D-Link DIR-655 :: Can't Find Set Up Had Before Upgrade

I recently updated my DIR-655 (hardware A3) router the latest firmware 1.35NA. After I updated, I noticed that my internet speed was drastically reduced and for some reason, I can't find the set up I had before I upgraded (I had 1.21 before upgrade to 1.35). I've messed with the settings, reset it, did pretty much anything I could think of to get it to go faster.Last night I somehow made it so no computer but mine would connect to it but I had the speed I wanted. I then reset the router completely and still had the same speeds. It remained fast until about an hour ago when it just bogged right down and I can't get it to be fast again.I used speedtest.net in order to see what it was doing and I'm getting a download of about .7 every time when I should be getting about 3 with the internet I have. At one point my upload speed was faster than my download which doesn't take a genius to figure out that that's not good.

I've been trying for years to update my firmware but I'm still on version 1.21. I've never been able to update. I found the information in the discussion below but I get the same error message every time. The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this device, or the uploaded file may be corrupted.If the uploaded file is correct, it is possible that the device may be too busy to properly receive it right now. In this case, please try the upload again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can upload new firmware.I tried every version of the firmware and I get the same error every time. I'm logged in as admin, I'm connected to the computer through port 1, I've done the factory reset, I've rebooted... about 100 times now.

I have a Dir-655 A3 with the firmware 1.32NA. I cannot get the new firmware 1.35NA to take. The router seems to go through the motions of the upgrade, but at the end, when I log back on, the firmware still says 1.32NA & all custom settings remain.I have upgraded the firmware on this router before and I know that when its upgraded, the router is basically reset to factory settings. All the settings have been backed up and I am attempting this upgrade via a wired connection.

I have a DIR-655 Rev A4.I followed this forum in the past when there were many problems with firmware upgrades beyon 1.21. Because of this I never upgraded and was told to be satisfied that I can still stay with 1.21 as upgrades caused problems for a number of people.Everything still seems fine with 1.21 except the Shareport utility often does not pickup the printer connection upon booting to Windows Vista. I can always work around this by Disable and then Enable. It will then always find the printer. It is a minor annoyance however.Should I still stay with 1.21 or is upgrading to 1.35 NA recommended ? If I upgrade to 1.35 NA is there a downgrade path back to 1.21 if the upgrade does not work well ?

I recently bought the D-link DWA 556 wireless adapter. I tried installing it but the computer couldn't find it in the device manager. I tried 3 different slots and I had the same problem each time.
I called tech support and he said that my motherboard must not be compatible with the card. I don't think this is the case but it was the only advice he could give me. I have an MSI P67A-G45 board. I removed all drivers from my previous card before installing the DWA 556 because I heard they can clash with each other.

I had a Linksys BEFSR41 router with AppleTV 1stGen with 0 problems.Now I have a DIR-655 Vb1 2.00NA firmware and itunes now cannot find the AppleTV as a device. I have tried resetting the AppleTV to factory defaults re-installing latest firmware and reinstalling itunes, powering down all devices etc., and no way can itunes find the appleTV although the appleTV is on the net and seen by the router.I have gone to a wired connection to the router too because the router kept dropping the wireless connection to the router too. Where can I download firmware? I've been trying to get it through the official site and downloads page, but everytime I click download, then click 'open' there's absolutely nothing in the zip folder (0 bytes).Specifically, I'm looking for the D1 4.11 firmware. It's the one I've been using for about 2 years until needing to reset my router today. And as I forgot how to Hard Reset, I accidently reset everything deleting the firmware too, and I really need the D1 4.11 firmware back as it gave me no issues for 2 years!

I have a DIR-615 Ver. C1 f/w3.00. We have been having trouble with the the signal becoming weak or non-existent, so I decided to see if a firmware upgrade would solve the problem. I have attempted to upgrade to DIR615C1C2_FW301B11.bin and to DIR615C1_FW313NAB09.bin with the same result for both of them - with several attempts for each.
The message I get is: "The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this device, or the uploaded file may be corrupted.
If the uploaded file is correct, it is possible that the device may be too busy to properly receive it right now. In this case, please try the upload again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can upload new firmware.

I have disconnected all other devices to reduce traffic, I have attempted the upload multiple times for 3.01 and 3.13NA, I am logged in as the admin, and I believe the files are proper for this hardware version.
Is there something I am missing that prevents me from performing a firmware upgrade?

My DIR-615 was working for months but then it unexpectedly stopped. So I tried re-linking, but Windows can't find the certificate to log onto the network. I found the network fine but I can't find anything that lets me input the WEP key.
Perhaps I need to reset it up on the main computer? But I don't know how to find the IP address or the MAC address.

i had the dir-655 with desktops and laptops running with xp and win 7, also some other devices such as ipod, iphone, ps3, xbox, problem occura with conflict of network ip address, i think xp and win 7 both login with the same network ip address. So I start to disconnect every device and try to connect each desktop and laptops, one by one, enabled the DHCP and reserve the network ip to avoid conflict. But here's the problem, when I connect the first computer with wired to the dir-655, can't find the computer in the DHCP list so I cannot do the reserve, I'm able to surf internet even I can see info with ipconfig. So I connected 1 wired and 2 wifi to the network, only 1 wifi network ip showing on the list, so I reserve that one, but after I refresh, the DHCP list is empty.

Well this one should be in the "Firmware DOs and DONTs" post. I updated to FW 1.11 over wifi and apparently this will corrupt the camera so it needs serviving. Would have been nice to know that before I did it. Since the upgrade from 1.02 1030 I get this note:The throughput of the SD Card on your camera is not currently enough for recording. We suggest you to reformat the SD Card or replace it with a higher class one.

I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware (2.03NA). Something went wrong and now the router comes up with the orange light flashing. So the system is in emergency firmware upgrade mode. I set my IP to 192.168.0.2 and connect to the web interface at 192.168.0.1. I see a page with "Firmware Upgrade System" and "Version 1.0.0.2". So far so good. I can now select the firmware and click "send". But then nothing really happens. I can wait for a couple of minutes and then run into a timeout. I tried different browsers (Linux: Firefox, Chrome, etc). I even tried it Windows 7 with IE 8 and I get the same result. It seems that the cgi (192.168.0.1./cgi/index) is not really doing anything?

I hope that we can get this DIR-825 back from the dead. I did the first portion of the 2.05NA upgrade while wired into LAN1 on the unit, after the reboot the power light went Amber and the unit would no longer respond to pings. I have searched around for various reset methods but have not been able to find a guide or a definitive current D-Link tech manual on how to fix a bad flash. I have tried pinging/arping/web browsing its default IP and the IP I had it set to to no avail.

Last week I upgraded the firmware to 1.13NA and ever since, the wireless network has been slooooooow (wired is fine). If the laptop/ipad/phone is in the same room as the router, things are fine. Anywhere else in the house, the speed drops off to almost nothing even though the signal strength is very good. For example: Under the "Speed" section of my "Wireless Network Connection Status" on my laptop, I'm seeing 150.0Mbps in the same room as the router, 25.0 Mbps in the hallway and 1.0 Mbps about 5 steps further away. All the while, the signal strength is showing Excellent.Speakeasy speedtest: Wired 23.36 Mbps, wireless at the end of the hallway, .12 Mbps.

I recently upgraded my network because my DIR-655 started to drop connections. My new routers (a Netgear ProSafe VPN Firewall SRXN3205) is working great, but I'd like to re-purpose my D-Link as a wireless bridge.
According to Netgear support, I need to link my DIR-655 to another access point connected to the network over wired Ethernet. No problem there; I have a DAP-1522 connected via Ethernet on the floor directly below the location of the DIR-655. I was under the impression that although the signal was going through the floor, the physical distance to between the two devices would be sufficient to make the connection. No joy. I use the push-to-connect buttons on the two devices, but they do not connect. Is the floor the only issue? I do have an ANT-24 antenna extension for the DIR-655 router -- would that make any difference. As I say, the physical distance between the two devices is less than 10 feet.

I have 3 932ls and one 930l in a house in Massachusetts, all registered onto my dlink. All went fine.I brought 3 more 932l and one 930l to a house in Mexico. I had problem w the 932l wizard. Then I noticed that I had brought 2 different wizard discs. They were different versions, the older one could not find a Internet connection, so I could go no further. I tried the newer version of the 932l wizard, it found my Internet connection, and did installation and registered all three 932ls to my current mydlink account. All fine so far. On my mydlink account I have the three Massachusetts 932s , the one Massachusetts 930, and the three Mexico 932s.
I had forget to bring the 930L disc for the installation. Here is where the problem started. I downloaded the 930L wizard from the Dlink site, but I can't get past that first section where is says " checking active x, checking Internet, checking LAN " or something to that effect. It then says " can't find Internet connection, check your adapter, router, etc" or something to that effect. I can't go any further with that wizard. I was able to find the cam from my router and finally got that 930L interface, and did the manual as well as the automatic set-up. I can see the cam perfectly, by going to 192.168.1.101 I can log in, reset my password, did everything. I can see cam wirelessly.
The problem is that I CAN'T register it to my mydlink account, and hence can't see it on mydlink lite , etc.I can ONLY see the cam INTRANET - WISE.the 930L wizard that I downloaded is worthless. I have disabled firewall, did everything, tried an XP PC, as well as a windows 7 laptop.Is there any way to add the cam to my mydlink account ? I even tried the 932L wizard that DOES find my Internet connection, but it doesn't find my 930 at the part where I have to chase a cam to set up. If I can't add the 930L to my mydlink account, I would even be happy if I could access it from the 192.168.1. ddress, but I dont know how to set that up so that I can do that from a different network than my own. I suppose that there must be a way to get to my modem, my router and then to that 192.168.1.101 address?

I went to Furrynutz link where I never found the direct download lilnk to the widget. I then chatted with a Microsoft representative at the widget page and he linked me to the same Furrynutz's link.
My DIR-825 has the latest firmware, 2.06xx and works flawlessly, even the shareport usb port works without a hitch with a Seagate Expansion 3TB drive connected into it. What I simply would like is the D-Link gadget.
