Nov 12, 2011months ago, i installed a USB card so that my dvd burner could run at 2.0 or 3.0. it has worked fine. every now and then the card becomes unlodged from inside the computer, and i have to push it back into the slot.Tonight, while the computer was on, i was putting it back in, and it popped all the way out, my computer shut down and when i restarted it, i got the error message "windows did not find properly installed network adapter/ if you have network adapter update/re-install drivers"Only problem i have is when i go to device manager, i see NO network adapter?

Oct 2, 2011I purchased a new built system, worked great 5 days, major trojan forced a reformat of drive. Now Win 7 64 Device Manager is empty- no network adapter found - I get the notice that "there are no properly installed network adapters". I use the on-board network adapter on the mobo, no plug in network card, hard wired to DSL -- like I said, it worked fine for a few days now it's GONE after reformat.

Nov 11, 2012My laptop keeps saying "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-insatll the driver". I've found the right one and it still want install. Says it's the wrong one but i'm pretty sure it's the right one. I just did a fresh install where i put windows 7 extreme on a laptop and i can't seem to ge the right drivers i guess. I don't know if it's the wrong driver or a bad NIC Card.

Mar 17, 2011I am using the USB network adaptor, Model : WUSB600N version 2. It has worked fine whenever I have needed it. Except now. I received “Your adapter may not be installed properly”” ERROR 211: The network adapter is not installed properly” message last night. Also the Windows pop-up message: “USB device not recognized” message. I removed the adaptor and reinstalled it into another USB port. The same thing happened. I moved it again to a third USB port, I received the same error on all five of my PC’s USB ports. I was not able to access the network at all last night.
I brought in laptop into work today , because the antenna/extension is kept there. I inserted the adaptor and it started right up. After an hour of usage, I disconnected the antenna and the adaptor and reinserting the adaptor without the antenna directly into the USB port. And it still worked fine.I turned the PC off, disconnected everything and went to lunch. When I returned, booted up the PC, and inserted the adaptor and, once again got the error message: “ERROR 211 – The network adapter is not installed properly…. I tried again, this time using the antenna, and it is up and working for now.

Aug 29, 2011I have a user using windows 7 64 bit. I tried vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0290-k9.exe and vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0440-k9.exe. Installation is fine. Connecting is fine. But no traffic goes through.The remote end cisco is 1811 VPN Server split tunnel. User get authenticated by Radius server.
After connected, user get the correct IP address. In router, sh crypto session, it has SA, etc. But sh ip route, can't find the Static route point back to the client IP like other connections.
At user end, windows show the IP address but no gateway. Windows route print shows the VPN network via gateway xxx.xxx.xxx.1 which is not available.Other 32bit users have no issues with VPN.
Cisco Wireless :: Installed 4 AP541N Units In A Client Site
Sep 20, 2011Installed 4 AP541N units in a client site and they've now come back with reports of issues with the setup. I went out there today to take a look and the issue is primarily that randomly during the day, clients will loose access to DHCP. The client authenticates fine (we see success logs in the Windows 2008 RADIUS event logs) but doesn't manage to get an ip address.To sum up the things with the current setup:
- Running version 2.0 Code on the AP541N's.
- Using Windows 2008 for NPS (RADIUS) and DHCP.
- Cisco Catalyst Switching in the back end.
Things tend to work fine in the morning. It's as the site hits midday that we start seeing issues.In looking at the issue I've come across a number of posts in regards to issues with DHCP and these units. One item that was suggested to switch off Mutlicast / Broadcast limiting on the Advanced Settings. What's weird with this is that if I do disable this option, RADIUS authentication stops working entirely. Switch limiting back on and RADIUS works again. I've confirmed this with Network Monitor running on the RADIUS Server.
Servers :: Default Gateway / IP And DNS Address For Client PC?
May 29, 2012Client is having 1 file server running small business windows server 2003. Server is not configured with domain, it is working only on workgroup. We have around 15 users who are using that server as file server only. Now my main question is do i need to configure DNS server in that server?we also have internet connection running (have problem in that also, will explain next time) with wireless router to connected with switch. So do I need to setup dns in server also or just put static ip (I prefer static then dhcp) & dns server from ip will be ok? If I put dns which I got from ISP, so will it create any problem with using those file from server?the second question is..
What IP address, Default gateway and dns address I should use for Server & also client pc.

Users are able to connect without a problem. Windows 7 (32bit) clients with this same VPN client get this address but get a default gateway 10.10.50.2 and are unable to connect for obvious reasons.
