Cisco WAN :: 7200VXR - What Is Exactly Current Throughput Of Device

Jul 10, 2012

I would like to know what is exactly the current throughput of device? How can we calculate if the device is reaching it's throughput?

For example if router 7200VXR has maximum throughput of 520 mbps as per Cisco documents.

How can we measure if the traffic going through the device has reached maximum throughput. Is it the traffic only inbound traffic or the total of invound/outbound on all physical interfaces?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: ASA 5520 - NAT Capable Device With High Throughput

Jan 26, 2012

I'll have to replace an old WS-C3550-24. Reasons for this: EOL/EOS & we'll need a NAT capable device...

As I understood, the only L3 catalyst that is able to perform NAT is a 6500? Is that correct? If the above is correct, it seems I can only replace the setup by using a router/ASA with a L2 switch. A router with high throughput (+/- 300Mbps) is hard to find, especially as NAT will require CPU resources...

So, my best (affordable price) solution is getting an ASA5520 (450Mbps FW throughput) and a L2 switch?

Is there a keyword that we use under the interface to specify that it is purely management?

We need to assure that the subnet and any node on that subnet is not shared with the default routing table.

how do we set the gateway for the management interface if the node we are sourcing the ssh session from is on a different private subnet?

Cisco WAN :: 7200VXR - BGP Advertising Default Route In Mutihomed Network

I have Cisco 7200vxr doing BGP with 2 directly connected ISP's over ethernet. I am receiving default routes only, and have added a higher weight to my routes learned from my primary ISP. below is my configuration (ip addresses changed of course)

router bgp 100 no synchronization bgp router-id x.x.x.x bgp log-neighbor-changes network 100.100.64.0 mask 255.255.254.0 network 100.100.71.0 network 100.100.78.0 mask 255.255.254.0

Advertising my rotues to the primary ISP is fine

However, advertisements to the secondary ISP inlcludes the defautl route learned from the primary 7206vxr.rb#sh ip bgp neighbors <ISP_B-IP> advertised-routes BGP table version is 7, local router ID is x.x.x.x Status codes: s suppressed, d damped, h history, * valid, > best, i - internal,               r RIB-failure, S Stale Origin codes: i - IGP, e - EGP, ? - incomplete

How To Login To Multiple Computer With Current One

Jul 22, 2012

I currently have mutiple computers at my place. Once the computer turned on i want the option of which login for the current computer to use, it can login it current computer or the mutiples computer with their content/data all inside. So more like an computer linked. Example, it can only to A or B, A is the current computer data, while B have all the data of the different computer monitor datas, and if i login B it will show that current computer info. And same goes to the B computer, i can login to A or B on the B computer. What makes this very good is that, both the computer logins are sort of connected, for example if im on actual computer A, but logined to computer B and downloaded/changed some files/data on the B login, once i login on computer B to login B, the changes will apply even tho the changes are done in computer A.

Cisco Routers :: RV180W Worthless With Current Firmware?

Feb 3, 2013

Having just installed a new RV180W router for a customer last week, I am beginning to regret my decision to to go with this model. Issues are as follows:

1. Users connecting via VPN can not browse web or receive email until the disconnect from the VPN.

2. Internal users experiencing very slow web site access and page lockups (speed test shows a good 15MB connection rate)

3. No clear setup for an isolated 'guest' WiFi network.

All of this happened as soon as I replaced the old, stable RV042 with the new RV180W.

Cisco WAN :: 1921 To Replace Current Router Which Is Constantly Freezing

Jan 18, 2013

I have a Cisco 1921 to replace our current router which is constantly freezing. We have a couple inside servers, one is a web server and application server which needs to be RDP'd to by a couple of clients outside of our network. I cannot get this to work no matter what. I know it's not the server's setup as when I plug the network back into the old router, it works just fine.

All clients have access to the internet, and I can successfully ping/resolve hosts from both the router and a client computer connected. I cannot, however, rdp using neither our public IP, nor our hostname. The hostname does resolve to our ISP assigned IP, but the server cannot be contacted, leading me to belive this is a NAT issue. Cisco Firewall :: 3560X Gateway Address For All Of Current Devices

Jul 18, 2011

I have an AT&T Router that is my gateway to the internet, I have no access to it.  I do have the inside ip address of it which is on my private LAN.  Just for shiggles we will call it 10.25.240.1 255.255.248.0.  That is my  gateway address for all of my current devices.I have this shiny new ASA that I want to throw in there to eliminate a proventia and a sidewinder.

The diagram shows two stacks, these are my virtual server clusters with 3560X switches with the vlans configured, and several more switches all configured with vlan 832,  connected to a 2950, which is connected to my internal 2600 router.  I have 4 Vlans running on 4 different ip ranges, all controlled by the internal router, with only one vlan, let's say 832 that is trunked to the outside world.  That vlan has 172.16.1.x 255.255.0.0 network attached to it.  All is well, and traffic is routing behind the internal router, but I cannot seem to figure out how to get the traffic to pass thru the ASA.
