How do I remove "ip cef accounting non-recursive load-balance-hash" from the config. I'd like to leave the box as I found it. Is it to do with an authority level or something more?

Mar 22, 2012I am unable to remove an access list. Currently this this access list contains 4 lines of remarks. I was unsure if I was entering the command correctly and now I have 4 lines of "trash" that needs to be removed.
Symptoms:
The "sh run" command shows that I have access-list 100 defined.
The "sh access-list" returns nothing.
Process I have tried: config t
no access-list 100
no access-list remark Test (just trying anything at this point)
clear configure access-list 100 (This returns "Invalid input detected at '^' marker" and the '^' is under the 'e' in clear.)
So the "clear configure" command is not working. The "no access-list" commands does not return an error but does not remove anything.
What step am I missing? Let me know if I can provide any more information.

May 20, 2013we have made migration from CISCO 2821 to ASR1002-X.Cisco router is used as LNS for our ADSL links, using L2TP protocol. On 2821, everything worked fine. Migrating with same config on ASR1002-X, everything worked except L2P sessions.
We wanted to debug but no debug is displayed about L2TP or PPP in console with commands :
- debug aaa authentication
- debug aaa authorization
- debug radius
- debus vpdn l2x-events
- debus vpdn l2x-errors
- debus vpdn l2x-packet
- debug ppp negotiation
- debug ppp authentication
We don't understand why no debug log ??? Is it a bug in IOS XE ?show vpdn session all and show vpdn tunnel all gave "%No active L2TP tunnels"

Cisco :: 6500 - Unable To Get Configuration
Dec 5, 2011We have an issue with our 6500 catalysts.
We are regularly seeing the error above on our cat6500 devices when executing a 'sh run ' command:
We've seen this error for quite some time but the frequency seems to be increasing up to the point where it becomes problematic now because backups and other automated actions are failing regularly.
We don't see multiple processes with the commando "sh config lock" at that time. But when we do a "sh users", we can see sometimes multiple users.
I supose it is possible for multiple users to do a logon at the same time, but not make changes at the same time.
We are using IOS s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI7.bin. It seems that all switches with these IOSses seem to have the problem. But in the bug toolkit I can't find any reference to a bug...

I have one router (router 1) on ground floor which gets internet from the modem. That router is then plugged into the LAN port of a wireless router upstairs (router 2). My laptop is then plugged into another LAN port on router 2. This allows me internet access as intended. But I'd like to log into the the configuration utility of router 2. But when I type the IP address of router 2 into my browser (192.168.1.1), it takes me to the configuration utility of router 1. Router 2 is out of the box--I haven't done any configuration to it (for example, changing its static IP address).

But I could not get port GE1 on vlan 100 to ping to anything on GE26.It only works when i change it to 100UP... BUT the rest of the vlan ID (101) will still unable to work.
Yes. i need multiple vlan on a single port as I am running Virtual machines on the GE1 and GE26 is an uplink I need all vlan to communicate from GE1 to GE26. Is this possible?
Unable To Clear Startup Configuration / NVRAM
Aug 14, 2012I was working on a Cisco 2600 series router earlier today running IOS 12.4. I ran into an issue where I could not clear the startup-config. I tried:
router#erase startup-config
router#reload
router#erase nvram
router#reload

each time IP addresses and things got cleared but other aspects did not which should have been. In the nvram there were several files:

Aug 8, 2012I have the issue of being unable to access my router configuration page. My standard gateway IP (83.226.48.1), does not work, resulting in "unable to connect". If I try with my IPv4-adress, it just comes out with a blank page (Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer).

I have a Cisco 891w router with the following software (main and integrated AP801 wireless AP):

Opening a connection to integrated AP801 wireless device for performing wireless configuration tasks, the connection is established OK, authentication is passed OK using credentials from main configuration file, gaining level 15 privileges with enable command, but after that... no way to enter "Global Configuration mode" because there are no "configure" family commands present!!! Simply can't say "Conf t" because there is no such command!

Apr 1, 2013I've just received a Cisco 1801W router (pre-owned), which I'm going to be installing in our school, and I have been unable to figure out the details of the wireless configuration.The 1801W router is replacing an old basic Linksys WAP54G router. I'm hoping to configure the 1801 for basic DSL, with the WiFi configured with a single SSID, using WPA-PSK authentication with a hard-coded pre-shared key on the router. We do not have a radius server available at the school.
I think I have the router set up properly for DSL with NAT and DHCP for the internal network (192.168.1.x). The router's E0 interface uses 192.168.1.1, and the dialer0 interface will receive an IP from the service provider (ISP). The only thing I'm missing is the wireless configuration part.

Oct 17, 2010I recently bought and installed a WAP4410N access point (using PoE) and it's running stable. I was able to access the web-based configuration by using the IP address of the AP (something like 192.168.0.184, coming from the DHCP of my router). However, I'm unable to access the web-based configuration using the host name of the device (mentioned next to the device name in the basic setup section of the web-based configuration). I changed the host name several times, but I can't connect to the device using the host name. Accessing the device by its IP address works, but I have to check the logging of my router to find out which IP address I have to use. Is there a way to access the device using the host name?
(I think my WAP4410N has firmware version 2.0.2.1 installed)

ERROR: Command authorization failed.
I am unable to make any configuration changes on the firewall. Is there any default user through which I can log in and disable the aaa authorization ? if not, how can I resolve this situation ?
Unable To Access Wireless Adapter Configuration Page To Update Firmware?
Oct 25, 2012My internet connection is fine but I really need to update the firmware on my wireless adapter. I have no problem accessing the router's config page. I ran ipconfig to get the adapter IP (screenshot attached/192.168.2.104). When I type the IP into the browser I get the "cannot display webpage" msg. I have tried turning off the power to the router, disabling Norton's firewall (I disabled Norton completely), and nothing works. Do not tell me to restore factory defaults on the adapter because I tried to get to the configuration page of another wireless adapter I have and am having the same problem.
