Cisco WAN :: 2851 Test Multicast Between Two Sites Connected Over WAN

I am trting to test multicast between two sites connected over WAN...SIte A is connected to Site B with DS3 link with ethernet output.The DS3 link is connncteted between cisco 2851 router at each end.At Lan SIde Cisco 2851 router is conncted to Nortel-8600 Switch over ethernet connectivty at both end.PIM is enabled on Nortel-8600 core switch with Sparse mode and multicast is working fine within LAN.Same is the result for both sites.
Now we are trying to make multicast work over wan in which PIM is enabled on both lan & want interafce of cisco router with sparse mode and multicast is enabled globally...now both the routers are making neighbourship with respective lan switches and with each other but multicast traffic is not flowing.In cisco router Mroute is not coming for the multicast group defined in core switch.

Attached setup i am planning for testing multicast output from different vendors using VLC and STB. This Setup made to test the picture quality between the vendors at the same time on the multi viewer screen.
1) Only a 2960 Gig port switch with only one L2 v lan with IGMP snooping enabled.
In this scenario where Source and receivers are in the same L2 v lan ( no L3 interface is involved) hope i would able to test all the multicast sources with out any additional configuration on the Cisco switch.

We are trying to test multicast between VRFs configured on Nexus 7Ks. Two Nexus 7Ks are configured for VPC. Multicast Server is in one VRF where as Receiver is in another VRF. The two VRFs are connected to each other via Checkpoint Firewall (Active/Active cluster in unicast mode). All routes have been established and connectivity tested between multicast server and receiver using ICMP.Using, windows mcast.exe multicast stream is generated from server (in one VRF) intended to be received by receiver (in second VRF). Every time, only one multicast packet is received by the receiver and rest all packets are being dropped. Server and Receiver are VirtualMachines configured on VMWaresame chassis which is connected to two Nexus 5Ks (VPC configured).

We found out that only local multicast ip address range is not passing between the sites, any other range is passing, local range is 239.0.0.0 and above.
We have two different datacenters, the internal switch is 2960S (Stacked) with 1-10 vlans and the external switch is 3560E, the external switch is adding another tag (qinq, dot1q), vlan 611, and send the packets to metro line to the other site.
on the other site we have the same configuration.
internal switch from site A is configured with igmp querier and the internal switch port on site B connected to the external switch is configured as mrotuer port.
multicast and igmp is passig between the sites, but the local multicast range is not passing, igmp filterring is configured on all port but no profile is defined and no ports are filterred, on the external switch igmp snooping is disabled.

I would like test multicast routing with cisco1801.i create 2 Vlan. Vlan 200 (192.168.200.x) affect Fastethernet 1, Vlan 130 (192.168.130.x) Fastethernet 5.

I used VLC for my test.When i connect source (224.10.10.10) and recever ( Udp://@224.10.10.10:1234), that's ok!But, source is on the Vlan 200 and reicever on the Vlan 130, is not good!I test with "sparse-mode", i have same problem.

Our client has MPLS connected all sites. Each site has a router connected to MPLS via serial interface, and connected to the switch (6500) via ethernet interface. There is QoS applied on the serial interface for outbound.
It appears there are lots of inbound traffic coming to the site, and the client applied QoS on outbound.What I learned that after the packet are marked by the CPE, the ingree Provider Edge Router (PER)uses these marking to map flows to various Label Switched Paths (LSPs) providing differentiated treatment accross the network. Then at egree, the PER applies queuing policying based on the CPEs orginal DSCP markings to properly allocate bandwidth on the egrees link during congestion. My guess we really don't need to have inbound policy applied in the serial interface on the router, am I correct?
The serial interface has 1.5 MB, and the goal is we want to have 1 MB for cirtical apps, and 0.5 MB for download/upload internet access. If we apply this policy on the switch, A) should I apply it on the VLAN interface or the port connected to the router?

I have 3 sites. Each site has a Cisco 1841 as its WAN router with a 10Mb direct internet access circuit connected to Fa0/0. The sites are then connected to each other via site-to-site IPSEC VPN. (The LAN switches in use at each site are Cisco 3750 series) [code]
Now, Site A has already been set-up with VoIP telephony. The plan is to extend this to the other 2 offices.Auto QoS has been set-up on the switches and data and voice VLANs created in the same way for each office.
how should/do we extend the QoS for the voice over the WAN to ensure voice quality remains for site to site calls. And what special considerations do we have to make for it being IPSEC VPN connectivity between the sites? The actual IP telephony system itself is being set-up by a 3rd party and not a lot of information on their requirements has been forthcoming so far – essentially all we have really been told is that they would like us to “reserve” a certain amount of bandwidth for the voice traffic between each site.

I am having trouble with my wireless connection. I am only able to visit websites but if I try to use the internet for anything else (AIM, Yahoo instant messenger, etc), it will not work. This is not a modem issue because my other computers' connections still work fine.

About a week ago my mom (unknowingly to me) installed a registry "booster" (Uniblue Registry Booster) and as expected, it messed some stuff up. As soon as she finished scanning and it "fixed" all her registry issues, she could no longer load webpages in her browser.PC was running XP at the time of the corruption, none of her system restore points work, and unfortunately her automatic backups had stopped running about 2 months ago without me knowing. She's been planning to switch to Windows 7 soon anyway so after a few days of trying to find a solution and not having any luck I thought "well maybe if we upgrade it will unintentionally fix some files / settings during the install." Going from XP to Windows 7 was no fun task itself, but after many hours of installs I had it upgraded to Vista and then to 7.

One of the customers has deployed Cisco 7609S in their infrastructure for Branch/RO connectivity. When we tried to configure per-tunnel QoS with DMVPN for MPLS connected sites, we came to know that Cat 6500 and Cisco 7600 series routers don't support this feature.
Now, we are looking for suitable replacement of Cisco 7609S. I found a document for configuring above feature on Cisco ASR 1000 series routers, but it has many restrictions always.
We are now looking for
(a) suitable platform in the league of Cisco 7609S which support above feature.
(b) suitable technology replacement of DMVPN with minimum restrictions.

i have a adsl modem tp link td 8840, and i had this up and running well for about 3 days. then we decided to get a router cause my little sis got a ipad2.the router is dlink dir 61.so basically i followed all the instructions and the internet was working fine.then for some reason ign site stopped working, i thought that it was down for some reason and didn't think much of it and today when i tryed to go into hotmail or facebook it doesn't work either. so i can get into the log in pages of both, but when i put in the id and password, the screen goes blank and just says waiting for .... on the bottom (using google chrome).and it never loads.i tryed with other internet browsers and it din't work so i took out the router and re wired the adsl modem only and voila. all the sites started working again.i want to use my router but i don't know why i can't acess some sites when i have it connected.

Question re: DIR-655; Hardware ver A4; Firmware version 1.32NA
During bandwidth tests to several sites (principally speedtest.net) I get ping times of 10-11 ms, download speeds of 12+ to 17+ mbps but failure on upload tests using my DIR-655.
When I bypass the 655 and test directly with my cable modem, all (including upload) tests work reliably and consistently.
I have swapped the two ethernet cables involved as well as replacing both with new cables but the results are the same (uploads fail with 655 and work without it)
I have seen several postings over the the last year with this same problem but have never seen any comment from D-Link, or a solution from any reader.
Not that it should have any bearing, but I have TA785GE-128M motherboard and am running Windows 7 (patch current) on COMCAST
is this problem acknowledged by D-Link and is there a solution?

I try to pass multicast traffic between two vrf on the same 3750 switch. I have IP services IOS and sdm template routing.
here is my config:

MY ISP installed one router in my lab.for internet connectivity they mail me steps :connect your Laptop directly to gi0/3 port to check internet connectivity with public ip 1.1.1.x and Gateway 1.1.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.240 after connection I surprised because I am able to access only google sites like gmail,google search etc. but I am able to ping/traceroute all sites.from browser I am able to access only google sites only.In Router no firewall no such access list.

We have a Cisco 2851 router that crashes every night. Below is the 'show log' output. The provider is telling us that it is our equipment. We have replaced the router and still have the same problem. Is it our equipment or the provider?

Do I need to obtain license keys/files when upgrading a 2851 to IOS 15.x? I'm getting a bit confused seeing the documentation that says 1) IOS has gone to a universal image and 2) that feature sets are unlocked based on the installed license.
I was able to download a feature specific IOS image for the 2851 and it did not bother me about licensing upon boot up.
I read one post on here that stated 2800/3800 series (G1) do not have to worry about the licensing piece and that it's just 2900/3900 series (G2) hardware that require it.

I seem to be having an issue getting a 3xT1 bonded solution to work. I can get 2 out of the 3 T1s to come up and pass traffic, but I can not get the third one to be added to the solution.

Up to today I used Verizoon 4G to a Windows Visata box running Internet connection Sharing to get my home lab connected to the Internet . All was working well.
Today I had Hughesnet come and installl their service and I can no longer get access to the Internet from my PC netowrk. my VPN to my office for my IP phone coomes up an works just fine. At the router I do have Internet access which then leads me to believe that my problem is NAT related.
My router is a 2851.
When I enter PING 4.2.2.2 I get !!!!! but when i enter PING 4.2.2.2 SOURCE 192.168.69.3 I get .....

I have a Cisco 2851 (with a 4 port switch module) that I am trying to set up with two different internet connections, and have it route traffic out to them based on the source IP. One connection is a 50mb Comcast connection, another is our T1 that our servers are hosted on. The goal is to guide server/phone system traffic to the T1 and have the rest default to the Comcast. I currently have the 2851 connected to our Layer 3 switch (Dell Powerconnect 6224) with a subnet created between them. Static routes have been created on the 2851 back to all of our existing subnets. Traffic flows internally without a problem between the subnets and 2851 (and vice versa). I set up the 2851 with route-map's in the NAT to control the flow of traffic, with the default route set to the Comcast connection. Default route works great, speedtest shows full speeds and everything looks great. The problem happens when I apply my route-map policy to the internal LAN interface with the ACL list of IP's that I want to guide to the T1 (with a next-hop of the T1's IP address). I tested some tracert's and pings from one of the IP's in this list and they would stop at the T1 modem and not go any further. I did a "show ip nat translations" and noticed that the "outside" portion (right half) was blank for every IP that was in the ACL or related to the T1. So my guess is it looks like this is not doing NAT for the T1? I double-checked that I had my "ip nat inside" on the LAN interface and "ip nat ouside" on the T1 VLAN interface and Comcast interface and they were there.

I recently obtained a 2851 and have been battling this issue for a week now. An odd set of circumstances happen with the bootstrap startup process. If the router has loss of power or when reloaded; it fails to read the CF card and boots to rommon. I can tftp an image to it (tftpdnld -r) and IOS CAN read the flash card along with any saved configuration.In fact once in IOS, I can wr mem and print the hardware details of the CF card. Once I reload the router it goes to rommon, fails to open the flash, then sits until i tftp the image back. When the router load IOS, it also loads the startup config.I don't think it's a problem with the CF card as IOS can read it. I've tried formatting the card from IOS and from my pc as FAT, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS - it didn't make a different. I updated the ROMMON to allow for USB booting but haven't purchased a USB Drive yet for testing. The upgrade didn't resolve this issue either. It almost seems like a firmware problem with the EPROM.
