View 1 RepliesI am passing my computer on to a family member and wanted to give them a fresh install, so I used the Windows Vista (32-bit SP1) disc that came with the laptop and reinstalled Vista on the computer. Everything worked fine until I wanted to connect to the internet, then Windows said that there were no networks available. When I selected "Why can't windows find any networks" it said that "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured". I put in the Dell Driver's and Utilities CD that came with the computer and installed the drivers that seemed related to networks or communications, but the problem persists. I'm assuming it is some sort of driver issue (as the computer was using wireless internet before the reformat (just hours ago) and so the device itself seems to be working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC, and wanted to add a Wi-Fi ability to it.
I have a Dell TrueMobile 1300 USB Adapter, so I tried to connect it to the desktop.
Windows didn't recognized it. I searched really hard across the internet - but couldn't find a proper driver to this device.
The only related thing I've found is a UTILITY from dell site (over here: [URL]
- but still - this installed only the Utility, not the driver. The adapter still stays "Unreconized" on my computer.
I recently purchased a new Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 7. When I try to load my printer (Dell 924 All-in-one) and wireless printer adapter (Dell 3300) software it says it is not compatible with Windows&. Is there a patch or something that I can download from Dell to fix this issue?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy computer started shutting off and not turning on. I had installed new parts a while ago and so I switched the new parts with the old ones (power supply and Graphics card) and it worked again. But i couldnt connect to the internet and i did a diagnoses and it said adapter not found or correctly installed or something like that. I couldnt find the adapter either. I was going to download the network adapter driver from the dell website on to a thumb drive and install in onto my desktop but i do not know which one to download.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy laptop won't connect to the internet at all and status shows limited access to router. It was fine a few days ago until a Windows update. I did a system restore on it back to before the windows update and the internet was working just fine but then there was an automatic windows update again and the connection is gone again. When I try to troubleshoot it says the network adapter is not working properly. I'm currently using the main computer in the house. I can't access any network at all on my laptop and I'm nearly in tears. This has happened before about 7 months ago after a windows update. At that time I did a system restore and reinstalled the updates and it worked just fine. This time nothing. I have tried to check for updated drivers for the network adapters but windows says I'm running the recent ones.
View 8 Replies View RelatedRecently, nearly every time I start up my computer, I can't connect to the internet. I have internet, as says my modem, what I don't have is an internet adapter. I've checked the device manager, and network and sharing center, and it just doesn't exist. I restart a few times and by chance it finds the adapter and I can connect. I have no idea what's going on, as Googling has not worked much at all.[CODE]

But after upgrading it to Windows 8, my Local Area Connection now becomes Unidentified Network so I can't give my Xbox internet connection again. In diagnose the problem it says that "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP Configuration.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy laptop's wireless network adapter is not working Eventually I managed to re install the driver but that did absolutely nothing and now it won't connect unless I have the ethernet cable plugged in. It also no longer will tell me there is a problem with the adapter, it just refuses to bring up any wireless connections. My laptop is a Dell N5110.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDell Inspiron 1521 w/Vista Home Premium, wlan dell 1390. Adapter does not start at any time if I don't remove battery for a long period, or a shorter period if I depress the on/off button for 15-20 seconds. Works fine if it starts, but when it does not start it does not appear in Device Manager. If I close the lid (sleep) for even a split second the wifi will not come back on because the adapter is not active. The computer does not wake from sleep normally either, but that's been going on from the beginning and the wlan adapter is a new issue (in a long line of issues with this laptop.)

I recently replaced my hard driveon my Dell Studio 1749 and have installed all of the disks that came with my laptop, but for some reason I don't have a wireless network adapter to connect to available wif (I had wireless prior to the hard drive replacement). The only network adapter I have in device manager is Realtek RTL816D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) I'm fairly new to this so not sure if there is an easy fix to this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with connecting wirelessly with my laptop (Inspiron 1525). Suddenly it's only able to connect to the local network, but I have no internet access. When I've tried to diagnose the problem, it's given me the option to reset the network adapter, but that hasn't solved the problem. The person who started this thread seems to have similar issues - [URL], however, unlike him my drivers aren't missing. I tried downloading the Dell driver which applies to my WLAN card and reinstalling it anyway, but that didn't work. When I go to device manager, the device status claims that the device is working properly. I also did a system restore but the situation remains unchanged...I still can't connect to my wireless!
My computer is running Vista and prior to this happening I hadn't reinstalled or tried to change any settings, it just seems to have happened spontaneously.
I gave my old dell inspiron 1525 to a family member and the wireless network adapter has disappeared.

I have run all kinds of diagnostics on the dell site but when internet acces is working nothing seems to be wrong. I have a XPS dimension 8300 with a Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet adapter

It is my understanding that these are used to send IPV4 encapsulated IPV6 packets across intranet, and that I need to update the network card drivers to fix the issue. I am not sure if the drivers shown on the Dell site will fix this issue.
just joined but i had a virus on my laptop which i had to re-install windows 7 ultimate (not through a CD) so i log back in my laptop to find my f-keys aren't working and that i cannot connect to the internet without the ethernet cable , beside my network controller it has a yellow exclamation mark saying "windows cannot find the driver code 28"
