Linksys Wireless Router :: E3000 Caller ID's Time And Date Are Always Wrong

Feb 29, 2012

I have a E3000 with newest firmware that has a VOIP by Velcom. It's a Grand stream HT–286.My device is working perfectly with the router. Can call and recieve calls. the caller ID (Name and number that appears is accurate). The only problem is the caller ID's time and date are always wrong. When I unplug device, it goes back to Jan 1 and time 12:00am.Any call I then get is wrong.

In the router, I've enabled SIP ALG. And the firewall is only filtering ident (port 113) and Anonymous Internet requests. The device has a hard coded internal IP (192.168.123.110). and I reserve the IP using mac filtering. The device has an administration page that is unavailable to users as it's locked by a password. On this page has an NTP server setting that the device uses to get it's time/date.I see on the information page of the device that iot's registered to a sip server. The company is saying that it's a firewall issue. I'm not too sure how to proceed.

Linksys Wireless Router :: Ea4500 Does Not Include A Date / Time Stamp For Events

Sep 10, 2012

I just got my ea4500. the 50 Mbs from Comcast was killing my old wrt54gl.  the thing where cisco connect and access thru the web interface step on each other, or when the web interface does not expose all the settings is annoying.  because i didn't want a guest network, i had to go back to Cisco connect.  and things did not work well. i ended up re-doing the whole thing, because i did not want a guest network and wanted diff settings for 2.4 and 5 Ghz.and logging after so many years and Linksys still does not include a date/time stamp for the events.  logs without date/time are not very useful.

D-Link DCS-930L :: Time And Date Settings?

Aug 26, 2011

How to keep the time and date field (in camera settings) to stay?  All my other settings seem to be working (and staying) but unless my camera is on all the time, it reverts to 01-01-2011 with a 12:00 am time once I plug it in.  I only hook the camera up during the day while I'm at work, so I can keep an eye on my older dogs.  I'm not able to view the live video at work (ActiveX issues) so I tried to set up an email schedule so I would be sent pictures.

As a last resort, I went through the wizard set up one more time, thinking I missed something the first time around, but that didn't work either.  I am not impressed with D-link support so really don't want to call them unless I absolutely have to.

D-Link DIR-655 :: Promiscuous Mode In Log - Date / Time Not Accurate?

Apr 27, 2012

Last night, I lost my NetFlix connection.  It was no biggy, I just restarted the Cheers episode that I had been watching.  This morning, I checked the DIR-655 log and the following is what I had found (date and times aren't accurate).

May 24 03:22:33     info     [1076865.190000] device br0 left promiscuous mode
May 24 03:22:29     info     [1076861.620000] device br0 entered promiscuous mode
May 24 03:20:20     info     [1076732.020000] device br0 left promiscuous mode
May 24 03:20:16     info     [1076728.140000] device br0 entered promiscuous mode
May 24 01:45:42     info     [1071054.590000] device br0 left promiscuous mode

[code]....

Promiscuous Mode is usually the result of sniffing according to Wiki.  Whatever is promiscuous mode.  Also, I don't know what device br0 is.  I do have my Brother wireless printer connected to the DIR-655 but it's device name is BRW0022581FB096.  I was wireless at the time of connection problem, and the wired computer connected to the DIR-655 had been off.

D-Link DIR-825 :: 2.5ghz Not Working / Why Time And Date Keeps Changing

Jul 17, 2011

I have a DIR-825 router connected to my cable modem.  The 2.4ghz constantly goes down but not the 5.0ghz.  Our wireless devices will see the connection but we are unable to connect. We only have one device that uses the 5.0 and multiple devices that use the 2.4 and none of them can connect.I am currently running firmware 2.02.  I also notice that the time changes and I have to reset the time/date.I have tried rebooting the device, resetting the router, changing the network key, updated the time/date, renewed the DHCP...I don't know why it keeps going down, why the time/date keeps changing, and why I cannot get the 2.4 working.

Cisco Switches :: SG200-08 And SG200-08P Fail To Hold Or Update Date / Time

May 24, 2011

SG200-08 and SG200-08P fail to hold or update Date/Time.(New installation for a UC320 setup.)I've got both an SG200-08 and SG200-08P that are failing to maintain date/time when set with "Use Local Settings".  Every restart/powercycle causes them to reset to Dec 31 1969.  Other settings save fine.I first tried to set time via SNTP Unicast using a variety of public time server addresses including the 3 hard coded to the SG200-08 firmware:

Sadly though it always just shows  "Active Server  Server Host Address: 0.0.0.0"  and continues having 12/31/1969 as the date.  Both after a config save and a reboot.I can ping the NTP servers just fine from the switches either by IP or by hostname. At this point I've decided that I must be missing something simple. At least I hope so... otherwise it's a firmware bug which means waiting for a fix.Other devices behind the same firewall/gateway (RVS4000) are updating NTP

Cisco VPN :: ASA 5510 - Maximum Connect Time Configuration?

Mar 21, 2011

I have been working on my ASA 5510 version 8.2(1) trying to change the maximum connection time.  Originally the custom "Group Policy" for IPSEC (Remote Access VPN) was set to inherit the settings from the default system Group Policy (DfltGrpPolicy).  The custom group policy for the sake of this discussion is called "ABCD".  I have modified the settings on the default (DfltGrpPolicy) as the custom policy (ABCD) was inheriting the configuration from default to disconnect after 1200 minutes.  I changed the setting "maximum connection time" to 1200 minutes.  I saved the configuration and what not then connected my VPN client, after two (2) hours I was disconnected.  Something just doesn't add up.

I went ahead and deselected all inherited properties and manually configured them for the ABCD custom policy.  No longer was the ABCD custom policy configured to use the inherited properties/settings.  I saved the configuration again tested but instead of having a 1200 minute connection limit, I have 120 minute connection limit.  Inside Monitoring --> VPN --> Sesssions : I can click on my session and see Session details".  The Group Policy and Connection Profile properly list the "ABCD" custom profile.  However, the "Conn Time Out" setting is: 120 minutes.  I am completely stumped as to what is going on.

In the actual running config I see:
group-policy abcd attributes
banner none
wins-server value 123.123.123.123
dns-server value 123.123.123.123
dhcp-network-scope none
vpn-access-hours none
vpn-simultaneous-logins 3
vpn-idle-timeout 60
vpn-session-timeout 1200

What I need to do next to get this working short of a recycle of the ASA.

Cisco Firewall :: 8.0.4 / ASA Failover Configuration Sync Infinite Time

Nov 15, 2011

We have ASA running code 8.0.4 with Active/Standby for quite long time. Today when we gave the command wri standby it started sync the config to standby ASA but waited forever.when we checked the show failover, we got the following result.

This host: Secondary - Active
Active time: 1928633 (sec)
slot 0: ASA5540 hw/sw rev (2.0/8.0(4)) status (Up Sys)
Interface PERIMETER-MGMT (10.12.8.1): Normal (Not-Monitored)
Interface OUTSIDE (86.36.xx.xx): Normal (Waiting)

[code].....

When we console to Standby ASA and tried to save (wri mem), we  got the following error and also please note the hostname has become default...?

ciscoasa(config)# wri memory
Building configuration...
Command Ignored, Configuration in progress...
[FAILED]

and when we tried to give following command we got this error:

ciscoasa(config)# copy running-config startup-config
Source filename [running-config]?
%Error reading system:/running-config (Configuration temporarily locked)
ciscoasa(config)#

I see here the standby ASA IPS module is down, but can that issue cause not sync the config backup and writing to nvram (save config)..?

And if cheap enough the whole site.Ideally I would like a control panel I can use to create new passwords for every customer that wants to connect. I can then set an expiry date on the password after that it deletes the password. An extra would be if the person would have to sign an e-policy before being allowed to browse.
