I recently purchased a new Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 7. When I try to load my printer (Dell 924 All-in-one) and wireless printer adapter (Dell 3300) software it says it is not compatible with Windows&. Is there a patch or something that I can download from Dell to fix this issue?
View 2 RepliesI am trying to configure a 3300 Wireless Print Adapter with a NET GEAR WNDR3700 Wireless N Router. During the Configuration if I have no security set up on my network, the 3300 establishes a connection. If I however, turn any form of security on ( WEP, WPA-PSK [TKIP, WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] ), the Connection fails. No security is not an option.
This happened while switching routers. The 3300 worked fine on my D-Link Wireless G router (WEP). I was wondering how to resolve it.?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to access the settings webapge so that I can delete computers from the scan list. When I select the settings link it attempts to open the page but then the lights on the adapter start to flash and it seems to lose the connection with it ....... The other links e.g. status, information and security seem to work OK provided they are aceessed before I select the settings link. One the lights have started to flash I have to switch off the adapter and switch back to restore the connection to the network. The adapter is connected to a BTHomehub. Other than this issue the printer works fine through the network.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a Vostro 3300, which was working very well, and when I upgraded my OS from Win7 to Win8 my internet speed through wireless connection became very low, I checked for a driver update but did not find any that is compatible with windows 8. I also tried some old Windows 7 drivers with and without "compatibility Mode" but still not working. I should also mention that when I connect to the internet through Ethernet, I get the full speed.

As you wil see, the dw1501 wireless network card is not support this connection speeds even though the card is advertised as a wireless N card. Some users managed to replace their card with the better ones.
I installed W8 on my Dell Studio 1735 computer. Wireless Internet access is very very slow. I have not this problem with W7 on the same computer. I tried it with an external Network cable. Very fast, 50mbps. I also tried it with an external USB Belkin wifi adaptor. It works fine. Computer has a Dell Wireless 1500 N WLAN Mini Card. Driver version:5.100.245.20 Date 2012-03-13. I cannot find any better driver.
I have one more problem that I don't have with W7. I cannot rate the computer. The Windows experience index cannot go past the test of Direct3D 10 Texture Load Assesment.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Vostro 3300 laptop with Windows 7 and ran a Kaspersky Virus Scan which deleted virus' and trojan programs but now my computer says there are 'no connections available'....my WiFi is definitely working as I am able to connect on my phone and other laptop.I have checked my network adapters on Device Manager and they have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, including 'DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card'. I have checked whether the drivers are up to date and it says they are.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently my setup works fine except that I need another ethernet port.I have a E4200V2 with a HP laserjet 4000N printer connected via JetDirect ethernet and I am able to print with any of my devices.However, because I have need of another ethernet port, I am wondering if anybody has tried using a parallel to usb cable? The parallel side of the cable being connect to the printer and the usb side to the router.
Or if I really want that port made available, will I have to get some type of external print server?
I know that HP makes a JetDirect Card with a USB port, however, I don't want to spend the $80 on ebay to get a used one if a $10 new cable will work.
I have problems with wifi. When I install windows 8 or Ubuntu wifi works fine, but with windows 7 even adapter not working.

I am passing my computer on to a family member and wanted to give them a fresh install, so I used the Windows Vista (32-bit SP1) disc that came with the laptop and reinstalled Vista on the computer. Everything worked fine until I wanted to connect to the internet, then Windows said that there were no networks available. When I selected "Why can't windows find any networks" it said that "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured". I put in the Dell Driver's and Utilities CD that came with the computer and installed the drivers that seemed related to networks or communications, but the problem persists. I'm assuming it is some sort of driver issue (as the computer was using wireless internet before the reformat (just hours ago) and so the device itself seems to be working.

A friend gave me a Netgear 3300 wireless router. No start up disk, just the router. I get internet through Comcast. My main computer is an iMac. I want a couple of MacBooks, an iPad2, and a Dell laptop to connect to the wireless network. First, will the 3300 work with these devices? When I look at the device driver details, it recognises it, and also says the drivers are up to date. When i try to connect to the modem for internet connection it says ....There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection 4 adaptor. A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken....Ichanged the cable, still same message, I went to the internet on another computer to download drivers but it still says drivers are up to date. Im thinking that it might be a faulty usb card but when I spoke to a guy at a computer shop he said that they are not compatible with 64bit computers. Ok then why did it work for 30 - 1hour.
