I recently decided to change things around so I recently went in the router and attempted to access the Storage page but all I get is a blank page with this address http://192.168.1.1/storage/Disk_Management.asp.

Oct 3, 2011For the past weeks, I've been experiencing NOT to able to 'access' Home Page on daily basis. It occurs exactly 'once a day,' often early morning but sometime even in the middle of night. For this to resolve, I need to unplug a black cable connecting to Router and plug back in to 're-start' Internet connection. This pattern happens after having replaced a brand new modem and router, saying a Modem has an issue diagosed through the phone of my ISP.
With an older modem, however this, .... 'disconnection once a day' never occured. The tech guy told me 'signal' is OK, but there are 'too many computers' in my household. However, my ISP, Comcast allows us to use 5 different PCs, then the tech. guy's diagnose did not correspond to this at all.
As to 'multiple PCs,' we, the family never use more than 3 PCs/Internet at a time. Most of time, we use only two PCs for surfing and e-mailing/photoes. Two other PCs are a sort of 'back-up' puposes ONLY.

Aug 23, 2011i'm having an issue with a computer on my home network (Windows XP Professional SP3, latest updates) where i can't access the Internet or even the router on my home network (which it is part of).if i look at the network connection (wired) under control panel it shows as connected, and it's set with a static IP address (always has been), so nothing looks out of the ordinary there, yet if i try opening Internet Explorer i just get the "page cannot be displayed" page, and i can't even ping my own router- request times out.I've tried connecting a wireless adapter that i use on my laptop every day.. it connects to the wireless network no problem, but still the same results with IE and pinging the router.

May 14, 2012I have a home LAN. It has a Linux server with a website that I'm building. I can access the website from the LAN side, but not from the WAN side. I have port 80 open on the router and to the static IP of the server. I know the WAN IP of the router and I keep it connected so that doesn't change.From the WAN side I can access the server's Apache default web page via the IP in the URL as "http://a.b.c.d" but I can't get at the website. I tried "a.b.c.d/abc.com", "a.b.c.d/abc", and " a.b.c.d/ www.abc.com" but all I get is 404 - Not found.what is the proper URL syntax that let's me get at that website?

Dec 5, 2011I sometimes am forced to use my computer at work to set-up wireless networks for employees who move into temporary apartments. Now every time I am at my home, my computer, ipad, and iphone keep redirecting to comcast home activation page. The problem is the home activation page that comes up is for one of the apartments I set-up for my employer. It seems to be stuck on the final steps of this other persons comcast set-up and I cant get it to go away. I have a Linksys router with a secure network. It shows I am connected to my network, but when I try to get on-line it send me right back to Comcast activation page for someone elses account. Countless calls to Comcast have gotten me know where. Since the final steps of the comcast activation involve downloading desk top software, and the ipad will not let you download desktop software even into dropbox. It has made my ipad useless when I'm at home.

Second question when will MACs be able to auto start smart tunnel when the user first logs into WebVPN? Right now the only way I know of starting a smart tunnel on a MAC is a link on the main portal page. I am running code 8.3.2.13

This controller hosts an open public wifi that requires users to accept a terms agreement via a Web-Passthrough setup that redirects them to the terms splash page. For most people this works without any issue. However, if a user has their homepage for their default browser set to a https site, such as [url]..., then they are never redirected to the terms splash page. The page will just spin and spin until finally they get a timeout error.

The computer I have set up as my media server (Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit) is randomly losing network/internet communication. Now, I say communication and not connectivity, because I can still ping it from other computers on my network and I can still ping websites from it (via IP address or name so it doesn't appear to be a DNS problem). But I can't pull up any actual webpages when this problem is going on and none of my media services will connect to the PC. I can't even pull up my routers admin page from the PC while this problem is going on (but I CAN ping the router).

He cleared the ARP cace and rebooted the ISP modem; still the Cisco Router would not get an IP address. However when I went into the router, I noticed that there were many log alerts. In this scenario all my mail service sites are opening.If we apply the these ACLs and Class-Maps, only my mail service sites only affecting.

Dec 17, 2012I have a TAC on this, but thought I would throw it out here too. We recently upgraded a 5520 to 8.4 code so HTTPS traffic can filter through the CSC. Well, it takes several attempts to pull up any https pages. Cisco thought it may be hardware, so I swapped out the CSC, but before I go through the hassle of moving licnese, I brought a second ASA with CSC, which prior to this was their main ASA running 8.2 code and did not have issues, of course HTTPS did not filter through it either. the exact same thing happened on this ASA. So apparently it is not hardware related. One other thing I found, if I bypass https, it still happens, and the only solution is to shut down the CSC module. Now I think it may be the ASA policy that while not the cause, but is being difficult. I found that if you pull SIP inspections out, and reapply them in testing voice issues, you must reboot the ASA for them to work again. I am wondering if this is the case with the HTTPS traffic not releasing from the CSC even with the ACL having it removed. I need to try that next.
