Is it possible to get a time and date stamp on the image when using the FTP on a schedule? The time and date stamp is shown on a live video image on pages 20 and 21 of the manual but I'm not seeing how to get it on snapshots.
View 3 RepliesI just got my ea4500. the 50 Mbs from Comcast was killing my old wrt54gl. the thing where cisco connect and access thru the web interface step on each other, or when the web interface does not expose all the settings is annoying. because i didn't want a guest network, i had to go back to Cisco connect. and things did not work well. i ended up re-doing the whole thing, because i did not want a guest network and wanted diff settings for 2.4 and 5 Ghz.and logging after so many years and Linksys still does not include a date/time stamp for the events. logs without date/time are not very useful.
View 6 Replies View Related2 days ago bought 2 dlink 930l camera's. Everytime a reset or reboot the camera or maybe not even reboot the date and time for the camera is far away, so it is not saved. I am not using yet a ntp server because i don't now which one yet.

All my other settings seem to be working (and staying) but unless my camera is on all the time, it reverts to 01-01-2011 with a 12:00 am time once I plug it in. I only hook the camera up during the day while I'm at work, so I can keep an eye on my older dogs. I'm not able to view the live video at work (ActiveX issues) so I tried to set up an email schedule so I would be sent pictures.
As a last resort, I went through the wizard set up one more time, thinking I missed something the first time around, but that didn't work either. I am not impressed with D-link support so really don't want to call them unless I absolutely have to.
The DCS-930L provides no date & time on video stream at mydlink, but does display those when accessing on the LAN. Is there a way to force the date/time tag to show over the web? Otherwise, remote recording might not know when an event happened?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI realize that this is a new product, but nevertheless I have some feedback after running my 4 new DCS-930L camera over the past few days.
Currently, you can configure the camera to EMAIL/FTP images on a schedule or when motion is detected, but not both.
Why does it matter? Because I get flooded with email alerts after I get home from work and later in the evening every time I walk by one of the cameras or whenever a light switch is turned on/off.
If I could configured the motion detection to only alert during a specified schedule of days and hours, it would be great!
Last night, I lost my NetFlix connection. It was no biggy, I just restarted the Cheers episode that I had been watching. This morning, I checked the DIR-655 log and the following is what I had found (date and times aren't accurate).

Promiscuous Mode is usually the result of sniffing according to Wiki. Whatever is promiscuous mode. Also, I don't know what device br0 is. I do have my Brother wireless printer connected to the DIR-655 but it's device name is BRW0022581FB096. I was wireless at the time of connection problem, and the wired computer connected to the DIR-655 had been off.
I have a DIR-825 router connected to my cable modem. The 2.4ghz constantly goes down but not the 5.0ghz. Our wireless devices will see the connection but we are unable to connect.We only have one device that uses the 5.0 and multiple devices that use the 2.4 and none of them can connect.I am currently running firmware 2.02. I also notice that the time changes and I have to reset the time/date.I have tried rebooting the device, resetting the router, changing the network key, updated the time/date, renewed the DHCP...I don't know why it keeps going down, why the time/date keeps changing, and why I cannot get the 2.4 working.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using my new DCS-930L to monitor motion at a door entrance. It is firing off when motion happens but the image it emails is taken @ 12 seconds after the motion. So the result is I know motion happened but the person who came to the door is long gone or through the door by the time the image snapshot is taken. I get multiple emails containing images of the empty entrance. Is this a software, hardware, firmware or user error issue?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a E3000 with newest firmware that has a VOIP by Velcom. It's a Grand stream HT–286.My device is working perfectly with the router. Can call and recieve calls. the caller ID (Name and number that appears is accurate). The only problem is the caller ID's time and date are always wrong.When I unplug device, it goes back to Jan 1 and time 12:00am.Any call I then get is wrong.
In the router, I've enabled SIP ALG. And the firewall is only filtering ident (port 113) and Anonymous Internet requests.The device has a hard coded internal IP (192.168.123.110). and I reserve the IP using mac filtering.The device has an administration page that is unavailable to users as it's locked by a password. On this page has an NTP server setting that the device uses to get it's time/date.I see on the information page of the device that iot's registered to a sip server.The company is saying that it's a firewall issue. I'm not too sure how to proceed.

I did select GMT -8:00 Pacific Time, and also the "Adjust for Daylight Savings time) So, the above time SHOULD be displayed as 2011/09/03 Sat 20:53:36 (-07:00) If the intention is to show the difference from UTC/GMT. I tried the newer version but it's broken big time. :-( I could not use it at all. None of the configuration changes I made would "stick".

Every restart/powercycle causes them to reset to Dec 31 1969. Other settings save fine.I first tried to set time via SNTP Unicast using a variety of public time server addresses including the 3 hard coded to the SG200-08 firmware:

As the subject says... Sending logs using "On schedule" option doesn't work. I have my own personal email server I used to test this. When the router time reaches the defined "Start time" nothing happens. I tried both time formats (12h, 24h). The router does NOT initialize the process of sending the email. I see that in my server mail logs. If sent manually from Status -> Logs -> Email now, it works. If sent using "On Log Full" option, also works.
Any way to schedule a reboot of a DCS2102?I've got 3 of them here, and they are very good but every now and then they seem to stop writing to the storage. They haven't frozen cause I can still connect to them via a browser

I have a flaky internet connection, and it drops every few days. I've thus far powercycled my router by unplugging and plugging it back in, which fixes the issue.
I'm traveling soon, and would like to be able to have access to my stuff remotely, even after the connection drops.
I have two ideas:Run a script in Windows 7 which would soft reboot the modem - free, not sure if soft reboot is enough though. If that doesn't work, Get a hardware which would powercycle the router - haven't researched if these are readily available and cheap

This is on a DIR-655, firmware 2.01NA, hardware rev B1.Is there a limit on the number of DHCP reservations that can be added to this WAP?This WAP was working fine with 10 DHCP reservations (wired & wireless devices), 6 schedules, Access control of 2 devices by MAC (6 defined, only 2-3 active at a time).I started adding additional DHCP reservations, because I'm simplifiying my network, and when I add the 26th DHCP reservation I get the message "Schedule rules is Full! Please Delete an Entry."
I've been adding all of the new DHCP reservations as disabled, but I haven't assigned any schedules or otherwise to these new devices yet. So what's up with this message??

I bought the 4300 a week ago - and just recently discovered that you cannot turn off the wi-fi radio using a schedule.
I thought this was "wireless router 101" - since my last three routers had this feature... apparently not with TP-Link.
I have a 10nos of cisco 2960 switches and 1no of cisco 3725 gigabit switch. all 2960 switches are parallaly connected to 3725 switch though fiber.
all the switches are having same vlan and public ips for management.
Now I want to upgrade IOS for all 2960 switches at a time, how to up grade IOS same time for all switches.
AI have a Dir-825 router. The 5GHz is turned off and the wirless is on G/N. I have shawcable for my isp and my firmware is 2.06 and its a Rev B Router. I also have Qos Engine on for allowing me to have 2 xboxes on Open NAT.problem is my wireless signal for some wired reason is VERY weak. A while ago it used to work really far way outside. It was around 150ft distance at 4 bars. Now for some reason I can't even go upstairs without getting a 1 or 2 bar signal.
