I run a website for a local football team using Serif Webplus X6. On uploading the weekly updates of the site the process seems ok for a few minutes with progress bars showing uploading of files but then it all stops and I have to reset my wireless network adapter 1703 and it continues but I can't just leave it to work on its own. Device manager says that the drivers are up to date.

Do the Dell Wireless 1506 or 1703 cards support 802.11n over 5GHz?
The documentation I found indicate support for 802.11n over 2.4GHz but I have not found definitive confirmation that 5GHz is supported.
Have had my XPS One 27 for a few days and the 1703 wireless card has cut my download speeds more than half. Whereas I was getting anywhere from 75 to 80 Mbps on my previous machine with a b/g/n/ wireless card, I am now only able to get 25 to 30 Mbps on this new machine. Nothing has changed on my router, I just plugged in the XPS One 27 and it automatically found the router and I logged in without a problem. The router is the WNDR 3700. I am on a 105Mbps tier and need my download speed restored to what I used to get. Is there a "tweak" or is there a better wi-fi card I can install?

It also no longer will tell me there is a problem with the adapter, it just refuses to bring up any wireless connections. My laptop is a Dell N5110.

The only network adapter I have in device manager is Realtek RTL816D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) I'm fairly new to this so not sure if there is an easy fix to this.

When I've tried to diagnose the problem, it's given me the option to reset the network adapter, but that hasn't solved the problem. The person who started this thread seems to have similar issues - [URL], however, unlike him my drivers aren't missing. I tried downloading the Dell driver which applies to my WLAN card and reinstalling it anyway, but that didn't work. When I go to device manager, the device status claims that the device is working properly. I also did a system restore but the situation remains unchanged...I still can't connect to my wireless!
My computer is running Vista and prior to this happening I hadn't reinstalled or tried to change any settings, it just seems to have happened spontaneously.
I gave my old dell inspiron 1525 to a family member and the wireless network adapter has disappeared.

Following the directions of a Dell technician while trying to resolve a separate problem, I deleted the partitions on my hard drive and manually reinstalled both Vista and all the drivers that were on the Dell CD that came with my laptop. When I tried connecting to the internet, Vista said I did not have any wireless networking hardware, but before the reinstallation it worked just fine. View 8 Replies View RelatedI just moved into a new place and I've been having a lot of trouble with the wireless connection. There are 4 other people sharing the wireless and none of them seem to have problems, and my phone connects fine, but my laptop will randomly lose internet access while still detecting the network. When I run the troubleshooter it says it has reset the wireless adapter, and the connection will work again, but sometimes only for a few minutes before it craps out. I don't have access to the wireless router itself, so doing anything with that will require asking the landlady (who doesn't speak English well). I had access fine for the first two days after I moved in. I did install a couple of programs after that: 7-Zip and Flash Player 11.2 (since the newest Flash version crashes my Firefox). I don't know if that could have anything to do with it.

My computer started shutting off and not turning on. I had installed new parts a while ago and so I switched the new parts with the old ones (power supply and Graphics card) and it worked again. But i couldnt connect to the internet and i did a diagnoses and it said adapter not found or correctly installed or something like that. I couldnt find the adapter either. I was going to download the network adapter driver from the dell website on to a thumb drive and install in onto my desktop but i do not know which one to download.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed a fresh windows xp pro. os and downloaded a list of recommended drivers from Dell's driver page but some of the drivers will not load and I get the error "no Intel adapter on board." I am not sure what to look for at this point. I also downloaded a 32 bit gen adapter from Intel but it wont load. I could use a push in the right direction so I can get back to getting my homework done.

Adapter does not start at any time if I don't remove battery for a long period, or a shorter period if I depress the on/off button for 15-20 seconds. Works fine if it starts, but when it does not start it does not appear in Device Manager. If I close the lid (sleep) for even a split second the wifi will not come back on because the adapter is not active. The computer does not wake from sleep normally either, but that's been going on from the beginning and the wlan adapter is a new issue (in a long line of issues with this laptop.)

It is my understanding that these are used to send IPV4 encapsulated IPV6 packets across intranet, and that I need to update the network card drivers to fix the issue. I am not sure if the drivers shown on the Dell site will fix this issue.

I have the Inspiron N4010 and I recently had my LCD screen replaced everything seems to be working awesome...except all my drivers seem to not be working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for the device. I know I could just re-download the drivers except my internet network won't connect to wifi or router so I can not get on the internet to download the drivers!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the installation data "R147095 Dell Wireless Printer Adaptor 3300 Installation Set-UP.exe". Saved that to a new CD and loaded it to my PC. I get through most of the setup wizard but always fail at the same point - The adapter will not connect to the network. All the usual checks are positive and the network key is correct and in the appropriate case. I have run Driver Detective and that confirms that the drivers for the adapter are up to date. The printer is not yet installed on the PC and the software for it has not been loaded.
I have tried this procedure again on a second PC where the printer had been used as a wired slave printer but have uninstalled the printer first. Same result - Adapter fails to connect to the network.
Router is a Billion Bipac 7800 n. I can get other "newer" devices to connect without problems but this "old" adaptor is proving stubborn.
I have a problem with my router 861w and I don't know from where is this problem.
I have attached a hard drive on one of the Ethernet port of the router and I'm accessing this hard drive thru my laptop which is wireless connected. The problem is that when I start to transfer larger files from the hard drive to my laptop and the speed gets more or less 4 Mb / s the wireless card reset's and never go up after that. I have to reset the router by unplug it from the power source and then to transfer again.

I have an Acer Aspire One Net Book running Windows XP Home it is equipped with an internal wireless network adapter. I can connect/communicate with router and access the internet with no problems whatever. However, when I connect an external wireless network adapter e.g. Alpha AWUS036H I cannot get a connection when I disable my internal network adapter. I have also tried the Trendnet TEW-424UB USB external wireless network adapter and the symptoms are exactly the same.
