I need to open a port in a Cisco 2911 router to permit the conexion to an equipment that is inside the LAN, but I my configuration doesn't workt. I have 3 interfaces configured: two WAN interfaces (one is a backup of the other) and a LAN interface. The configuration is this (public IPs are changed):

I am using Cisco 2911 router , i configured remote client in that . i need to provide the static ip to the remote users instead of providing from the dhcp pool. is it possible? if it is how we can do that.
I have a Cisco 2911 router and a Cisco 2960 switch at a remote location.I have a user who will work out of this office a few days out of the week and will need to obtain the same IP address everytime the user visits this office. This office has no file server, no dhcp server. I have the user's MAC address and for now, the user is getting an IP address that is leased for 30 days. I'm trying to find the best way to configure either the router or switch or both so that each time this user connects to this office, that user device will always pull the same IP address and of course no other device will use that IP.
I've did some research in creating a small vlan possibly, and assigning it specifically to the port# that the user's desk is at, but not sure if that's the best way or exactly sure how it'll work. I'm currently studying for my CCNA so this is all new to me and I'm trying to do research and test without obviously causing production issues especially given this is a remote site and I access these devices via putty. I can however drive to the site if needed for testing, but I'd like to have a good grasp on what method I'll be using that will work before I actually make the trip.
I am having one router CISCO2911/K9 (Cisco 2911 w/3 GE,4 EHWIC,2 DSP,1 SM,256MB CF,512MB DRAM,IPB). But now my management asking me to upgrade this router as CISCO2911-SEC/K9.
Today I installed the 1.0.2.6 Firmware on a RV180W. I only have now two problems regarding the Static DHCP support in the GUI.
1. Via the Networking > LAN (Local Network) > Static DHCP I have no buttons to Add a new static Lease. 2. Via the Networking > LAN (Local Network) > DHCP Lease Clients I can thick a Lease and click on Make Static IP. The result is an error: Operation failed.
I have made a test lab on packet tracer with three routers in triangle shape after each router i connected a switch with on each switch four end devices . now i want to make a routing table on each router, but the probleme is that each time i get an error "invalid next hop address ( its this router)". i am sure its the right gateway i type in .
I did some testing in WLC in our company wireless network.However, after my 3 hours testing, I had tried to login WLC again by GUI and SSH. The admin username and password does not work any more. All Read only and Guest Account did not work as well.Is any one had this issue before? Is there a restriction for access to WCL per 3 hours or one day? By the way, I did not change any password.
I have a small problem with a lot of invalid syslog messages in LMS 3.2. Something about 30% of all messages are invalid.
Is there any posibility to get out from which devices those messages are?
Is it a big problem for the application if there are such a lot of invalid messages? I have a lot of devices in my LMS and don't want to get high load because of such unneeded messages.
I have a small workgroup at home of about 4 or 5 computers. All the PC's, notebooks are running W7. I have one PC that I use as my "always on PC", with all my media and resources I use on it. The NetBIOS or computer name assigned to it is mediapc with a static IP of 192.168.254.150. All my other desktop PC's, excluding the notebooks, have a static IP also.The problem is more annoying then anything, and thus I only work on it intermittently. Today I decided to post after wasting much of another day attempting to resolve the issue.The problem is accessing my mediapc from any of my other computers while using the computer name, "mediapc". If I use the static IP assigned above, there is no problems. Everything works, RDP, Dameware, Telnet, SSH, Ping,Tracert, etc. If I use the computer name "mediapc" then it fails with an unreachable host error or similar. The reason it fails is because somewhere in my network or in the mediapc itself, it wants to resolve the "mediapc" name to an unknown IP of 192.168.254.47.
Now with this said, I can still share files and access the mediapc using the name in a UNC syntax, like //mediapc/data works fine or directly clicking on the mediapc share under Network works also. If I Ping mediapc from any other PC than itself, it fails with the 254.47 IP. If I try to use any remote connection software and use the name mediapc, it fails to connect.This is what I know and have tested:
1. Adding a host entry to all the client computers works but does not fix the root of the problem.
2. nslookup mediapc reports the wrong IP of 254.47
3. Remote connections as I mentioned above fail because the name is resolving to an invalid IP.
4. Pinging mediapc from itself, displays the correct IP of 254.150, although I have to use the -4 parameter.
5. Arp -a on all PCs report correct IP of 254.150 with the correct MAC address. (There is no 254.47 listed)
6. NBTstat -a mediapc reports correctly and shows the correct MAC address.
7. Network shares work correctly from and to the mediapc without issue. No access problems.
8. I have deleted all arp entries and flushed the dns with no change.
9. MS mentions to change order of the Bindings of the adapters, yet I only have one Local Area Connection.
My PC says "invalid IP address" when I try to connect. It says the IP address is 00:00:00:00. it only does this on the computer but works fine on all our laptops. I've been googleing solutions and i have tried the 'ipconfig/release' and 'ipconfig/renew' but this doesn't work. It just comes up with a error (I think its because the computer cant connect). We use a Belkin wireless connector. Its windows xp.
I was trying to get into the router the other day and it gave me invalid password consistently. I have hardware version B1 and firmware version 2.00NA. This had been working fine but this along with remote desktop no longer work.

This wasn't the case on the previously use ACE software.To my recollection the command show script code has worked successfully before on the same ACE software. I am setting up a new ASA. Actually it's an old 5510, but this is a new temporary install until the one we ordered comes in. Everything is working except for SSH. I have SSH open on the inside and outside interfaces and I get a prompt when I try to SSH to it from either the inside or outside. But after I put in my username and password it tells me that my credentials are invalid. I am using a local username/password, not AAA and it accepts that username and password for the console. Console and telnet (password only) both work so I can get in to make changes. When I debug SSH, the error states that my username and password are incorrect. But this happens even when I create a new, simple username/password to test. I've even gone so far as to copy/paste the username and password into the login window just to be safe (making sure I don't copy spaces, etc). Below is a copy of the SSH Debug output followed by a sanitized copy of the config. I have AAA configured for remote VPN users, but not for access to the ASA. Also, this problem existed before I created the AAA settings for the VPN users. Also, I have zeroized and regenerated the RSA keys a couple of times to no avail. [code]
We purchased a Cisco 541w router for one of our customers.
The main reason was to provide them with 3g backup solution for their business.
In order for the router to recognise the 3G router the firmware was upgraded SRP540_1.02.01_023_081211_1136.
We arrived on site last night to do the install but couldn't make any changes to the already configured router. Every time we attempted add a vlan or adjust the dhcp scope the router would return "The values are invalid".
Worked at this for over 1 hour and then decided to factory reset the router to see if that would revert the router to use the original firmware.
This didn't revert to the previous firmware but we magically could now make network changes without problem.
So everything was good, we reconfigured the router, tested 3G and failed the wan1 interface back and forth and the customer was very happy.
Customer arrived onsite this morning and the router was running on 3G. Every 8 - 10 minutes it was attempting a failover between connections.
I decided to turn off the failover for the time being and investigate further but yet again i was back to "the values are invalid"
We've had to pull the router as the customer is about 2hours away and revert back to their BT router.

I am having some problems with my AnyConnect configuration.I have configured AnyConnect (ssl vpn / webvpn) on my Cisco 1841 Router, and I can access it from a web browser and start the tunnel, then anyconnect starts up and then the problem come, because when AnyConnect is trying to connect it comes with an error saying "The certificate on the secure gateway is invalid".
I have read almost all of the threads in here about the problem also tried to make a new certificate, but nothing is working?
My laptop running Windows 7 has been fine until this holiday, connected to a hotel wifi that "trapped" the broswer and requested a login and password. That worked fine, but now I cannot access any other wifi networks.It sits for a while after entering the code and then has limited access, running the troubleshooter it says that I have no valid IP address?Tried IPCONFIG /RELEASE and it is saying "No operation can be performed on Local Connection 2 while it has its media disconnected"
My son ran some program that he didn't know what he was doing and now there is no Network access. As far as I know this is what caused the problem, but I'm not certain. When I tried to reinstall the drivers an errors pops up stating that the drivers couldn't be installed due to "Invalid Access To Memory Location". The networking card is an Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Connection Adapter. The Networking card is part of the Motherboard. I have the original drivers but they will not install due to the "Invalid Access To Memory Location". Anyhow my son went and bought a new networking card, and it gives the exact same error. I tried uninstalling the networking card in the device manager, but when the hardware is reinstalled, and the drivers are about to install it gives the same error. computer is a Dell XPS 420 with 6 gigs of RAM, an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600@2.40GHz Also in the Device Manager everything under the Heading Network Adapters has a Yellow Triangle with an Exclamation mark in it. I know that this means that there is an error somewhere. I also want to add that when I checked the Netgear GA311 Network adapter card (this is the new card that my son bought)in the Device Manager it says This Device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (code 31).
I'm trying to setting up a Linksys AM200 in routing mode, with static ip (WAN), but when I insert 2.113.120.209/30 ip and subnet, a popup show up and sais that the ip si not valid. The same happend when i put the address in local side.
I put the same configuration over another different device and everything goes fine.

I have a 5510 using AnyConnect VPN clients. I have a DNS name for my router to accept connections ie cisco.mydomain.com..I can ping the address by hostname from the clients machine ok but when the AnyConnect client opens it has my hostname ie (cisco.mydomain.com) but says "invalid host entry" I have to type in my IP address for it to connect.I have the hostname in my AnyConnectProfiles.xml.

These are all coming from the same IP Address which is running Windows 7 Enterprise X64 using a WIRED connection.
i just deployed Cisco NAC version 4.8.1 Virtual Gateway OOB on a LAN envieronment and on a WLAN envieronment, it works fine for some users , they can authenticate via the agent or web page, and then they are redirected to the access vlan, But for some other users in LAN and WLAN , when they try to authenticate via agent or web page the following error appears:
Invalid switch configuration-OOB Error:OOB client "mac/ip" not found.
I tried to find some pattern for the users but it dont match any pattern.
