I have 2 internet connection with the same ISP, SmartBro 2mbps.We have 7 computer unit plus 1 unit that will serve as the server.Is it possible that we combine the two internet connection into just one LAN so that all PC's will see each other. My son and daughter-in-law use the wireless and I use the direct connect. M son added a router (which I have no idea what that does) and set up networking on his computer (which I also have no idea what that does). When I am the only one on the computer, it flys. When either of them get on thiers too, it slowes a little. When both of them get on, I might as well get off because it can take up to three and a half minutes to load a page.

Once the computer turned on i want the option of which login for the current computer to use, it can login it current computer or the mutiples computer with their content/data all inside. So more like an computer linked. Example, it can only to A or B, A is the current computer data, while B have all the data of the different computer monitor datas, and if i login B it will show that current computer info. And same goes to the B computer, i can login to A or B on the B computer. What makes this very good is that, both the computer logins are sort of connected, for example if im on actual computer A, but logined to computer B and downloaded/changed some files/data on the B login, once i login on computer B to login B, the changes will apply even tho the changes are done in computer A.

But when I try to access internet using both of my computers simultaneously it doesn't work - none of the computers is able to load a webpage. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the DIR-655 Hardware version B1, Firmware version 2.00NA and everything has been working fine for about 3 months. Lately the internet connection to all the computers would just stop. All the computers are connected to the router and the router is connected to the cable modem and their is no indication of a problem. The lights are all on and the router status shows the cable status as connected and the network status as established. I can't open any webpages, or all the ping would time out. It happens on all device, Windows Vista/7 PC, Mac computer, Linux laptop, and iPhone/ iPad. The problem gets fixed when I reset the router or just wait about 5-10 minutes and the problem goes away. That normally isn't a problem, but it's starting to happen twice a day now and it is really really annoying when I'm playing games. I tried the FAQ and searching the forums, but in vain.

Broadband connection is very slow and goes dormant even when moving mouse on web page to try to initiate applets. Computer locks or freezes constantly in between pages or when trying to open other pages on websites. Takes really long to try to do anything on computer when online.

I'm trying to set up a single web server in a DMZ using the RV042G and the docs seem woefully inadequate to explain how this is accomplished.
I've attach a picture of my setup..
I'm assigned a single Public IP.. in the example I've used 172.16.5.22 and so I've set the WAN interface for static IP.
The DMZ port is not obvious how to set up.. So I've chosen to define a private subnet and throw the web server in there. As I activate the DMZ, I specify a "subnet" and its address as 10.10.10.1, which I'm assuming goes to the DMZ/WAN port. I assign my webserver the address 10.10.10.3.
I leave the Access rules in their default condition.
I am a little unsure as to how to setup the static IP info for the web server.
Gateway: 10.10.10.1 ?
DNS: 10.10.10.1? or 172.16.5.1?

My first problem is that the webserver cannot access the Internet. I get a timeout when I open the browser. I've tried every address there as the gateway and DNS..

If a person on the WAN side is attempting to connect to 172.16.5.22:80, how does the RV042G know to send it to the 10.10.10.3 device? It doesn't know what address the webserver is assigned; I just gave it a 10.10.10.1 address as the subnet address.
I think I'm missing something, conceptually here.
Can, in fact, you use the RV042G in this fashion with only a single public IP address? There is almost no information on how the router actually routes traffic when you choose either 'subnet' or 'range' (where the DMZ is in the same subnet as the WAN)

Now I would like to start using the clientless VPN feature of the ASA, so I of course don't want that particular port forwarded to the server. Is there a way to define such an exclusion? I've tried several things, including setting up a separate NAT rule to direct that port back to the ASA's interface, without luck.
If that is not possible, what configuration would I need to move to in order to get the behavior that I want? It is important that all (non-VPN) traffic is passed exactly as it arrives at the firewall (whether it is coming from internal or external), with the exception of changing the IP address (i.e., I need static port mappings for some of my services).
I'm looking to implement a single proxy server for two different VLANs. Both VLAN have outgoing traffic configured through different ISP i.e. traffic for users on VLAN1 is routed through ISP1 and traffic for users on VLAN2 is routed through ISP2. Inter-VLAN communication is enabled. The proxy server should route internet traffic for users in VLAN1 through ISP1 and for users in VLAN2 traffic should be routed through ISP2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been watching my PC-s HDD for months and I saw that something takes up way to much space, yesterday I checked and Windows said that I have 160 GB Free / 883 GB But when I selected all files in my E: even hidden files and checked their properties / size, it said its only 440 GB. So I was missing another 283 somewhere in this partition. I used the windows cleanup tool and it gave me back some of the space, but it wasnt 283 GB. I checked and checked, then I found a program called WinDirStat which shows you how much space you have and stuff, then I found this: [URL]Then I found out that WinDirStat cannot access the System volume informations and this unknown is that. Then I googled stuff up again and found this:

1. To see the space allocated and used for SVI:
- Open Command Prompt with �Run as Administrator� option
- Type in: vssadmin list shadowstorage
- You will see Used Space, Allocated Space and Maximum Space for SVI
2. To see the restore information stored therein:
- Use in the same console command: vssadmin list shadows
3. To resize the maximum allocated space:
- Type in command: vssadmin resize shadowstorage /on=[here add the drive letter]: /For=[here add the drive letter]: /Maxsize=[here add the maximum size]

- You will see a prompt confirming resize done

BUT!At this part I HAD internet connection. Then out of couriosity I started my Virtual PC (win xp) to check if it has internet connection or not. And it has! Sometimes I can just unrestrict access, other times it's grayed out and I have to drop the DB and restart the services to take it out of single user mode.
