I've been looking for a way to create an internet usage agreement page, but have been striking out..looking for users to initiate an http session, get proxied to "user agreement page" upon approval their http session is allowed.

Is there any solutions to this?

I'm having a problem with the memory and also trying to create some rules on the CISCO ASA. The version that I got installed was the 8.2.5.33 on a CISCO 5520 with 512 RAM, the memory usage is on 99% used, 1% free and because of that when I'm trying to create a new rule the firewall brings me the next error..So what I did was a downgrade to the version 8.2 (4) 4 and the memory went down a little (82% used, 18% free) but I still got the error when I'm creating an access rule on the device. One thing and I'm not sure if this could affect on the performance are the number of access list and the object groups that are created.
I already open a case with CISCO TAC and they are checking if the problem is with the memory capacity or maybe a memory leak.Also the doubt that I got is with the memory that I got now available should I can create access rules or 82 is still to hig to create a rule or and object group?
I was in a pub the other day. When I tried to use their wireless I was directed to a webpage to enter the password.I am a web designer and want to make a funky login page, not for a user ID. Just to enter the password to my wireless.How do I do this? Im not aiming to make my system more secure.

So i decide to turn off my wifi and see what happens, there has always been this weird wifi connection appearing whenever my wifi appears, then afterwards when i turn off my wifi the suspicious wifi connections disappear. is this possible that someone is using our wifi? i might just be overreacting but it has brought me to concern that if the usage continues my family will have to end up paying over $30 for extra internet use. it is very frustrating me because when i check my DHCP client table it only shows 3 connection, ethernet - my desktop which is not turned on, 2 wireless connection - my laptop and my sister's laptop.

But they don't tell how many kilobytes are too much, and they also don't tell, how much of your "kilobyte budget" you have spent already. So I want to be able to monitor my own internet activity. However, all the programs I found so far watch the whole traffic going through the network card, which, beside the internet usage, includes LAN and mail server communication, which don't count. So, I'm looking for a free portable program that can monitor specifically my browser's internet usage, i.e. the number of kilobytes sent and received by the browser application. It is imperative that the program should be portable, or at least installable without administrator privileges, because I don't have that.

Recently i am running out of bandwidth, and what i am looking for is a freeware that i can install in one of the computers that could tell me which IP or MAC address used how much internet.I have read several articles: some articles point me to softwares which only monitor the computer that they are installed. Other posts argued that such thing can only be done through the main router. I know my router doesn't have such feature. I use SMC router.

I have been trying to find a way to monitor my internet usage so I can make an informed decision on ISPs. one has a cap but allows ESPN3, the other is the opposite on both accounts. everything I have been finding look like good products however they all look like they are for an individual device. I have about ten devices and not all would have the ability to have these programs on them. I have and old xp machine that really is only good as a paper weight, If I had to I could make it a proxy but before I do that and create a major bottleneck I wanted to see if there were any other options

View 2 Replies View RelatedA short while ago, I had my data backed up onto a new HDD, as the old one was showing signs of failing soon. When I got the computer back, I noticed a problem where I need to constantly hit "Diagnose" in the Wireless Network Connection Status to get my internet working again. When it gets into this stage, several websites continue to work, I don't lose my connection to them. Some websites I can still connect to without a problem. However, many websites, even google, keep giving an error that the host could not be found. It appears that it stops accepting new connections until I reset the wireless card. My Laptop (using wireless) and other PC (Connected directly) have had no issues at all with our wireless router.

After the login, default page should be "Home", but if activating "Anyconnect". it always goes to Anyconnect as a first page. If disabling "Anyconnect" using SSL VPN Customization Editor --> Portal --> Application, it always goes to the other one. Never get "Home" as a first page, can I set the first page manually?

View 1 Replies View Relatedfirst off I was trying to change my ip address to dynamic from static, turns out I cant manually, anyways I was messing around with the configuration on my modem page (192.168.0.1) trying to enable dhcp because I know that if it shows that its not enabled yet I get my ip address automatically, it means my ip is static. I enabled a few things like netbios over tcpip and such and something to do with dns routing but I cant recall all I did and in what order because I can no longer get into the config. page and I cant connect to the internet and when I use command promp to renew my ip it says "an error occured while renewing interface local area connection... unable to contact your dhcp server and also an error occured while releasing interface loopback psuedo-interface1 : the system cannot find file specified.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the past weeks, I've been experiencing NOT to able to 'access' Home Page on daily basis. It occurs exactly 'once a day,' often early morning but sometime even in the middle of night. For this to resolve, I need to unplug a black cable connecting to Router and plug back in to 're-start' Internet connection. This pattern happens after having replaced a brand new modem and router, saying a Modem has an issue diagosed through the phone of my ISP.
With an older modem, however this, .... 'disconnection once a day' never occured. The tech guy told me 'signal' is OK, but there are 'too many computers' in my household. However, my ISP, Comcast allows us to use 5 different PCs, then the tech. guy's diagnose did not correspond to this at all.
As to 'multiple PCs,' we, the family never use more than 3 PCs/Internet at a time. Most of time, we use only two PCs for surfing and e-mailing/photoes. Two other PCs are a sort of 'back-up' puposes ONLY.

When I type in the IP adress into my IE adress bar (192.168.1.1), it says it cannot connect to the internet.
I checked if all cables are correct alot of times, and reset it a ton of times, but no luck.
i'm having an issue with a computer on my home network (Windows XP Professional SP3, latest updates) where i can't access the Internet or even the router on my home network (which it is part of).if i look at the network connection (wired) under control panel it shows as connected, and it's set with a static IP address (always has been), so nothing looks out of the ordinary there, yet if i try opening Internet Explorer i just get the "page cannot be displayed" page, and i can't even ping my own router- request times out.I've tried connecting a wireless adapter that i use on my laptop every day.. it connects to the wireless network no problem, but still the same results with IE and pinging the router.

I downloaded some updates for windows and restated the laptop for them to take effect and now it won't get back online for anything. I even restored the computer to the previous settings. All I get is the error message "Internet Explorer can not display the web page. I am running windows 7 ultimate.
