For access by external users on our network use all Cisco VPN Client, we have a VPN3000 Concentrator and a Cisco ACS 2.6 for authentication.We wanted to upgrade to the latest release of ACS 4, x .... you can set a password expiration for VPN Client? Or make sure that the remote user can change password?

I have the AnyConnect connection profile configured to authenticate users using LDAP over SSL. I enabled the password management and am able to get password change prompts to appear in the AnyConnect client. However, new passwords are rejected and changing passwords through that prompt does not work. I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is, since LDAP over SSL is enabled and working, which is required for the password management feature
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've the following scenario VPN Concentrator is connected to a router which is connected to a router and at the edge Cisco 515E PIX is connected to the internet. The problem is that the normal VPN Dial-up connection (a utility of windows) are getting connected but Cisco VPN Client throws error 412. Here's what I've tried (Initially groups and user were created):
(1) Allowed port 10000 on PIX ( access-list from-outside-coming-in permit tcp any host <public ip> eq 10000) and checked IPSec over UDP on VPN Conc. under Mode Config tab. Also checked IPSec over TCP tab under tunneling panel at port 10000. Tried connecting through VPN Client but it threw error 412
(2) In the reference guide, I read that IPSec over NAT is allowed on ports ranging from 4000 something to 40000 something.
I tried 33333, both on PIX and VPN Conc. under Mode Config tab but still no use. Same error 412.
I can't seem to find out how I can generate a PCF file for a new remote vpn SW client? I have a VPN Concentrator 3000 series.

I recall in Cisco 3000 VPN client when the connection gets established there is a registry value (TunnelEstablished) being set to 1. But with AnyConnect I don't see any changes in the registry. how to detect this in C++?

I get a message saying "Establishing VPN - Repairing VPN adapter", then it crashes and reports: "AnyConnect was not able to establish a connection to the specified secure gateway. Please try connecting again."
I have an old VPN 3000 Concentrator that I do not have any idea what is running on it. The previous network admin didn't leave a password for it, so I tried to reset the password. I was successful in doing so, but when I try to access it with the default of admin/admin via web browser, I still cannot access it. I am loathe to remove or power off this device without knowing what is on it.

I have noticed that under the Device Change Audit list under the configuration dashboard. LMS lists the wrong user for the last change. For example. User ABC performed a change on a switch yesterday but switch shows user XYZ has performed the change.
e.g.
SwitchA
! Last configuration change at 16:27:06 AEST Mon Aug 15 2011 by ABC
User XYZ then performs changes on switchB, switchC. These show up correctly. but the change on switchA shows user XYZ instead of ABC.
User XYZ has never logged into the switchA in question.
Ive changed the IP address of a laptop to connect to the router with IP 192.168.15.1 but now want to change the router IP address from the defaul to another subnet, so that it is accessable with other workstations on the LAN, but I could not readily find the option to set the Ip address on the router.

I also wanted to add addiontal users. The help indicates there is a User List Add Entry option but from the Administration bar, the left hand menu option shows User Management & User Privileges options. On User Management, it is possible to change the 2 default user names, but I wanted to leve them and create new ones.

Even if you use the correct IP, no user can't connect anymore to the device. Also via CLI!The only thing that worked was the password recovery procedure. After that everything worked fine.The customer and me tried it again with another 2960, maybe there went something wrong when he did it last time and it was an accident. Nice thought but no: another device same error, no login possible.

I am having periodic problems, especially with clients connecting through DSL, where they connect and immediately drop. Sometimes this is resolved by users updating their home router firmware. I'd like to issue a new client PCF file using IPSEC over TCP to see if that resolves the problems.
Can I have both running at once, and what do I need to add to the 2900 to enable this connectivty without breaking the existing clients? If the test is successful, I will migrate all users to the new configuration. This ISR is also used to support L2L connectivity for a handful of sites.

1. Is it possible to push routing informations to the System running the VPN Client ? A the moment all traffic is routed to the tunnel but we like only one route to the network permitted with "pool ..." in the "crypto isakmp client configuration group NAME" section.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe're running ISE 1.1 for guest services. We use Active Directory for Sponsor Portal login, as well as for administration of the ISE itself. Our corporate policy requires a password change for service accounts, and the service account password we use for ISE to connect into AD expires in a few days. So I changed the password on the account, but how do I tell this to ISE? I don't see anything in the documentation, only some references to only use non-expiring accounts to connect to AD. This made me laugh. If our corporate policy was that lax, we'd never have purchased ISE.
1) Is there a way to communicate this to ISE? Or is leave and then join the only way? Will that even work?
2) I see that after the password change, ISE continues to work fine. Does it only synch with AD periodically? On reboot, or every X hours? Right now things are working, but I'm afraid as soon as I turn my back it will stop.
I have just started supporting a client with a Cisco 1760 on site. They also use the VPN on this device. I can get to the web interface but for the life of me I cannot find out where I change the VPN password. They just terminated an employee and I need to do this.
