Sep 5, 2012i just got a sager notebook for college and i just received it. i just opened it out of the box and was unable to connect to wifi. My other computer and iphone are working fine on it. My wifi shows up i am just not able to connect to my internet. ive tried to download drivers and reinstall them.

Jul 12, 2013It’s just that I had it with Bluetooth in it in my Alienware Mx14-R2 and for some reasons now the Bluetooth doesn’t seem to work.Not I can find the driver in the device manager also., Before I use to use it but now it’s creating problem and it’s just the Bluetooth that doesn’t seem to work.
I did notify Alienware team about it and they did the online conference GO Assist and they did re-install the whole software but there seems to be problem still.I thought it’s better to ask the experts who made the device. I was also told if it doesn’t work that I could just do the factory settings that came with the alienware.

Dec 30, 2012I let him take control of the system, he ran [URL] with me 6 feet from router, and then again 30 feet. Huge difference in speed, approximately 10x slower at 30 feet. He initially stated the problem was with the antenna connection and offered to send a tech to replace the antenna, which requires a display replacement as well. I was skeptical so pressed him to verify that this was a known solution since there were so many complaints. He was absolutely certain this was the issue, but put me on hold to double check. He came back and stated they needed to replace the wi-fi card from the Dell 1901 to Intel 2230 along with the antenna. As a former antenna engineer, I suspect the problem is the design of the antenna and/or its location, and not the drivers or wi-fi card.

Sep 25, 2012Ive set my laptop to stay on when the lid is closed. Now when i do close the lid, the touchpad reacts to the screen and starts doing all sorts of crazy things, zooming in and out, moving the taskbar around, opening things and deleting things.Ive resorted having to place a cloths or kleenex folded in half over the touchpad when i close the lid. ive also disabled the touch and used a mouse and no problems. I have updated the drivers and dell toucpad, ive even uninstalled everything and installed the synaptic drivers and touchpad software.. Yet another problem with the l521x.How can i fix this? maybe the touchpad is defective and has to be replaced?

Jul 24, 2012I got my Brand new xps 15 yesterday, It works fine, looks great, I'm overall satisfied with it. (even though it gets warm all the time)
Problem is, the WIFI doesn't work well at all, I'm 2 meters from my box right now, And I'm not experiencing any problems, but as soon as I get upstairs in my bedroom, my signal speed drops significantly, I can't even load a you tube video, I was downloading a game from steam yesterday, and the dl speed dropped to 6mb/s!! That's awful, If this problem can't be fixed, I'll be returning mine, and won't buy any other Dell product, I don't see how a laptop that pricey can have that kind of problems. ( because I heard I wasn't the only one, a lot of people have the same problem).
Dell :: 1202 New Laptop Disconnects And Reconnects Constantly
Jan 18, 2013I just bought a m14x alienware and I have the Killer-Wireless 1202 wireless card on it, and I have a 2Wire router from AT&T running in ch 1 at optimum 10. Also, I have another laptop that connects to the same router and this does not happen to it at all.I can connect to the internet fine but when i start browsing, I randomly disconnect from the internet and connect to it again within seconds, and my laptop never shows that it looses internet. I first noticed it when I was using Skype, i started browsing the internet while I was in a call and that's when it happens most, it disconnects, puts the call on hold and says that I'm offline on skype, and within a few seconds I'm back on. This also happens when I'm gaming and it really becomes a hassle when i have to start the game up again because of these disconnections. Rarely i do see a screen from the actual router to check the wired connections of the router and then test the connection when opening a website (any website), when i press test connection (without doing anything) it tells me that the connection has been resolved and to close my browser and to open a new one. However, most of the times, the pages load fine when I'm browsing, I do notice there is a small lag when the disconnections happen, but the page loads up fine after a few seconds, no need to refresh.
I tried releasing and renewing my IP but i get a message that no action can be taken when media is disconnected? I don't know if that has anything to do with it.I also updated the Wireless 1202 Driver with the bigfoot update, although I'm not sure if i did this right, I unzipped all the files where it told me C:/user/driver/wireless (example) but i never got a window to proceed after that, and when i went to the folder and ran the application, it asked me if I wanted to uninstall all components, which is when i canceled and left the newly created files there.

Sep 13, 2012I have been trying to update my Killer-n 1103 card and Killer Network software. When I downloaded the recommended driver from their site and tried to install it it said to uninstall the old drivers/software which I did. Now when I try to install the new software it says there is no compatile hardware. This happens for the Dell recommended drivers as well.

Feb 3, 2010Wireless service on Dell laptop computer had been running fine for 4.5 months until underground Comcast cable failed, presumably due to freezing and thawing in cold New England soil. All Comcast service went out, TV, Internet cable modem, etc. Service was restored with above ground cable, and wireless service returned to other devices in household, but not the Dell laptop. I am wondering if my wireless card itself was damaged in the event, as no software fixes I have tried have worked. However, the device manager says the Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-card is working properly and the driver software for the service is up to date.
Some of the messages I have received from various command line and dialogue box attempted fixes:

Nov 28, 2012some days ago a technical Dell replace on my XPS17 L702X the fan because more often, while I was working, fan get started (noise, decrease in performance, and so on ...). After some hours my laptop dies, I found it tourned off and it didn't start again. So, afert two days, another technical Dell changed XPS17 's motherboard and the power connector. The same day I worked with my notebook without any problemes, but at the end of my workday I shut down the system (Windows server 2008) and It restart automatically. I tried again more than once, but at the end my laptop restart automatically again (I have two partitions: Win 7 and Win 2008 server Both OS has the same issue: automatic reboot afert shut down). This morning I turned on my laptop and immediatelty I shut it down and It dind't restar, during the day while I was working, sometimes I turned it off and all seems ok, but this evening (after a workday and after backup) it restarted automatically again after shut down !

But the wireless driver continually gave me a Setup.rul 380 error, so I did a manual install of that. Unfortunately something is still incorrect. The internet connects, but the wireless icon at the bottom has a pop that says "Adapter Problem. Driver is not installed." I don't know a lot about computers and I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I can't figure this one out.

Oct 14, 2012Inspiron N5050.Fresh install Win 7 sp1 home premium.I have the Dell drivers disc.when I go through the list of drivers to install, there is one listed for the wireless card for this computer, but it does not have the 'tick' which says the device has been detected.i try to install that driver anyway and I am asked to "Activate Bluetooth Using Wireless Switch". I went here [URL] and then did a search for DW1702, which is the card listed on my customer invoice. From that search I am taken here [URL] which lists 3 kinds of drivers: A01, A02 and A03. I have tried all three. A01 and A03 give up quite quickly. With the A02 the InstallShield Wizard starts up and most of the installation seems to take place and then it gives up. Windows tells me the driver was not installed properly.Whenever there is a problem over drivers, Dell tells us to install the Notebook System Software. There is no NSS on my drivers disc. (It does not come up on the list of drivers to install when the disc is first inserted and is not listed under 'System Utilities'.) Since I can't connect to the internet without at least an ethernet driver installed, how am I supposed to install the NSS first? In any case when I enter my service tag on here or do a search for the N5050, I am given 11 filtered results and 33 'all related drivers' but no NSS.I was charged extra for the drivers disc and it doesn't have what I want. The laptop without a wireless card is useless to me.
