Is it possible to configure multiple ISPs  in 3560? and  These ISPs traffic should be forward different vlans & different ports. i need configure port wise DHCP also and using different ip addresses please, which device supports this application

Looking to replace an "all-in-one" type firewall (UTM/Firewall, SSL VPN) with a cisco product - the issue i'm running into is that we have multiple ISPs plus WAN and DMZ - overall more than 5 ports on mid-range ASA devices - and from what i read, adding 4-port module precludes me from adding CSC module.
 
Is there an solution to that other than going for 5585-x model? (kind of over our budget, granted we need 2 for failover)

Scheduled Load Balancing With Multiple ISPs?

Friend of mine has a setup out in the sticks, currently with two ISPs: Hughesnet satellite, and a line-of-sight WiFi provider; they're also getting a cel tower within range soon and he's looking at adding an HSPA/LTE connection via that as well.the first gives him a static IP and ridiculous speed and bandwidth at night... but far less speed and a painfully low bandwidth cap during the day (you go over, you pay through the nose).

The second gives lots of bandwidth but poor speeds (difficult to even watch a YouTube video) and a constantly-changing dynamic IP.The third, once implemented, will give him good speeds and decent bandwidth (I believe up to 10GB/mo) but again, will get spendy if he goes over that limit.Right now, I've got him set up with both routers plugged into the same network, multi-homed the NICs on his machines (192.168.0.* for Hughes, 192.168.1.* for LOS) and a little script on each computer that will change the default gateway to let him select which ISP he wants to use... however, it's going to get trickier with a third, and will make it even tougher to keep track of the bandwidth used on each one... especially with multiple computers, a DVR, and two users.

So I'm looking for some way to automate all this... something that will, say, use the HSPA feed most of the time for his whole home network, switch to LOS if it gets near the cap, and switch everything over to the satellite automatically during "unlimited" hours. Again, I'm not opposed to setting up something PC-based with the appropriate software, although for my own sanity, it would really need to be Windows-based (I'm way below n00b with Linux).

what you're doing to load balanace internet traffic?  I'm interested in load balancing internet traffic (outbound -AND- INBOUND) using multiple (at least 2) ISPs.  Some of the methods I have used in the past have certain weaknesses.. basic DNS load balancer (relies on multiple IP addresses per host), OER/PFR (ability to control INbound is limited unless complex configuration and coopearation with ISPs)...  This is kind of a broad open ended question.. It seems like something that would be a common issue and am wondering what other are doing with the capabilities 2800, 2900, 3800, 3900 series routers..

We have plans for multiple ISPs and need to pick the correct device/architecture for that. single site: 3 ethernet hand offs (1 From ATT Fiber/10Mb pipe via their managed router, another one from ATT via Copper T1 via a separate circuit & managed router and the 3rd/last from Cable Modem/Comcast)
 
1.WAN hand off from another ISP from I will use ASA 5510 (already have) to use all the above 4 as inputs and then use the internal interface of the ASA 5510 as the default gateway for all the employees to browse the internet etc. so that1. If one one or more of the ISP lines die, we continue to operate (albeit lower bandwidth)

2. Also, we take advantage of the added bandwidth (even though it may not be the arithmetic sum of all the above).

Our HQ Location dont support high bandwidth pipe served by ISP, so will go ahead with 3 different ISP at 2MB each.Goal is to provide Email / Application access to Remote office using site to site VPN.In Total will have 10 to 15 Branch offices each with around 25 to 35 users
 
Each ISP will give

/29 subnet of public IPCopper Interface for WANdefault Gateway and Two DNS server IP will be provide Existing hardware we got are Cisco 2821 Router with 2 FastEthernet ports ( not in use )24 port switch 2900 series ( not in use ) Can we use the above hardware to terminate all 3 ISP link and use the Router for site to site VPN.

Our Lan Core is Cisco 3560 which is uplink to 3X2950 user switch?how should we terminate the link and use each ISP for VPN.

I am a fairly basic configs that I just can’t figure out what I am doing wrong.  I have what I would consider a fairly basic config that I just can’t seem to get to work and I am sure it is something I am just not doing or grasping.   Basically I have two 3560 switches that I would like to connect together with four 1Gb ports and trunk four vlans across said port-channel, I created the port-channel and set it to switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q I then set all four ports to channel-group # mode on.  With that setup I can’t ping from switch to switch on the nonnative vlan.

I have an ASA which is managing internet access from mutiple VLANs configured on a 3560 switch. I want to be able to limit the 100MB internet connection on the ASA on a per subnet (VLAN) basis for the multiple subnets configured on the switch..
 
so for example
 
VLAN10 - 10.0.10.0 - limit to 5MB
VLAN20 - 10.0.20.0 - limit to 10MB
VLAN30 - 10.0.30.0 - limit to 3MB

We have 7 3560's in 7 different locations connected to our providor for wan access.  Our provider has given us a copper cable at each point and we have connected it directly to our 3560 switch at each location.  Each port is configured the same way at each location.  Each switch is running eigrp.All of the switch ports on each switch are configured as a trunk and vlan 299 had the ip address for the eigrp connection: [code] This setup is working as each switch see's all of the other switches as an eigrp neighbor.  We have also made sure that the switch at our head office has spanning tree priority for vlan 299.
 
So the problem is, if there is a change in the topology at one of the locations it usually causes one or more of the other connections to go down for some reason.  We just cannot pinpoint what is causing this change.  There are no log's or anything other than an eigrp hold time expired message.?

We have a customer that is relocating thier headquarters. They have a temporary requirement to bridge multiple vlans or a router T3 link to the new location as they cannot change the IP subnets. Setup is  3560 switch connecting to a 3845 then T3 to remote 3845 and 3560. I need to bridge multiple VLANs. I have seen a good example on how to do it over sonet but I don't see how to translate that to an HDLC or Frame Relay encapsulation for the T3 Link.

Currently all the cisco phones are connected to this switch and configuration with only one vlan that is voice vlan .
 
1) what is the outcome of this configuration , i mean, what will be the expected output ? end of the day we need to prioritize the voice traffic but why other commands including threshold and buffers are mentioned with respectives queues , if I need to explain that what am i expecting out of this configuration ?
 
2) this is LAN QoS which i understood but again , do i need to configure policy-map along with class-map which is MQC on this switch ?
 
3) i have edge router where i have MQC already configured but confusion with this switch which is working as a Access switch .

4) I referred the cisco QoS document for the respetive model whereas we have policy-map configured on the same switch with class-map .

My understanding is if we have configured the LAN QoS , and mapped the CoS value with DSCP , we need not to have MQC.

I have one Cisco 3560, and it is connected to Firewall...I already turn on the ip routing, which is able to do interVLAN..In 3560, the static route is 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.2.2
 
3560 (port 1) =====> Firewall (port 1) ======> Internet (WAN)
192.168.2.1                192.168.2.2
 
Which mean... anything from 3560 will be rote to Firewall port 1 (192.168.2.2) and all the user behind 3560 will able to connect to Internet (WAN).
 
I want different setup now, I'm trying to configure another port (port 2) from Cisco 3560 connect to Firewall port 2...
 
3560 (port 2) =====> Firewall (port 2) ======> Internet (WAN)
10.1.1.1                     10.1.1.2
 
I want subnet 10.1.1.x route to different gateway (10.1.1.2) to Firewall go out to WAN... and not using 192.168.2.2 gateway to WAN.

1. I selected Configuration > Workflows > VLAN > Configure Port  Assignment.
2. Selected my device (a test switch WS-C3560-8PC-S)
3. Clicked List Ports
 
All ports were listed, port Fa0/1 has only a native vlan, the ports Fa0/2 - 8 have native and voice vlans (auxiliary) configured manually.
So when I want to configure the voice vlan for Fa0/1 the voice vlan is set as the native one.
Is it only possible to configure the native vlans with the VLAN Port Assignment of LMS 4.0 ?

I'll start out with the fact I work mostly with Wi-Fi and not a lot in the security realm... If I plug my workstation into the 3560, my wired client adapter can get an IP address.  But the WLAN adapter will not when associated to WLAN.Usually this is not a problem since you may only have two access points on the controller and a dozen or so hosts.  In my case, however, I want to put a few of the ports on the 3560 into the same VLAN as the WLAN on the 2106 so I can give them the same guest access as the WLAN.  The hosts plugged into the 3560 get an IP address without issue from the ASA.  When I disable dhcp proxy, the WLAN clients get an IP address, but then the APs cannot get an IP address from the internal DHCP server on the WLAN controller, and  cease to function when rebooted since they cannot get to the controller without an IP address.
 
Any way to configure the ASA to accept the modified DHCP packets from the WLAN controller?  It appears to me that the ASA is not able to accept DHCP relayed packets.

We have one core switch and we are planning to add a 6509.  Both are none VSS.All the access switches are Catalyst 3560 series.
 
We plan to have all 3560s to have a link to each of the core. Without VSS, it is not possible to etherchannel to both core switches correct?What protocol should I configure to prevent in case one core fails? HSRP, VRRP, GLBP?
 
Do I need to run spanning tree protocol? if so which one?What is the best way to connect from each Catalyst 3560 for load balancing and redundancy? One to each core?

I am having problems accomplishing these tasks with my new SG 200-18.
 
I have a LinkSys WRT54G2 connected to port 1. I would like ports 2-8 to be in one VLAN with access to the Internet and to be able to share their printers, hard drives, etc. with other computers on ports 2-8. I would like each of ports 9-16 to be on a separate VLAN with access only to the Internet and no other ports on the switch. I would like to be able to manage the switch from any of the ports 2-8.
 
After I create the VLAN 1009 (see screenshot below), port 9 can browse the Internet and cannot see the other ports on the switch which is correct. However, ports 2-8 can no longer access the switch at 192.168.1.20 in order to manage the switch.

I need to configure a WAP4410N for use on a small, very simple business network.  There should be a corporate WLAN and a guest WLAN.  The corporate WLAN should allow anyone connectd to it to access resources on the domain.
 
In front of the WAP is a cable modem/router and a basic Level 2 (web managed) switch.  What do i have to do to segregate the corporate and guest networks.
 
I thought I would add the corporate WLAN to VLAN1 (assuming the default VLAN in the switch is VLAN1).  Then I figured I could create the guest WLAN and assign it to VLAN2 which which will be controlled entirely by the 4410N (DHCP, DNS, etc.)  Does this sound like the right way of going about things?

At our organisation our routers all have at least 3 BGP peers, each from a different connectivity provider. The different providers that we use all have different internet transit CDRs. Is there a way that I can configure a priority for the 3 BGP peers on our routers so that outbound traffic to the internet is sent to the BGP peer from the provider with the highest CDR?
