I have a dir-655 and have two schedules set up, one for weekend and one for week days, for wireless access. Is there a way to switch from one schedule to the other automatically?

As the subject says... Sending logs using "On schedule" option doesn't work. I have my own personal email server I used to test this. When the router time reaches the defined "Start time" nothing happens. I tried both time formats (12h, 24h). The router does NOT initialize the process of sending the email. I see that in my server mail logs. If sent manually from Status -> Logs -> Email now, it works. If sent using "On Log Full" option, also works.
Any way to schedule a reboot of a DCS2102?I've got 3 of them here, and they are very good but every now and then they seem to stop writing to the storage. They haven't frozen cause I can still connect to them via a browser

How do I set up a schedule to one one set of hours during the week, and a different set of hours during the weekend?
Is it possible to get a time and date stamp on the image when using the FTP on a schedule? The time and date stamp is shown on a live video image on pages 20 and 21 of the manual but I'm not seeing how to get it on snapshots.

I have a flaky internet connection, and it drops every few days. I've thus far powercycled my router by unplugging and plugging it back in, which fixes the issue.
I'm traveling soon, and would like to be able to have access to my stuff remotely, even after the connection drops.
I have two ideas:Run a script in Windows 7 which would soft reboot the modem - free, not sure if soft reboot is enough though. If that doesn't work, Get a hardware which would powercycle the router - haven't researched if these are readily available and cheap

This is on a DIR-655, firmware 2.01NA, hardware rev B1.Is there a limit on the number of DHCP reservations that can be added to this WAP?This WAP was working fine with 10 DHCP reservations (wired & wireless devices), 6 schedules, Access control of 2 devices by MAC (6 defined, only 2-3 active at a time).I started adding additional DHCP reservations, because I'm simplifiying my network, and when I add the 26th DHCP reservation I get the message "Schedule rules is Full! Please Delete an Entry."
I've been adding all of the new DHCP reservations as disabled, but I haven't assigned any schedules or otherwise to these new devices yet. So what's up with this message??
I realize that this is a new product, but nevertheless I have some feedback after running my 4 new DCS-930L camera over the past few days.
Currently, you can configure the camera to EMAIL/FTP images on a schedule or when motion is detected, but not both.
Why does it matter? Because I get flooded with email alerts after I get home from work and later in the evening every time I walk by one of the cameras or whenever a light switch is turned on/off.
If I could configured the motion detection to only alert during a specified schedule of days and hours, it would be great!

I bought the 4300 a week ago - and just recently discovered that you cannot turn off the wi-fi radio using a schedule.
I thought this was "wireless router 101" - since my last three routers had this feature... apparently not with TP-Link.
I own a WRT54G linksys router. works really great but i'm missing two features - being able to change the tx power - being able to turn wifi off on a schedules you can guess, i'm being apprehensive regarding EMF, so i'd like to turn off wifi at night and lowering the tx signal to the minimum required.the question: i saw two alternative firmware, dd-wrt and tomato, I think they both offer the tx signal control but no one has wifi schedule. do you know if there is a firmware which specifically gives me the requirements i need?

My goal is to define firewall rules on my RV180 that define when my tween-aged kids can and cannot play on X-Box live, as was the case on the FVS318G. I am aware that X-Box has several port ranges. Specifically, I have defined the following for one XBox port range to always block, as an example:

A similar rule on the FVS318 would block XBOX (and also on a schedule), but this is not the case on the RV180. I guess I don't uderstand how to correctly implement rAccess Rules on this device.

I just bought a RV220W. One of the features I need to setup is a daily wireless plan, i.e. parental control: my wireless connection needs to be open at different times depending on the day, for 2 specific wireless devices, while others wireless devices have continuous access. Unfortunately, the wireless schedule only lets me set up one start/stop time only (i.e. the same one every day).
I noticed that I could possibly set up a firewall access rule with a specific schedule, but I have no idea if this would work, and how to set it up. My basic idea was then to open the wireless SSID I want to control from 7.30am to 11pm every day, and then add a firewall rule that would close the access to the said devices (using their MAC address) from say 10-11pm on given days... But I am not quite sure how to set this up.

Also the router i have to use only has 3 100mb ethernet ports, the Dlink one has 4 gigabit ports. View 3 Replies View RelatedI added a switch (TP-Link TL-SG1005D plugged into a D-Link DGL-4100 router)) so I could add a computer or two to my network. I have my Vonage modem plugged into the switch and it works fine, but when I try to plug a computer into it, nothing. I've been trying to use an XP machine that I rebuilt, and I keep getting the "limited or no connectivity" message.
I've tried all the fixes I could find for that, and still no joy. I even plugged it right to the modem with no luck so I tried plugging my Windows 7 machine into the switch and it couldn't find the network either, but it works fine plugged into the router. When I go into the router, it has an IP address assigned to the switch, but the phone modem does not show up, where it did when plugged directly into the router. Is this normal?
Am I missing something simple here as far as the switch goes? The XP machine won't find the DHCP server and has the 169.254.XXX.XXX IP address with a MAC address of FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF. I've tried Microsoft's hotfix and releasing and renewing the IP...nothing. I know that's separate problem than the switch.
I am using my DIR-825 as a switch and AP. I have turned off DHCP and plugged the internet into the lan-1 port. This works perfectly for IPv4, but I cannot get IPv6 to work. On the outside there is native IPv6 running radvd. How should I configure IPv6 on my DIR-825?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHere is my configuration. My new DIR-601 router is connected this way. Wan port to Isp modem, LanP1 to a Win7 Pc1, LanP2 to a Linksys router, DHCP diisable using the 4 LAN ports as a switch in wich 2 Pc are connected 1) Win Xp PC2 and 2) Ubuntu 10.04 PC3.
The problem is , I can not access internet behind the telesyn switch, PC2 and PC3 have no access to Html servers on the Wan, except if I define PC2 or PC3 , only 1 allowed at a time, as DMZ. If I plug PC2 or PC3 directly in DIR-601 port everything is ok.
Why DIR601 port connected to a switch does not work the same way than conected to a PC. Any solution to give Internet access to PC behind a switch ?
NB: This work if I replace DIR601 with DIR620 router.
I just bought new 942L (HW Rev3, 1.12 FW) and the only profile which is used to stream to iPhone or Web browser in mydlink is profile 3 which is limited to JPEG. Is there some way how to change the profile to be used for streams or is there a way how to make to profile 3 something else then JPEG?

Any others wifi networks around my house. both with FW140b03.bin dated 01/14/2011.Most of the time, both work correctly. But time to time, the wifi link is ko. In AP status, the switch is mentionned connected (uptime = 3 hours ...). The red led is blinking on the switch. The administration web of the switch is not available and the link is ko. I currently have a D-Link DES-1228P and it is way too loud for my office.Would like a quiet 24 port Gigabit switch with Power over Ethernet, but if that's not possible, I'll take it without the PoE and plug the phones in with the transformers they came with.Something quiet, not to elaborate, that can be managed by a web gui, 24 port minimum, prefer to have gigabit on all ports, need priority for VoIP traffic, and under $1,000. I'd consider something higher end, but don't think I would need the features or know how to manage it.

Cable modem>Router>4 computers + 1 wireless printer.. But i needed more ports so i bought a trendnet gigabit switch with 8 ports.
Then I Plugged port 4 on router to >switch port 1
When all the computers are turned on and using everything at once i cant access websites but my skype works so i figure its probably a dns issue and my dlink is overloaded? I didnt try to access any sites with the ip only fail on my part.
Once this happened i immediately unplugged everything and restarted the router. I only have my own computer hooked up the router and did a firmware upgrade to 2.10na and my internet works immediately after but when i hook up another comptuer to the network i cant access any pages but my skype works..
