No Properly Installed Network Adapter / Windows 7 64bit

Oct 2, 2011

I purchased a new built system, worked great 5 days, major trojan forced a reformat of drive. Now Win 7 64 Device Manager is empty- no network adapter found - I get the notice that "there are no properly installed network adapters". I use the on-board network adapter on the mobo, no plug in network card, hard wired to DSL -- like I said, it worked fine for a few days now it's GONE after reformat.

Windows Did Not Detect A Properly Installed Network Adapter

My laptop keeps saying "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-insatll the driver". I've found the right one and it still want install. Says it's the wrong one but i'm pretty sure it's the right one. I just did a fresh install where i put windows 7 extreme on a laptop and i can't seem to ge the right drivers i guess. I don't know if it's the wrong driver or a bad NIC Card.

Linksys WRT54GL Router - Windows Could Not Find Driver For Network Adapter

Oct 2, 2012

Well one day i went onto my gaming PC and started playing, it randomly restarted and did some random windows check while starting. Then when i finally logged on i had no internet connection, my computer didnt sense there being a cable plugged in (Wired connection. The orange light wasn't on) So i figured i should just reinstall windows anyway (Blue screens, ect) After i reinstall i have the same issues. I have moved it to a different room and still the same thing. If i can't fix it then i plan to just buy a USB wireless but i would like to see what others think what i should do before i go making hasty decisions.

The computer say "Windows could not find a driver for your network adapter" I have tried many things i have found on this forum and nothing. So maybe a link to a driver? my Router is a Linksys WRT54GL and has always worked.

Dell :: XPS M1330 Can't Find Network Adapter After Reinstalling Windows Vista

Jan 10, 2013

I am passing my computer on to a family member and wanted to give them a fresh install, so I used the Windows Vista (32-bit SP1) disc that came with the laptop and reinstalled Vista on the computer. Everything worked fine until I wanted to connect to the internet, then Windows said that there were no networks available. When I selected "Why can't windows find any networks" it said that "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured". I put in the Dell Driver's and Utilities CD that came with the computer and installed the drivers that seemed related to networks or communications, but the problem persists. I'm assuming it is some sort of driver issue (as the computer was using wireless internet before the reformat (just hours ago) and so the device itself seems to be working.

Linksys Wireless Adapters :: WUSB600N May Not Be Installed Properly - Error 211

Mar 17, 2011

I am using the USB network adaptor, Model : WUSB600N version 2.  It has worked fine whenever I have needed it. Except now.  I received “Your adapter may not be installed properly”” ERROR 211: The network adapter is not installed properly” message last night.  Also the Windows pop-up message:  “USB device not recognized” message.  I removed the adaptor and reinstalled it into another USB port.  The same thing happened.  I moved it again to a third USB port,  I received the same error on all five of my PC’s USB ports.  I was not able to access the network at all last night.

I brought in laptop into work today ,  because the antenna/extension is kept there.   I inserted the adaptor and it started right up.    After an hour of usage, I disconnected the antenna and the adaptor and reinserting the adaptor without the antenna directly into the USB port.  And it still worked fine.I turned the PC off, disconnected everything and went to lunch.   When I returned, booted up the PC, and inserted the adaptor and, once again got the error message:  “ERROR 211 – The network adapter is not installed properly…. I tried again, this time using the antenna, and it is up and working for now.

And I am not sure which drivers I need if it is missing drivers.

Dell :: Can't Find Driver To TrueMobile 1300 USB Adapter For Windows 7

Mar 26, 2012

I've just installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC, and wanted to add a Wi-Fi ability to it.

I have a Dell TrueMobile 1300 USB Adapter, so I tried to connect it to the desktop.

Windows didn't recognized it. I searched really hard across the internet - but couldn't find a proper driver to this device.

The only related thing I've found is a UTILITY from dell site (over here: [URL]

- but still - this installed only the Utility, not the driver. The adapter still stays "Unreconized" on my computer.

In device manager, it says those devices aren't installed. I can't install them because the laptop has no internet. I can't seem to find the drivers for them either on intel. Seems like the reinstallation deleted my network adapter.. I can't find the correct link on intel.. I've tried like 3-4 on my laptop and none of them seem to work..

Can't Find Devolo AV+ Adapter On Network

Dec 30, 2011

I bought a pair of Devolo AV+ adapters yesterday to hook up a couple of bits of kit that don't have wireless capability. Following the (very basic) instructions in the box, I've 'plugged & played' and the data is flowing through my home's electricity cables as I type but I'm not 100% happy. The kit comes with a software programme with which you're supposed to be able to use to keep a check on the various adapters you've set up on the network as well as update the firmware they use - this is the part I'm having trouble with. When I have one of the adapters plugged into the wall socket and connected to my laptop via ethernet cable, the software still cannot find it and shows the message:"No local dLAN device found. Please connect a dLAN device to your network card or check the cable connection."I know it's connected - I'm using it to connect to the net now (I turned off the wireless adapter to make sure the dLAN was working). I've tried both adapters separately, with the other hooked up to my router and without to see if that made a difference and still no.The Devolo instruction manuals are pretty basic & don't take users through a step-by-step process and there is no useful information on their website either.

Inspiron M5030 Wireless Adapter Does Not Work Properly?

Dec 1, 2012

I'm working on an M5030 that has a red X on the wireless and will not find any networks.

- The ethernet connection WORKS

- The fn+f2 wireless switch combo seems to do nothing

- I've updated the bios

- I've uninstalled and installed the latest driver

- I've installed external USB wireless adapter but it has same issue

- I've scanned for malware, all clean.

When I go to network adapters it has signal bars on the wireless adapter but when I right click -> connect disconnect -> nothing shows as available. If I diagnose, it just says there may be a problem with the wireless adapter. I've tried DISABLING ZoneAlarm firewall to no avail also.

Wifi Stopped Working / Says Adapter Not Installed

Feb 19, 2011

I turned on the monitor (I had left the system running) and it said that it had recovered from an unexpected shut down. It didn't automatically connect to the wifi, so I opened the connections window to connect to a network and it said "Windows cannot find any networks." I refreshed several times and nothing happened. I clicked the option underneath "Diagnose why windows can't find any networks," and it came back with "This computer does not have a wireless adapter installed and configured." I then opened up the device manager, and under network Adapters, the only thing is "Intel(R) 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Connection." I checked it out and it says it's working properly, and I believe that this adapter is for when you actually connect a cable directly to the PC.

Dell :: Inspiron 15R - Physical Wi-Fi Adapter Not Installed

Jan 26, 2013

I have recently gone as far as restoring my computer to its "factory" state to try and combat this issue.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is much else I can do at this point - the issue has not been resolved.

I re-installed factory drivers for my adapter, then replaced those with updated drivers from Intel. I was 'alright' for a while, but have had to launch Device Manager to re-enable the adapter, or restart my computer entirely because it failed to display my adapter at all. At this point, I get no result with either.

I have tried to 'recognize' the adapter as a new device (added hardware), but that didn't solve anything - it duplicated it in Device Manager and then displayed the yellow exclamation point indicating it needed new drivers - I attempted to update but it displayed an error, so I ended up uninstalling the duplicate.

At this point, I feel like it's the hardware that is the problem, and not my computer's ability to recognize it. Though I have been able to connect to my network in the past, its ability to function would be patchy, at best, if I could get it to work at this point. Should I try to reset/replace my wireless card, or is there something else I can try?

My 'network card' is fine, according to a diagnostic, and my Bluetooth works fine.

Installed Network Printer On Windows 7 Machine / Now XP Machine Won't Print To It

Jul 20, 2011

New Win-7 machine set up. I used the printer set-up wizard to install a networked printer in the new machine with absolutely no problem. Proved it would print from that machine. Now, I get a call informing me that her old XP machine, which had been printing to the network printer with no problems, will no longer print.Documents go into the print queue, but they don't get printed. No error messages show up.I did some messing around via remote access, and finally removed the printer with the intention of reinstalling it.Scanning for network printers turned up several redundant instances of the same printer with different names. Some are identified as "invalid" some a "access denied". Bottom line. I can't get any of the selections to install. On the Win-7 machine I did find a window that indicated that the printer is designated as being shared, but I didn't explicitly set it for sharing when I installed it. Also, I somehow got to a window that told me that for printers that were to be shared with other versions of windows I could optionally install drivers to support such machines. Didn't have the driver disk handy and took the window down. Now I can't even find it again.I need sorting this all out.Part of the problem is that out there in "network land" there are redundant remnants of previous installations that are being remembered inappropriately.

Dell :: Wireless-N 2230 / Physical Wi-Fi Adapter Not Installed

Mar 25, 2013

After using it for a while, it disconnected from the WiFi, and after restarting the laptop I got a pop up message saying a physical WiFi adapter is not installed, meaning I can no longer use my wireless connection, but only a cord. Going to device manager, I did not see the wireless hardware on the list of network adapters (Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 With Bluetooth 4.0), however it is still listed for the Bluetooth. I have already tried reinstalling the drivers, system restore, dell diagnosis (which says there is no problem), AlienAutopsy (which also said there is no problem) and scanning for hardware changes from the device manager, none of this has fixed the issue at all.

Have restarted PC and uninstalled and reinstalled the card.I tried to set the i.p address to static but it says "adapter disconnected" so won't allow me to edit any settings, despite it being able to find neighbour's wireless very easily.
