I have noticed that my virtual-access interface comes up but the line protocol of virtual-interface remains down as follows:

Also The client PC picks up a random gateway of 10.10.10.1 which I never configured anywhere on the server.
I insert data from two clients.(1 window server 2003,2 XP clients ) the two client print paper and the printer is shared printer. At the same time two clients print paper and the printer stop working. So I restart my two clients and server. After restart the clients cannot ping to server.

A Windows Server 2008 r2 with 2 internet ports. One (IP: 10.0.96.132) connected to company intranet and one (192.168.10.1) as DHCP server connect to several PCs (192.168.10.**) through a switch.The problem is the PCs (192.168.10.**) can ping the DHCP server (192.168.10.1) , while DHCP server (192.168.10.1) can not ping (192.168.10.**).How to configure the server so that all these PCs can access the intranet?

I have acl for telnet which allows local pool IPs.I have acl to deny local network to local pool IPs for NAT.I've deleted the whole settings and re-run the wizard. It's still the same thing. I can connect from the VPN Client, but no traffic going through. The problem to me is isakmp with DPD. But why it is dead? Why no response from the server? If it is an error, why connection has no problem.

Users with the MAC OS X Anyconnect client can connect, they configure their Mac to use our proxy server, but the broswers will not work, clients can reach networks and resources behind the VPN gateway and have access to the Proxy(Tried a telnet to that hostname/port). I am running ASA 8.3(2), Anyconnect(OS X) 3.1.01065.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a VPN client running on a laptop connected a DSL circuit. The VPN client is configured correctly for an external address on another firewall, this external firewall passes through ISAKMP / IPSEC to an ASA where it terminates. The client authenticates and gets an address from the client pool (VPNCLIENTS – 10.2.16.x / 24) and the tunnel completes with no problems. From the internal ASA I can ping any internal network behind the 10.0.3.240 interface (INSIDE) and I have a route on the inside network to get to the 10.2.16/0 clients to point to this address (10.0.3.240). All good so far.
Now the problems begin. I cant ping anything from the VPN clients (10.2.16.0) network to anywhere, I cant ping any interface on the ASA or any internal network. I also cant ping the client from the ASA and therefore not from the internal network either. This configuration is bare bones configuration so I don’t even have the NAT exception rules added. Network diagram attached too.

I am having a weird issue with my Cisco 7200 router. From the router i am able to ping and reach out to the internet but from the client i am able to reach out to the internet but unable to ping I am not sure where is the issue but when i traceroute to it my packets are dropped at my routers interface. I just setup my home network with Pix 515 acting as my router/firewall but I can't seem to ping my internal PC from my ASA. I can access the internet and ping my Pix 515 inside interface from my pc but I can't ping my pc from my Pix 515. I can also renew/release IP's from my PC. I also did a packet tracer and it says that it was dropped due to an access list but I have one in place. Also my switch has the default config. Below is my config

It accepts connections from the internet and then it authenticates the user to a Windows 2008 Server via Radius.Everything works fine if I use the VPN client embedded in Microsoft Windows. Conversely, if I try to configure Cisco VPN Client, I cannot find where to define the PSK string.
View 3 Replies View Related i have a site to site vpn stablished, the vpn works fine (while is up), i have a cisco asa 5520 and the other end of the vpn is a jupiter device that for technical reasons needs to send a continuos ping and when it does not receive a reponse back it brings down the vpn tunnel and reestablish it again. while the vpn is up traffic flows perfectly but because i m unable to repond to the ping the vpn is brought down as reestablished by the jupiter device. the jupiter device pings the encryption domain which is an ip that is natted to the real ip in the inside network. this is my configuration of the vpn:
AAA.AAA.AAA.AAA is the ASA public ip in the outside
BBB.BBB.BBB.BBB is the jupiter device ip (part of the object group IP_LIST)
CCC.CCC.CCC.CCC is the nat ip on the ASA
10.21.0.164 is the real address in the inside(code)
I cannot seem to ping from the outside of my 5520 firewall to an inside network. I have a single physical outside interface connected to a Layer 2 switch, with a laptop connected to it. This is on network 10.11.131.0/28. From there, I cannot ping to the inside interface (which is a sub interface on G0/0) with network 10.11.130.0/24/ For some reason, it doesnt work.
Now. I had access-lists in place, but have removed them for testing and it still doesnt work. I have set the security level of inside and outside to 100, and entered the same-security-traffic permit inter-interface command - still no joy. Below is the relevant configuration.

I made the following changes Remove Access VPN > Certificate Management > Identity Certificates > Add Certificate.Then I made the following change.. Remote Access VPN > Network (Client) Access > IPSec(IKEv1) Connection Profiles > Connection Profile > Edit > IKE Peer Authentication > Pre Shared key and pointed the identity certificate to the one I created in the step above.Having made this change I am still able to VPN without a certificate configured in authentication settings.I was expecting that the VPN would attempt to issue the self assigned cert to client machine?

Now the clients at the branch are getting an application that is using an unsecured port (tcp/23). I would like to use a set of ASA 5520's that I have at the corporate office, with the AnyConnect license on them. I want the client machines to establish a tunnel from the client to one of these ASA's. The ASA' then would have a connection to the VLAN that the receiving server is housed on. The trick is to just establish the tunnel from the client to the ASA that will allow the IP of the client to not be translated. So I would use the ASA as a security 'pass-through' for the clients that use this new application.

Inside host (192.168.1.20) is translated into (198.24.210.226) using static NAT.From outside host, I used "PING 198.24.210.226". Is it because I used dynamic PAT for inside hosts?

I got 2 x 5520 ASAs configured in active/standby mode and they are connected to 2 x 4500 switches in which too configured for failover.Telnet to ASAs is allowed only via subnet 172.18.0.0./24
I can only ping and telnet to the active ASA from subnet 172.18.0.0./24 but not the standby But i can ping and telnet to both the active and standby ASAs within the 4500 switches.
