Then show ver on my router 3825 lists the below. Technically speaking the below should have the 64M flash required right? Why again it shows as 62592K and not 64000K?

This problem may occur when a network that you are trying to detect a slow link to is configured to control the size and flow of Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) packets. For example, if a router allows for only ICMP ping packets that have a size of 1,024 bytes, the slow-link detection feature may flag the connection as a slow link. This is because the router discards ICMP packets that are larger than 1,024 bytes. If the router discards the packet because it exceeds the allowed size, fast links may be reported as slow links.
According to Microsoft, the default ICMP ping packet size of 2048 is used.Microsoft recommends changing every single Windows machine's ICMP size...but my customer would rather just change the router. It is a 2821 router, running 12.4(24)T4, using MLPPP to bundle two T1s.
I have an odd problem with the FTP server. I currently hooked up a 250GB portable HDD which is formatted in NTFS. A single folder in the root of the drive is mounted as the FTP server. Every time I upload a zip or far, the file comes out ends up being uploaded corrupt and double the original file size. I have used 2 FTP clients, using either ASCII or binary. No matter how I go about it, I can't make the files upload at the normal file size. Its not just archives, however, I tried an mp3 and it too got uploaded corrupt and double the size. I then downloaded the mp3 to try and play it but it didn't play in windows media player. However I loaded the 'corrupt mp3 into audacity and the file played like normal.

Would there be any reason why a universal image wouldn't stack correctly with other switches running the single .bin file?

We use a 3825 router to screen alot of the junk from the internet side or our firewall. Its worked well for the last 4 years buthas rebooted multiple times in the last month for no apparent reason.At this point I think I would prefer to replace it.Our current internet link is 100Mbps and this router handles that quite well. Is there an equivalent that I should replace it with, or should I just buy another 3825 ?One with an OOB management port would be nice.

We are planning to put a 50Mbps point to point metro Ethernet circuit between two 3825's and run encryption over that line. I just want to make sure we don't max out the router as I remember once a customer maxed out a 3825 with a ton or GRE tunnels and the router crashed every time they did their nightly data dump.

We have a cisco 3825 router with OS version 12.4 and one VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 card at Slot 0. Now I have to add one more card of the same type in the router.
I need to know the steps or process to add the the 2nd card in the router.
we have a Cisco 3825 router which does not work well with a DSL modem(ISP provided). I have configured the Gi0/0 port of the router to plug into this DSL modem but it does not ping to the ISP gateway. If we do a shut/no shut on the interface then it work fine for about 30 secs. Sometimes even for 1 hr. Then the packets drop and we cannot pass any traffic through this interface.
Now, if the ISP connection is terminated on a computer it works fine. It works fine without dropping any packet.I have tried various options like using a straight/cross cable. I have tried to configure the interface negotiation for 100/full, 100/half, auto/auto and almost all the options.I have also tried to interconnect the devices using a L2 device like a HUB. Nothing works.
I am trying to copy a new IOS image to a 3825 router. I have verified that there is significantly more free space in flash than is needed to accommodate the image (83 MB free, new IOS is 34 MB). I have also verified that the router has the necessary hardware requirements for the new version of IOS, though it is a moot point with this issue. When I try to copy the image from either TFTPd32 or the Solarwinds TFTP server,the copy gets to about 97% and then shows a mixture of timeouts and out-of-sequence packets (.'s and o's) before telling me the copy job timed out. I have tried bumping both the "timeout" and "max retransmit" on TFTPd32 to 2-3 times their defaults, but it made no difference. The router and my laptop are connected to the same 3550. I have also tried two FTP servers but all I get is "Protocol error" on the router when I try to use either. I see the following in the TFTP debugs: [code]
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two 3825's. Each has it's own ISP connection. Nat is configued for both. They have an ethernet connection between them and I'm running OSPF between the two so the routes propogate. I have qty 11 Dialer interfaces configured on each router (each router has an exact copy of the other routers dialer interface). However, I only want the Dialers up if the ISP connection on the mated router goes down. Much like HSRP I need one to preempt and be active if both ISP connections are up. When one goes down the other Dialers must come up. Each dialer sends a Dynamic DNS host name and IP address pair to DynDNS.org. So I cannot have both up otherwise the DNS names will bounce between ISP#1's IP address and ISP#2's IP address (back and forth). Let me know if any option exists to make this happen. As an aside the ISP's are providing me DHCP addresses so I cannot work off of an IP, it has to be the physical interface (i.e. Gi0/0).

I have a switch4500 12.2 and a router 2801 IOS 15.1 and this device work well with the WhatsUp but these devices have the same configuration.I see diferents ouputs when I use show ip flow export, this output is for a router that work well with WhatsUp. [code]
My SIP provider is not convinced that my ASA and Edge Router is not altering the SIP packets. On the ASA I've removed the inspect SIP, and H323, what else needs to be done to make the firewall not mess with the SIP Traffic.

On the 3825 Its jsut a pretty simple config that jsut routes packets form one interface to another, all Public Addresses, so no NAT on it.

I have a 3825 router running 12.4t IOS. I installed DSU/CSU part number HWIC-1DSU-T1 in the router and it does not recognize it. Is this the right card for this router? Is there anything I can look at to determine the issue? I think the router only has 32M RAM. Below is a show hardware. Card is still currently installed.

I've got a 2621XM that has not been used for a while.Completely stripped of any modules and configuration files, the router will continually cycle the startup process without actually booting from the IOS.

2) Running the command "boot flash:c2600-is-mz.123-20.bin". If I enable the diagnostics via rommon, the cycle expands to:

If it wasn't for the lack of error messages, I would assume it was a hardware issue.If the image was corrupted, I would expect a message indicating that the image couldn't be read.
I have two 7206 VXR routers with the VPN Service Adapter either side of a leased line (i.e. no provider between, pure layer two connectivity)A requirement is that traffic traversing the link is encrypted so I've configured an IPSec VPN between the two endpoints.During load testing we noticed a very severe performance hit when the VPN was enabled, disabling it again saw we were able to use almost 100% of the 1000Mbs line. The performance hit looks to be due to the increased MTU size when using IPSec, possible due to fragmentation.
I've read that the 7206 VXR can support 980Mbs (or there abouts) of throughput using AES providing the MTU size is 1400.Configuring this manually on each server in each data centre isn't feasible.As the link is effectively a point to point and we have control over the MTU size between the two routers, what options are available to increase the performance when the VPN is enabled?

I must to buy an advanced license or I only register and download which image I need?
