No Internet Access Computer Shows Connected?
Aug 23, 2012I see some other threads about this same thing but I wanted to start my own to keep track if what I did. I know zilch about computers.I have an ACER I got less than a month ago. I have Verizon mifi. Windows 7My comptuer says I am connected but it says no internet access. The wifi works fine on my old netbook though. I keep getting error 105 Unable to resolve the server's DNS address. What do I do?

I would like to remain connected to the LAN via ethernet (to provide easy connection to intranet and mail exchange server, but for outside internet connections, I would like to use a mobile 3g connection.

However, I happened to turn off the modem overnight and now my computer indicates (under Wireless Network Connection) that I'm connected, but above (under Currently Connected To) it says that I have No Internet Access. I tried turning off the modem, router and computer and turning them on again in that order, but that didn't work. Do I need to do the set-up again ?

The problem I have is that I will be setting up a home computer as a file server connected to the Motorola router. The network acts as though it is two meaning that computers on one router can't see computers on the other router. What steps should I take in order to make all computers accessible through both routers.When I type 192.168.1.1 from a computer on the Motorola router, I get nothing, when I type in my actual ip address, I get the Motorola router. When I type in 192.168.1.1 from a linkseys connected computer, I get access to the linkseys router.

I have also configured IPSec Cisco client VPN to the one which is plugged to 192.168.150.0.
I would like to know if it is possible for a client connected with the Cisco VPN to access the network 192.168.151.0 through the site to site VPN.

Sep 24, 2012I've installed Fortigate 60B and now need to provide access to our guests. Guests must be isolated from office infrastructure. For this configuration I've set up DMZ interface with DHCP server. Client connected to DMZ port gets DHCP configuration but can't go out to the Internet.
Internal interface:
Addressing mode: manual (10.0.0.250/24)

Dec 7, 2011Have tried resetting my DNS and have checked my firewalls, I do not know what is going on. I do not have another comp to copy and paste my info from the cmd. Ive also gone into settings and made sure it is automatically picking up the dns. When i go onto my google chrome is says my dns look up failed.

Internet Slow When External Antenna Connected On Computer
Mar 22, 2011I just realized that my internet is slow when my antenna is on top of my computer. I have a pci card with an external antenna connecting to it. If it's on top of my computer, my internet is slow, but if I move it three feet in front of it, it's fast. This makes me think that my computer is somehow blocking or conflicting with the signal. Is this normal, or is there something I can fix in my computer? Download speeds with the antenna on top are around 0.54Mbps, and if I put it as far away as I can, I get around 20Mbps.

Sep 5, 2012I have a server 2003 r2 machine connected on a LAN.the server is used for data storage and the local workstations use the data on mapped drives.When the server is connected to the internet ... all of the workstations on the lan partially lose the internet.When i ping google while the server is connected to the internet I get 50% to 75% loss.When I disable the LAN adapter on sevrer- alll the workstations on lan have 0% loss.When I enable lan adapter on server and configure tcpip and for primary dns i enter 1.1.1.1 ,I still get 0% loss,when I enter 8.8.8.8 for primary dns the problem persists/It kind of sounds like a virus on server causing very heavy traffic?
