and it worked fine, but the problem has come back over a year later. I suspect that the card is not at fault and that the problem is elsewhere but I am at a loss as to what it might be.
