D-Link DIR-655 :: Truncated Html Output After Login?
Nov 17, 2011
I'm running hardware B1, firmware 2.00NA.
All of a sudden this morning, whenever I login to the router, I get this truncated output displayed in my browser just as I paste it below (this is 100% of what is displayed in the browser window):
When I go to the "status" tab and click on "logs" I get a page that is basically blank...really it looks like a poorly formatted HTML page with no content, even the places where images should be are blank. I tried to prints creen and paste here but that doesn't work?
I'm using a Catalyst 4948. It seems to drop all truncated packets. I don't know whether this is an expected behavior.I'm developing a program which processes packets in the following steps:
1) capture packets 2) if a packet is too long, truncate it to a certain length 3) insert a vlan tag (say 100) to each packet 4) send them to the switch
Mac address learning is disabled on the vlan 100, so the packets should be seen at all ports of the vlan. However, I only observed untruncated packets. Truncated packets seemed to be dropped by the switch. The summary of the source port is:
Almost no packets were output.I see a Cisco document says "ingress port drops corrupted packets" [URL] then my questions are:
1) Is this the root cause of dropping truncated packets?
2) What criteria does a switch use to check corrupted packets? My understanding is that truncated packets could have wrong L3 and L4 data, but they can't be detected at L2.
3) If switch drops mal-format packets, can we disable this feature?
I have a H.264 web cam with a built in server attached to a 1 watt Powerlink(N) router(bridge) connecting wirelessly outside (100 feet)to my Dlink 655. My computer connects wirelessly(60 feet) through the house via a 1 watt Powerlink USB adapter to the 655 also. It was the Network from hell to get up and going, but it is functional? now.I have the Dlink with a web server port open outputting the video. I can access internal and externally via IE with a Dyndns domain so its all working.Dlink says I'm getting 80-160mbps from the web cam and 25-55mbps from my computer. The Problem: Camera server comes up fine and starts to stream great video for 2-5 seconds then its like the bandwidth gets used up and it gets choppy, stalls for long periods ETC ETC. I have Nat TCP and UDP set to End point independent if that makes a difference.
I have had a DIR-655 router for a few years now, but slowly over time the wireless output has gone down. I have tried changing parameters to only-g or only-n, rebooted, changed other parameters based on what I have read in some of the forums, but have not been able to restore the power. It has an ANT24-230 antenna, and the latest firmware update 1.35NA. Different devices all show the same thing, that even next to the antenna the strength is only 80% in spite of the fact that the wireless output is set to max.
even though I have been working on this for a couple of months now, and am considering buying a new 11AC or 900N router if this is not fixable.

I made an html main page linked to other html pages on my hard disk using dreamweaver and I saved the images in different directories. all the html pages and the images directories are saved under one directory. then I got connected to my FTP host (which I registered) using filezilla and the connection was successful. then I uploaded the one whole directory containing the pages and images into the root directory in filezilla (when I got connected to my host there was no directories, only the root "/"). but still when I try opening my page by typing url..." in the browser I don't get the page I designed. I tried placing the main html page with its images on the main root in filezilla but the problem is still same. what could be the problem, do I have to do anything else besides uploading the files with filezilla?
I uploaded my web page on Internet via File Zilla. My web page consisted of 10~ HTML files . Some of HTML pages cannot be opened by any browser ( The requested URL /scenos.html was not found on this server ), however, when i open my web locally ( from my hard drive) everything works perfectly
this router of my girlfriends only works when iplug the dsl modem into the output ports what could possibly cause this. would a firmware upgrade straighten it out...
I have a cisco 3560 8 port switch. I really would lime to have the webinterface enabled. So i downloaded the archive from cisco. I extracted the archive to the flash of the switch. After rebooting the device everythings looks fine, but the html folder is a subfolder. It looks something like this: flash:c3560.../htmlI my understanding to enable the webinterface the html folder should be here flash:htmlHow do i move the html folder from the subfolder to the root?
i'm having some trouble logging in as admin. I leave the password section blank as directed but it comes up as "incorrect password". I then tried the same using the "User" and it worked just fine but i cant change any of my settings.
With these Dlinks. But, like a lot of people when I go to my router via [url]... and try to login it says "invalid password" And yes I am leaving the "Password" line blank. I need to get my BSSID to get my Linux laptop going WIFI. I have also tried the http://192.168.0.1
I have an internet connection with a wireless N belkin router but want to run a dir-615 wireless N via my ps3, basically run ethernet from ps3 to dir-615 then want that to act as adapter and work with my N belkin router to get full n capabilites on ps3 as its built in adapter is only g and streaming HD is slow?? i have had a look at ap mode and disabling dns relay and dhcp but cant login via the router then?? do i need static ips or something??
typing 192.168.0.1 just times out when there no internet connection problem. I can go into my modem settings through. I don't know when this problem started as I hadn't needed to log into my router in over a year. I tried resetting it and still can not go to the log in page. I noticed a few months ago my NAT type went from open to strict on my xbox live but didn't really care at the time
I have a DIR-615 router that I can not see the characters that you have to type just a read X on login screen on any computer running IE9 even the emulator on the dlink site shows this problem.
I wanted to update the F/w on my rev b dir 825, but unable to load the login console for admin, I haven't changed anything and the router was still on 2.07NA f/w
I have a D-Link 2740B with the 2 antennas and sloping black case and for some reason I now can't seem to login to the web GUI via 192.168.1.1. The modem is working OK but there is a setting I need to change.IE says "Internet Explorer cannot display the page"A friend then recommended trying Firefox. This worked the first time but now it is not connecting either. On http://192.168.1.1/ I just get a blank screen.I've turned the power off on the modem for 15 minutes and back on, and rebooted the computer.I've also tried turning Norton Antivirus & Firewall off but this didn't make any difference.I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with SP1.I've avoided resetting the modem as I am of the understanding that means I have to start from scratch with all the settings.
I have been using d link routers for a very long time. However, recently I have a problem with one of my dlink router..
Basically I have a Wireless N 150 Home Router (DIR-600 B2). I managed to reset and login to the router at http://192.168.0.1. I tried to made some configuration (disabling DHCP, some stuff, basically I was trying to configure this router as Wireless Repeater to connect to another room downstairs).
So it didn't connect so I do a reset (hold a pen for 20+ seconds at the reset button) and now I cant login to the router at http://192.168.0.1..
changed the router wan access pwd and now trying to test the dap i can't seem to log in with the default ip / dlinkap url access i have tried the bridge and ap switch setting on the dap with no luck after resetting the dap a couple of times with no luck ..

Just bought a new TP-Link TL-WR720N router. Hooked it up and got internet access just fine. However, when I go to [URL] or http://192.198.0.1 to try and login to setup the router, I just get the standard message:
Username or Password is incorrect. Please refer to the troubleshooting below:
Is the "Caps Lock" enabled on your keyboard? The username and password must be lowercase, please ensure that the "Caps Lock" LED is disabled on your keyboard and try again.Forgot your username or password? Please reset the device to the factory default settings if you have forgotten your username or password. The default username and password are both set as "admin". Note: The settings will be restored to factory default after the resetting. How to restore the device to the factory default settings? Firstly locate the reset button on the rear panel of the unit, whilst the device is powered on press and hold the reset button for more than 5 seconds, the device will then reboot and restore itself to the factory default settings. I am using a Cat 5e ethernet cable, I don't have NOD32 or any other antivirus or firewall blocking access, I even changed the settings and disabled IPv6 via ethernet since that was also suggested in the FAQ, but I still don't get a login screen.
I reset the router, rebooted my computer, unplugged the modem/router, reset everything again, double checked the IP address and pinged the router with excellent results, but nothing makes it so the login screen appears.I then hooked up the router to a PC running Windows XP with Internet Explorer 8 and the login screen works fine like you would expect. Went in, adjusted settings, everything works ok. This router is very new, it should support Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9, shouldn't it? I don't want to have to keep old computers around just to login and change settings on my router. There must be some default setting in Windows 7 or in IE9 that causes this issue with the TL-WR720N router. I've tried everything that seems to cause the same issue on other routers, both TP-Link and other brands, and none of those seem to be what's causing this. TP-Link might want to address this ASAP and fix whatever causes it, otherwise this router is not going to do very well in the marketplace if setting it up with Windows 7 PCs with IE9 is a problem. It should work with default settings, same as it seems to with Windows XP and IE8.
I've get telnet access to my DCS-942L, but i can't log in because of wrong login/password. Neither newly created or changed admin's login/pass nor user's login/pass is not working! Which is default telnet login and password then?

I have just bought the device. I works fine as a AP out of the box. I want to use it as a repeater of my wireless network which uses a Linksys Simultaneous Dual Band N Router WRT400N
1. To do the setup, I have tried to login at 192.168.0.254 I cannot do this (a) using a wireless connection to a Linksys router which is connected to the cable modem and (b) wired connection to the router which is connected to the cable modem. The attempts get a timeout messaage.
2. The default gateway is 192.168.1.1. The DHCP server has the same address. My computer is using 192.168.1.101.
everything was ok with my connexions, but, after a crash, when I run IE ou Chrome, I get the login screen of the 2 cameras, and I can enter my login en my password but after validation, nothing happens...This problem is only on my PC windows 7, and I can connect with all others stations LAN or WAN.All I remenber is that I have to delete a file in the system folder of my PC but what file ?
D-Link Router 615, with Xplornet Satellite Internet <-(internet sucks).
We got the router about 5 months ago and it has been good, few losses of connection and you have to reboot which is understandable. The internet is always random so if the router needs reset/reboot its no problem.
However about a month or so ago its started redirecting constantly once you put a website in the address bar. Its not always the same sites either. Sometimes its google for part of the day, some times the site wont work for a week. It redirects me all the time to the D-Link Router Log In, and no matter how i try to access the website im trying to go to, it redirects me to the D-Link.
Whenever I enter 192.168.1.1 to access the login page of my router, I cant access it to configure it even after resetting it !I also tried changing TCP/IP settings to static as mentioned in the router's manual but it dint work?
I have a website account with fatcow. I created the website with Dreamweaver software and uploaded it to fatcow via port 21.My internet connection was via xplornet and I had no access problems. I upgraded to xplornet's new g4 system and now I can no longer access my account online or upload to my website. We have two computers. The first is a desktop system that has the dreamweaver software. The second is a laptop which connects wirelessly. We share the signal through a dlink router. The modem is a viasat Surfbeam 2 residential satellite modem.1. When I attempt to login to the fatcow control panel, the tab shows successfully authenticated and then re-directs me back to the login page. This happens on both the laptop and the desktop.
I have tried bypassing the router and the problem still exists.I took the laptop to the computer center and I can login to the account no problem.I used a free proxy server page on the internet and can login from my home system on my desktop no problem.I have completely turned off virus scan and firewalls. It doesn't work. I have tried IE7, Chrome, Firefox and they all have the same problem. The laptop runs IE8 and has the same problem.I can ping the page successfully. I can traceroute the page successfully. I can't nslooup any site at all. I get the domain not existant message. My ip and dns settings are the automatically find option.I have renewed ips and dumped the dns cache.Using alternate dns addresses doesn't rectify the problem. When I attempt to upload via dreamweaver, I connect but within seconds I get a Dreamweaver message that says "Connection to remote host has been lost. Click refresh to continue" and the log reads "FTP Error. Dreamweaver could not connect to server." I haven't taken my desktop anywhere to try to see if it works on a different network. I'm in a remote location (hence the satellite internet)and it is an hours drive to the nearest private internet connection and a 2 hour drive to the nearest public connection.
We have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router set up at one of our small offices. I noticed recently when trying to log in to the router to make some admin configurations that it will not accept the login credentials when trying to log in from IE10 browser. Works fine from Chrome, IE9, ect. logging in to a linksys router with IE10?
On my website I want visitors to be able to see the picture from my DSC-2121 using the example [URL] without having to enter user name and password. To begin the URL with "http://user:passwd......." no longer works in IE.
