I installed windows xp on a pc that had no OS it previously had windows xp sp3 but I deleted the partion by mistake, so I went down to windows home sp3. after the setup I have no Internet access atall, whenever I try making a dial up etc it just doesn't work, I am using a fairly old computer optilex 6x620 just for browsing, but I have to swtich to Ubunutu to get internet access which is so slow.
I have a dell Inspiron laptop N4010 and my hard drive was crashed and I bough the new hard drive (Seagate 250 SATA/GB/GO) before I have a TOSHIBA Hard drive with 500gb.I have installed the Window 7 Home Premium but I was trying to install Network drivers(for wireless and LAN) but those drivers are not installed due to hardware not compatible . I don't understand what I am missing in this process.network controller - VEN 8086 DEV 0087.
My phone is a Nokia-N900, and I find the most useful way to interact with it from my PC is by ssh. Luckily it is possible to switch out the usb-networking module in the devices kernel to make it appear to windows as a generic RNDIS gadget. Plugging it into a windows PC I can now ssh into it, I can open an sftp session, everything works perfectly...
Except I can't access the web. I can't view other network resources. I look in the network connections section in the control panel and see my two connections, but I don't see any way to set which one to use for what. Seeing as I only use usb0 for ssh and eth0 for everything else, it seems I need a way to set it up so that usb0 only gets port 22 or something similar.
Is there any way to achieve this, or another method by which I could leave my phone connected to my Pc while using it for other network tasks?
reinstalled my windows 7 and it doesn't have the network adapter drivers,so i go and dowloand the drivers i install and it still says no drivers installed, and yes i got the right driver,i tryed everything just cant get it working
My laptop won't connect to the internet at all and status shows limited access to router. It was fine a few days ago until a Windows update. I did a system restore on it back to before the windows update and the internet was working just fine but then there was an automatic windows update again and the connection is gone again. When I try to troubleshoot it says the network adapter is not working properly. I'm currently using the main computer in the house. I can't access any network at all on my laptop and I'm nearly in tears. This has happened before about 7 months ago after a windows update. At that time I did a system restore and reinstalled the updates and it worked just fine. This time nothing. I have tried to check for updated drivers for the network adapters but windows says I'm running the recent ones.
Recently, nearly every time I start up my computer, I can't connect to the internet. I have internet, as says my modem, what I don't have is an internet adapter. I've checked the device manager, and network and sharing center, and it just doesn't exist. I restart a few times and by chance it finds the adapter and I can connect. I have no idea what's going on, as Googling has not worked much at all.[CODE]
So usually I'm using my Windows 7 + USB Modem with ICS enabled to give my xbox 360 internet access and it's working fine. But after upgrading it to Windows 8, my Local Area Connection now becomes Unidentified Network so I can't give my Xbox internet connection again. In diagnose the problem it says that "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP Configuration.
My network adapter is always disabled at startup. When I go to network and sharing centre - it shows that it is enabled. I dsable it, then enable it, and I can then go online. It is just annoying that I should have to do this each time before I can access the internet?
months ago, i installed a USB card so that my dvd burner could run at 2.0 or 3.0. it has worked fine. every now and then the card becomes unlodged from inside the computer, and i have to push it back into the slot.Tonight, while the computer was on, i was putting it back in, and it popped all the way out, my computer shut down and when i restarted it, i got the error message "windows did not find properly installed network adapter/ if you have network adapter update/re-install drivers"Only problem i have is when i go to device manager, i see NO network adapter?
I have been hacking at this problem for two days and can not figure it out.I built a new computer ASUS M3A78-T and installed windows 7 64bit everything was working fine. I did not validate the version of windows because I was waiting to replace the 500g hard drive with a 120 ssd. By the time I recieved the ssd windows validation time had expired, I tried to validate the version of windows and I could not because the network adapter was now gone! This is strange because when I first built it it as fine and I was all over the internet via broadband ethernet cable. Now the internet box has a red x and will not recognize the cable and no lights are flashing on the back as well. It seems I ned to reinstall the driver so I used another computer and downloaded the only LAN file from ASUS website and nothing.
I purchased a new built system, worked great 5 days, major trojan forced a reformat of drive. Now Win 7 64 Device Manager is empty- no network adapter found - I get the notice that "there are no properly installed network adapters". I use the on-board network adapter on the mobo, no plug in network card, hard wired to DSL -- like I said, it worked fine for a few days now it's GONE after reformat.
My laptop keeps saying "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-insatll the driver". I've found the right one and it still want install. Says it's the wrong one but i'm pretty sure it's the right one. I just did a fresh install where i put windows 7 extreme on a laptop and i can't seem to ge the right drivers i guess. I don't know if it's the wrong driver or a bad NIC Card.
i upgraded my laptop from window 7 home to windows 7 unlitmate and the wireless network adapter has been removed is there a link i can download to re install it so that i can connect wireless again?
My desktops _usually_ connect, and then the connection will drop/go slow(14400 slow)/give that little yelow triangle on top of the wifi icon.First i had an edimax wifi PCI, now i have a trendnet wifi PCI. They both do the same thing. If i connect my HTC hero and start internet sharing, it works very well, and is stable. My ethernet works fine as well. It is like my computer is immune to PCI cards?I have tried with different wifi APs now, but its still the same.I have a zyxel adsl modem, and a linksys wifi AP hooked up to that. I noticed, that when my desktop is connected, the zyxel will get some kind of overflow from the linksys. It says "client reached max number of sessions per host" It's like my desktop is killing the network. I have tried many things. Drivers, fail safe, registry cleaner(I know), killing all unnescessary program, switching the PCI ports, but none of it seems to work.
I had my laptop running connectify (access point app) and it actually worked fine, but today it won't connect to that either.I'm going to create another partition on my harddrive, and install fresh windows 7 on that, and see if it does the same. But even if it doesn't I _want_ to find out what is causing this instabillity. When i try running the network diagnostics, it says DNS error, or that the router is fail. But my laptop works fine. Also, when doing speed tests, my laptop gets normal speeds, and my desktop is VERY slow DL, but normal UL ?In speed tests my desktop is very slow, but stable, but during the test, my laptop will first go like 2 mb/s - 3mb/s DL and suddently BURST up to like 64 mb/s although i only have 10 mbit line? It's like its buffering or something. Very weird behaviour, but working fine. And no, i do not have torrent programs or whatever running. Some says that i shout try and change wifi channel and bands, and avoid "mixed" mode, but none of it works. Always the same problem.ATM. my computer can't connect to any wifi at all. It keeps having the yellow triangle.
I upgraded my pc to windows 7 and now i cant connect to the internet at all i have a wireless usb for internet that dont work and i plug a cord right into the back and it still dont work i troubleshooted and it said windows cannot find driver for your network adaptor i cant seem to find the driver i have a Windows 7 32bit pc and a cisco DCP3825 router
I was wondering what kind of wireless network adapter stick I should get for my windows 7 computer? My older one somehow had issues (device was not recognized or whatever)
I have a Gateway Notebook Model ML6720 that has built-in Wireless. The PC was heavily infected by Virus and I had to re-install Vista Operating system. Now, it will not detect the Wireless Adapter. I went to the maufacturer's website on another computer and downloaded the driver and installed the driver on the laptop. However, it did not work. The blue "wireless" light on the laptop is "lit", however when I go to "Device Manager" and look at the Network Drives, it only shows the wired Ethernet option.
I have an i7-2700K system with MSI Z68A-GD80 MB running on Window 7. Awesome system. Only one issue. The Network Adapter section keeps disappearing from Device Manager, causing my ethernet to fail, no lights on either of the RJ45 ports with cable plugged in. All of the latest drivers are installed. I've Googled it and see others with the same problem and have followed the "temporary" solution - shut down the system, unplug it from the power supply, yank the memory out, press the power button with PSU unplugged to "bleed" the caps (or use the pwr/reset button on the MB before shutting it down), let it sit for several minutes (it takes mine at least an hour, so I'm thinking the system needs to be completely cooled down) and then put it all back together and turn it on. Network Adapter section shows up again, Ethernet lights return, internet works again.
This works until the next time the system shuts down and then I have to do this all over again. Extremely annoying problem. I'm not sure if it's a faulty MB or if there's an actual permanent fix.
Well one day i went onto my gaming PC and started playing, it randomly restarted and did some random windows check while starting. Then when i finally logged on i had no internet connection, my computer didnt sense there being a cable plugged in (Wired connection. The orange light wasn't on) So i figured i should just reinstall windows anyway (Blue screens, ect) After i reinstall i have the same issues. I have moved it to a different room and still the same thing. If i can't fix it then i plan to just buy a USB wireless but i would like to see what others think what i should do before i go making hasty decisions.
The computer say "Windows could not find a driver for your network adapter" I have tried many things i have found on this forum and nothing. So maybe a link to a driver? my Router is a Linksys WRT54GL and has always worked.
I am passing my computer on to a family member and wanted to give them a fresh install, so I used the Windows Vista (32-bit SP1) disc that came with the laptop and reinstalled Vista on the computer. Everything worked fine until I wanted to connect to the internet, then Windows said that there were no networks available. When I selected "Why can't windows find any networks" it said that "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured". I put in the Dell Driver's and Utilities CD that came with the computer and installed the drivers that seemed related to networks or communications, but the problem persists. I'm assuming it is some sort of driver issue (as the computer was using wireless internet before the reformat (just hours ago) and so the device itself seems to be working.
I have a pair of ASA 5520s operating in failover pair as active/standby, having two contexts on them. I am planning to share the load and make it active/active making first context active on the primary unit and second context active on the secondary unit. My question is if this will disrupt any connectivity thru these firewalls when I do "no failover" on the active/standby and assign the contexts to different failover groups and enable the failover back.
the network id button is disabled on my windows 7 home premium laptop.client for microsoft network is installed network card is okay, infact i can see the network locally but i can join the domain.
My new Windows 8 computer is not wi-fi capable, I bought the adapter but it only works with Windows 7, they have a link to upgrade to Windows 8 but I don't know where to go from there.
We are still running ACS 4.1 on Window 2003 server. We recently upgraded AD to 2008 although the domain and forest functional level are still 2003. After AD upgrade we now unable to authenticate via ACS Windows Database.
We are planning to upgrade CORP Domain from Windows 2003 Active Directory Schema to Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory Schema.
I wanted to know if the following applications which are installed on windows (domain member servers) are compatible with windows 2008 server R2 schema?
CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution 2.6 Cisco Secure Access Control System 4.2Cisco Fabric Manager 1.5
i have installed system (Windows Server 2003) and i have configure Active directory for testing and configure one user under it ( TEST01)now on the same machine i have installed Cisco ACS 4.2.i'm trying to Authenticate (TEST01) using ACS but it's not working, i can't even see the logs under EVENTVIWER. simple and easy to configure since both AD and ACS is on the same machine.
