I had bought dlink's dir615 router, plug it to my broadband connection to have Wi-Fi access. My android phone which is HTC Sensation and my sister's phone Samsung Galaxy Mini can detect the wifi and connect/browse to the internet. However when we try to watch online videos (via youtube or other sites) and update/download apps from the google play store its just fails. Is there configurations needed to for my router for the downloads to work?
My Android Tablet ASUS TF101 fails to wireless connect at the next reboot after it has been sleeping.Unplugging the DIR615 and replugging solves the problem until next time. The Tablet shows a poor signal until the router reboots (even at 4 feet away). The router firmware is 3.11NA and the hardware is C1.Other hardware like an ACER WIN-7 PC can still wireless connect when this problem is exhibited.
I recently purchased a android tablet and want to access my wireless connection through my network. When the tablet recognizes my network but when I enter my router password it wont accept it. I have reset the router back to default and reset a new password and it still will not accept it.
i have purchased a 2.2 android tablet everything works fine apart from internet access tablet scans finds my sky router tap on connect enter password which i have double checked starts to connect then says disconnected and disabled is this a security issue with the router or conflict with the tablet desktop connects great and also wii.
I'm trying to connect an android tablet (asus transformer) to my ASA5510 ver 8.4(2)I successfully configured to have "PHASE 2 COMPLETED"
But my droid give the message "user or password incorrect" and vpn isn't established.I use local AAA authentification. On the debug, I don't see anything or can't find the appropriate debug. [code]
I cannot connect my new Filemate Clear android tablet to the internet. No problem connecting laptops. I keep getting this message, authentication problem after trying to connect.
I have an Adroid 2.3.1 tablet, a WRT160N router, and an ActionTec M1000 DSL modem. I have many devices, both wired and wireless, connected and all work fine. These include xBox (Port Triggering in place) and 2 laptops via wireless and 3 machines wired. For some reason the Android tablet will not connect. It does connect to other WIFI spots including neighbors, cafes, etc. For this reason I believe the issue is with the router.I have tried all sorts of things including:
Change advanced wireless settings (Beacon Interval, Fragmentation Threshold, RTS Threshold)Tried B, G, B&G, B/G/NTried WEP, WPA, WPA2Tried Channel 1, 6, 11.Reset the router (via reset button, via Factory Defaults option, Reboot, power off 10 secs, back on)Updated router firmware to latestUpdated tablet firmware to latestTried enabling MAC Address filteringAt one time I saw messages in the DHCP log wherein it was trying to register and I noticed the MAC Address doesn't match what the tablet says it has. Now I can't even get that. It says "Connecting", a few seconds then "Disconnected".I am now forced to consider getting a new router. If I can't get this resolved, the new one will not be manufactured by Cisco.
I just purchased a Toshiba Thrive tablet and I can't get it to connect to my wireless router. My router (WRVS4400N) works flawlessly with my laptop and desktop. I have spoken to a Cisco tech rep and they assured me that there is not a compatibility problem with the WPA-Personal setting I am using. When I speak to a Toshiba tech they tell me I have a router conflict. To verify this I went to my local Starbucks and low and behold it logged right on with no problem (The Starbucks system was not a protected system). This confirms to me that there is a conflict between the router and the tablet.Toshiba tells me that it is not compliant with Android but it is with Windows that is why I don't have an issue with the computers.
The company I work for uses a Cisco ASA 5510 router. We currently have an IPsec VPN set up and useres connect through the Ciso VPN client using group authentication, then they are prompted for a username and password, and use the same username/password they log on to thier work computers with. Some of the users have recently got Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablets and would like to connect to the VPN using those tablets, but I can't figure out how to get the tablets to work. I've tried the anyconnect app for the andriod market as well as creating a VPN connection from the Tablet's settings page, but no luck either way. Perhaps I'm not entering a setting right? Has any one had any luck getting andriod tablets to connect to a Cisoc VPN?
I cannot connect Android Tablet to home WiFi. Getting Authentication Problem" as error. All other devices connected. Have tried all of the solutions on this and other sites

I am having an issue with my Android Tablet running 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is able to the SSID, but when I try to connect - it stays connecting and then says saved, and never connects, as it does not pick up an IP address. I updated the firmware on the Aironet 1140 due to my Windows 8 pc's not connecting as well, it solved my Windows 8 problem, just not my Android Tablet problem. My Ipads do work. Just any android device I connect.
I have just gotten a new touch phone that has wifi. and i wanna use it through my dlink dir-825 router. My phone is the nexus s with 2.3 andriod OS.The problem is that my phone can see the 2.4 ghz connection it just keeps reporting "deactivated" i did acess other wifi and used the internet over a router. So i know the phone works.
So my question is: 1. Can i make my router ONLY be in 2.4ghz mode, if so, can you link or explain it?
I have A lan Connetion With Username and password.now i want to connect this Lan connection to my Tablet...I Have Lan to Ethernet USB Connector. How Can I Connect?
I have just received 3 notepad's that are for my kids on Christmas day. I have managed to get 2 of the 3 connected perfectly and have a connection of 65mb per second and the other one has a connection of 6mb per second!!I am certainly no computer expert, I am very worried that 2 are working spot on and the other has something wrong with it!!Is it something that could be set up wrong or is whatever makes the wifi connection faulty.
My laptop, printer, and iPhone connect to the internet via this router, but my new Polaroid tablet will not. The tablet locates the secure network connection and I enter the password. Rather than connecting, a loop of the following messages display - "Obtaining IP address..." "Remembered secured with WEP." The first suggestion from support was to check that the firmware for the router is up-to-date.
I had a TP-Link WR841N router which I replaced with a D-Link DIR-615 today. Before the replacement all my laptops, home desktop and my tablet would connect just fine. After the switch, all machines except the tablet connect to the Internet. My tablet shows that its connected to the router but I cannot access the router admin pages or the Internet. All settings on the DIR-615 are the same as the TP-Link one.
I have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and have bee trying to connect to my WRVS4400N router with VPN through the "on board" software as well as with the Any Connect software from Cisco. I have no issues at the moment using Quick VPN from my laptop.
When using the Any Connect software I receive the following messages:
Security warning: untrusted certificate AnyConnect cannot verify the identity of <IP address>. Would you like to continue anyway? - Certificate does not match the server name. - Certificate is from an untrusted source. - Certificate is not identified for this purpose [Accept] [Details] [Cancel]
If I select accept, the following error is received:
"Error: Connection attempt has failed due to server communication errors. Please retry the connection".
I have tried setting up the on board VPN with the Samsug Galaxy but every attempt has resulted in a time-out of the connection.
i have multiple DCS-930 and DCS-932 at my home. I also have other IP cameras. Is there a way to add IP cameras to the mydlink app on Android, iPad, and web?
Dir 615, hardware version E4, Firmware version 5.1.Intermittent (95% of the time), problem accessing Google using my Android via wireless. A PC using XP on the same network has no problems. Using the Android on my local library's network I have no problems.Have restored to factory default settings and reconfigured with no improvement.
Modem setup: Setup to connect to another router, UPnP disabled, DHCP server disabled, 802.11 mode -mixed 802.11n & 802.11g (Android connects using 802.11n PC uses 802.11g have forced Android to use 802.11g to no avail), Auto channel scan, (have tried fixed), Channel width 20/40, visible mode.Internet connection Dynamic IP of course it is going out through my other Dlink ADSL 2 modem router. Also disabled QOS engine.
I am unable to connect and Android device (HTC Desire, Samsung Nexus S etc) wirelessly to the DAP-1522. I've search through the forums and can't find anyone else having issues with Android so I think it must be one of my settings. It works fine if I switch to WEP however I don't want to use the weaker hackable protocol. Any way to have the DAP-1522 in WPA working with an android device?
I've got a WiFi router which I'd now like to connect through my Android phone's 3g hotspot. The router is a Trendnet TEW-691GR. The phone: an old Motorola Milestone.
The reason I'm attempting this is the ADSL (or other wireless) in the area is simply tooooooo slooooowww to even consider. I'm lucky to get 40kb/s through the ADSL, but linking through the phone's hotspot allows in excess of 2MB/s - price wise it's not much of a difference. So I thought: "Why not simply use my phone's connection (seeing as I'm paying for it already - uncapped as well), and drop the ADSL contract?"
Only: the router was fine for the ADSL modem. But I'm failing to see how to connect it to the hotspot. I can connect the phone to the router quite easily. But if the hotspot is turned on the connection needs to go the other way round - doesn't it?
Anyhow most of the PC's & Laptops have a wireless connection, so I can directly connect to the hotspot from each of these. This now causes further issues: One of the PCs (I use it as a pseudo server) only has a LAN connection to the router. Also if a laptop is connected to the hotspot it cannot be connected to the router - thus it's incapable of seeing the shares on the "server".
I was thinking of attempting the router's WDS setup, but it requires the MAC address of the other wireless device(s). And for the love of Pete I cannot find the phone's MAC while its hotspot is turned on (simply says MAC address unavailable on the phone). I can find it when the hotspot is off, and have tried using that MAC, then turn the hotspot on and reboot the router - but still it doesn't connect to the hotspot.
My Dir-615 E1 5.01 works fine, daughters Iphone, laptop connect fine. My Droid Max android phone connects with no problem but does not load web pages or sites. Phone does work great at other wifi spots just not at home with this DLink. My last android phone acted the same way, cannot use wifi at home! Not a password issue cause it does connect and has strong signal.
I have a Cisco ASA 5510 (with an AnyConnect Mobile License enabled) I used to be able to connect to the VPN using the AnyConnect app for Android form the Google App store (the phone is a Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, if that matters). Like I said everything used to work fine until a few weeks ago, the only change I made to the router was giving it a different external IP address (I changed ISP), I'm pretty sure it worked after that. But now when I try to connect with my Android I get this error: "Clientless (browser) SSL VPN access is not allowed".
I've got a Samsung Epic 4G and whenever I leave the wifi connected on my phone at home, it seems to never go into sleep so the battery drains overnight doing nothing. If I turn off wifi and leave it on the 3G network, battery barely drains at all. Is there something in my router that could be keeping my phone awake when it's connected. I've tested it on a friends wifi network and my phone sleeps just fine, it's only when I'm connected to my DIR-655.
I tried several times to see the DCS 942L camera picture on my Samsung Advance S smartphone on UMTS 3G net but also setting the video parameters profiles at minimum (64 Kbit/s) it does not work. The MyDlink lite version is the 2.6.1. release. Locally ,using Wi-Fi it works well of course.
